Le Tavern est un établissement souterrain confortable servant des plats américains typiques d'un bar, élaborés à partir d'ingrédients de première fraîcheur. La salle à manger souterraine se trouve dans la taverne historique de Camac, un piano-bar et discothèque établi de longue date qui propose une cuisine exceptionnelle avant et après les représentations de théâtre et qui est fréquenté notamment par de nombreux professionnels de l'hôtellerie, bien après la fermeture nocturne de la plupart des établissements des environs. Le menu abordable du Tavern comprend des plats raffinés typiques d'un bar, que vous pourrez déguster de l'ouverture jusqu'à la fermeture de l'établissement. Le Tavern offre le cadre idéal pour un souper en début de soirée, tout comme pour un dernier verre en fin de soirée. Construit en 1937, il est l'une des plus anciennes salles de concert du pays et est naturellement devenu un lieu de rendez-vous agréable et convivial pour les mélomanes. Ses briques apparentes et son lambris en pin sombre rendent l'intérieur confortable, malgré son emplacement privilégié sur la pittoresque Camac Street.

We love intimate spaces! I’m so glad we came here for Valentine’s Day! It’s exactly what I was looking for. The food was amazing and Jeff are server made us feel welcomed and comfortable. We went up to the piano bar after dinner thinking we were just going to have one drink, but ended up staying because the pianist that night was lively and engaging. The music he was playing was kind of showtuney and fun. We will definitely be back :)

The new chef, Henry, made an excellent beef Wellington. It was a terrific surprise. Highly recommended. The meat and mushrooms were perfect.

The food here was mediocre at best. The deviled eggs had little flavor, the friend pickles tasted frozen and, most bizarrely of all, my pumpkin cream bucatini pasta had the consistency of paste and tasted as bad. I barely ate half of it. The staff is very friendly and the drinks were good, but my meal was not enjoyable.

Arrived on time for my reservation. very disappointed to find a sign on the door saying the restaurant was closed. Tried again on Tuesday, same situation. Understand that these things happen, but the Tavern should have turned off the ability to make a reservation through Open Table.

We had not eaten at Tavern for a few years. We went back last night and do not intend to ever stay away that long again. My wife had the tomato soup which was unbelievable and potatoes in garlic (I believe) which she loved and took the leftovers home. I had a hamburger with lettuce tomato, sauteed onions and the house sauce which was exquisite. Loved the hamburger. We sat and ate at the bar, talked to John the bartender and watched Golden Girls on the tv. Cannot wait to go back.

Had a great meal at The Tavern last night. My husband and I were in Philly for a play and decided to stay overnight. The Tavern was a 5 minute walk from our hotel. We both decided on the Tavern burger and homemade French fries. The burger was an 8 oz. sirloin burger served on a brioche roll. They were cooked exactly how we asked for and the fries were hot and crispy. Thank you for the delicious food and service. Will definitely stop in again when nearby.
