Service was awful - my friend dishes had hair in them. Had to ask for the check twice, we waited for silverware for a long time, we were there for almost two hours. Not worth the wait and the food wasn’t even that great.

Simply exquisite!!!! Food, service, and ambience all! Every dish we tried was delicious, and presentation was fantastic as well! We can’t wait to go back there to try different dishes!

Marvelous. Sushi is creatively conceived and presented. Marinated cod rocks! Just a top-class experience. Jonas is a terrific server, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.

I don’t eat seafood (by choice not allergies) and found plenty of options to mix/match while others enjoyed the sushi. Favorites were the crunchy tuna roll, Oh Toro, and truffle eel maki. I enjoyed the chicken lettuce wraps, strip steak bites, and portobello maki special. Great service from Jonas - he recommended an entry-level sake for the table which we enjoyed too.

I am a regular at Zama and highly recommend "Drunken Zama" sake - for those who have not tried sake before, it is a great starter sake.

I've taken my Goddaughter to Zama for her birthday for each of the past 13 years, and also have gone for work-related celebrations. Always the best - assuming you like sushi, which we do - a lot! Wide menu selection, incredibly fresh fish, and wonderful desserts. Was comped 1 dessert with a candle as a little birthday treat, very nice and thoughtful touch. Hoping to spend the next 13 birthdays there too! Server Merci was especially nice and attentive. Highly recommend!

One thing that makes Zama special is its staff. It is very stable and very knowledgeable. Any first-time visitor is in great hands - explanations are clear, and recommendations are well worth considering.

As always Zama’s food is superb! Great ambience and atmosphere but the staff is really incredible. The manager down to the bartenders and servers are always super polite and attentive! Our go to spot for Sushi!

Always a top choice for a broad menu Japanese restaurant. We can order soup, small plates, all types of sushi and sashimi, as well as entrees. Nobody is counting, staff is friendly and accommodating and have been with the restaurant a long time.

Zama is overhyped and overpriced. The best thing it has going for it is its Rittenhouse Square location. The food was good, but by no means spectacular. I don't know why this place is such a foodie darling.

This is my favorite spot in Center City whether I am with a group or even dining alone. I usually get one of the specialty rolls of the day. My son when he is in town always gets the ZFC. It is a must get menu item. I have been dining here for years and it is consistently delicious, and always a wonderful experience! The staff members are stellar!

The food was very bad. I don’t know how this place had that many good reviews- pretty sue they are bots. The raw tuna came out with some bubbles. The crab was pink with regular mayo. The food was cold. You can go to so many other places for a much better experience. The food left us sick and disgusted. Wayyyy too much rice on the sushi. It was also really bad quality.

A busy night at Zama - everything was great as always, and this time we noted how well the wait staff works together - it is a great team at a wonderful place.

Dining at Zama was a great experience for my boyfriends 30th! The vibe was romantic and very modern, while also maintaining a sense of intimate vibes. The food was great 10/10 with the chicken dumplings fried to perfection and paired well with the honey mustard sauce on the side, the roasted half chicken with potatoes, asparagus, and carrots cooked exquisitely, and the NY strip steak cooked well done but still flavorful with mushrooms as a great additive. The cocktails were made wonderfully and the sake (the bottle) is a must have! Brian, our waiter, was attentive and friendly during this whole experience. The location is easy to miss on your right hand side while driving (perhaps maybe minimal additional lighting at the entrance would be best); however, street parking was easy to find and the restaurant was an amazing spot to try Japanese food for the first time.

We had a reservation for noon and they wouldn’t let us in to the restaurant until 11:57. In the winter. Ridiculous.
