Don’t let the exterior discourage you. Inside the ambiance is warm, friendly and very “Pubish”. But the best part is the excellent beer selection, the friendly (but not clingy and overly familiar) service, and especially the food. The menu reflects a house made simplicity. No Sysco burger paddies, no canned sauces. We started by splitting spicy olives with our cocktails, then had the Rabbit Pie, and the Fish & Chips. All came to the table “burn your mouth” hot. For desert, don’t miss the Sticky Toffee pudding with the sour cream ice cream. Ethereal.

Lovely place with delicious food. We were there on Mother’s Day, so it was very busy and our server could have been a little more attentive, but I’m sure he was extremely busy. The restrooms also could have used some attention, as the trash was overflowing and I had to ask for more toilet paper. But overall, our experience was good and I would go back (on a less busy day!) in a heartbeat. One more note: there were no non-dairy based desserts. We had planned to order dessert, but I’m lactose intolerant, so in the end we didn’t. Everything had either ice cream, cream, sour cream, etc.

Such a fancy restaurant for meals at such a great price. Definitely worth going back to. The food was delicious, and the scenery was a great mood setting. I will say that it’s fairly chilly but that can be overlooked because of how well the service and entire experience was.

Went for the rabbit pie and was not disappointed - it was excellent. So was the pea soup. Overall food very nice and cute ambience. Service was a little slow and we saw our server infrequently. Had to flag her down for the check!

I love the ambience of this place--many nooks and crannies. I'd only been for tea before, and lunch on the second floor was a new, positive experience. Prices were reasonable and the menu had lovely spring offerings. Desserts to die for, though I didn't indulge.

The Dandelion is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is consistently good and the service level is high. The atmosphere, character, and food reminds us of the best pubs in London. Every time we have visitors this is where we take them.

Stephen Starr manages to create the atmosphere of a British pub with excellent cuisine. Their Waldorf and cabbages salads were outstanding. The Sunday roast is a great deal with Yorkshire Pudding, veggies, watercress salad and potatoes. The pint of shrimp was also good. We loved the fish and chips too. Excellent service is the hallmark of a Starr restaurant and it was carried to perfection.

2nd time stopping by for brunch. I love the value of the food and stylization of menu, atomposhere and great service. Will definitely come agian for future events and small friend gatherings!

Outstanding eggs Benedict and omelette with tomatoes and mushrooms. There are multiple dining areas that are all interesting and comfortable! Service was very good, staff is always attentive.

This place can get loud so come early if you have a lot of catching up to do. Thankfully our reservation was for 5:15. We did not feel pressured to leave and stayed until 9:30. The bangers and mash are always good. My friend liked the rabbit pie. The rarebit was a disappointment.

Dandelion is a quaint English pub with a great vibe. The key is to get seating upstairs. It’s a little quieter -love the bar on the second floor.

My family has a lot of food, allergies, and both the server and manager talk to a several times to make sure we were comfortable with our orders. The noise level makes it really difficult for us older folks to hear the conversation at the table. The food is really good, but I wish the gluten-free menu was more about substituting rather than eliminating. I remember when this restaurant first opened they made gluten-free fries. They were delicious. Unfortunately the restaurant doesn’t make them anymore.

The Dandelion was participating in the fundraiser Dine Out For Life last week, which was why we made our reservation. Thanks to them for donating to this worthy cause! As always, the food and drinks were great. Our waiter was attentive and helpful and an all-around nice person. We ate in the bar's dining area with a perfect English pub atmosphere.

Restaurant is overrated and won't visit again. Place is run down and dirty. Went to the "loo" and there was no toilet paper, no way to dry your hands and the bathroom fixtures were rusting. Not a pleasant sight for a high-end center city restaurant.

Delicious food, great atmosphere. Unfortunately our server made us feel rushed. Our 5:30 reservation obviously needed to be turned over. And 1 of the 2 cask beers was stale - surprisingly so for a place that touts their beers.

We went for tea and we had a wonderful time. The servers were friendly, the atmosphere was lovely, although a bit loud. I would definitely recommend the Dandelion to anyone interested in afternoon tea.

The service was slow and the food was ok. Overall a quiet and dark place especially in the bar area. Didn’t like that I had to wait 10 minutes for water!

I like a restaurant with specific theming and a goal to make you feel like you're somewhere else. The Dandelion uses multiple rooms and lots of decoration to recreate the feeling of a cozy British pub when you're just on regular busy 18th street. My husband and I went for the Sunday roast, which everyone seems to agree is the reason to go, and were really happy and satisfied. The service was nice, a little more hands off and not bothering you, but very easy to catch someone's eye when you needed something. We also had the housemade ricotta, which was creamy and tangy to spread on dark toasted bread (It could have used some flaky salt like the butter has, but that is a quibble) I really enjoyed it and would go back

Loved it! The atmosphere was quaint and relaxed. The food was outstanding! We particularly loved the charred cabbage Caesar, cheese board, crab croquettes, and deviled egg appetizers. The salmon was also delicious. The portions were a good size, and our entire party was happy.

Completely loved the ambiance. It was not very busy but the server had the entire upstairs alone so service was very slow. That did work for us because we had no other plans. But the wait in between ordering more drinks or main entree was long. We went midday so the menu was limited. The Shepard pie was delicious and we enjoyed the cheese board

Gorgeous location top notch service and food delicious. This is a packed noisy noisy place it isn’t for an Intimate date !! Worth the visit and fish and chips fantastic!

We had dinner at Dandelion on a Wednesday night, and it was very good. I am gluten- free and the server was very knowledgeable and gave me a gluten-free menu. I had the Tandoori chicken. My daughter had two appetizers as her main course. She is vegetarian. She had the cashew hummus and the pickled beetroot jar. She said both were good. We also had the cheese board which was also fine. My cousin had the lamb shepherd's pie. He is from Ireland and was surprised to be served it in a souffle dish, but he liked it. We also enjoyed our cocktails. The prices are what you would expect in Center City. The bill for the three of us with a total of four drinks was $155. We liked the decor with dark sort of Victorian furniture and lots of brass trim around the room. We were upstairs for our meal. There are lots of different rooms to dine in as well as sidewalk seating. We would go again!
