This is a favorite lunch spot for me. The service is attentive without being intrusive. They are always willing to make accommodations for special requests. The restaurant is quiet and i never feel rushed. I am already looking forward to another lunch at 1682 soon.

Waitstaff & Management were very friendly and accommodating. Cindy was our server and Tonya at reception made this a super warm & welcoming first visit. Not to mention the food and drinks were delicious. Be sure to get the grits! YUM!

Our party of seven enjoyed a fabulous evening. The craft cocktails and appetizers were delicious-LOVED the grilled octopus! The menu is varied enough to allow even the pickest eaters to find a great choice without feeling short-changed. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious! Our waiter was great; She really listened to what our large group needed. The whole evening was 5-star and I am looking forward to returning to try a few different menu items. I would recommend for a couple or a group like ours.

We were staying at the hotel so we had both a dinner and a brunch here. Hands down do brunch over dinner. I had the avocado toast and it was delicious. My husband’s omelette was also good. He enjoyed the friend onions that were mixed in with the breakfast potatoes. Side note:the hotel had a happy hour each night for guests- the treat this weekend was truffle popcorn. It was so good. We made an effort to be on site just to get more popcorn.

Our server was very kind and had fantastic recommendations for food! We came for our birthday and received a cute dessert with a candle and a free alcoholic beverage for staying at the hotel and being IHG members. Would recommend for a late night drink/ date!

Service was outstanding. I was able to get the smaller cheeseburger from the happy hour menu (instead of a very large one that they usually serve) and truffle fries. Both quite good. I have pretty high standards so it’s hard for me to five star almost anything I eat out. But this food was some of the best I’ve had in recent past. The margarita was excellent, and service — both the host and the waitress — was exceptional. Love it, and will return.

Reservation and special requests for a special brunch was splendid. Busy morning so service was a little slow and the venue is more bar like than restaurant. We were 9 and I asked for a special cake. It was wonderful and was enjoyed by all. Food portions were huge and enjoyed by all.

The All American breakfast was great each time that I had it. The scrambled eggs were perfect, as was everything. Cindy and Angela are fantastic and deserve a raise!

We had an excellent experience. The hostess Tanya was so welcoming and friendly, the waitress was attentive, and the food was great. They even surprised us with a dessert since it was our anniversary.

Have such a great breakfast! Cannot go wrong with the shrimp and grits, or pancakes and breakfast potatoes! Make sure you ask for a side of truffle aioli and ketchup for your potatoes:. Chefs kiss!! Picture taken from a boomerang so may not look as appealing as in person.

We traveled from the Jersey Shore to Philadelphia for restaurant week. It was advertised on on the Center City Restaurant Week website that the restaurant was participate in lunch for the week. When we asked for the menu for restaurant week we were informed that because it was Saturday we couldn't get that menu. We decided that after traveling for over an hour that we would just stay for the meal. The cocktails took close to minutes and my wife drink was wrong a coso was delivered and she ordered a lemon drop martini. The bar was also out of Stateside vodka. A Philly vodka? The staff was pleasant the food was ok. I would have been informed on the website the restaurant was not fully participating as advertised advertised.

Came in for restaurant week lunch (as advertised on Restaurant week website). We were told that they only participated for dinner. We decided to stay for brunch since we had already sat down. “Waygu” burger was burnt, both patties and bun. Mom ordered toast with her breakfast that came late and was told it would be on the house. They didn’t take it off the check. Take your business elsewhere.

Food was pretty good, they had just a very standard brunch menu. Drinks were very good, but took ~25 minutes to come out. We actually got the drinks after our food was out. But it could have just been that particular day the bar was backed up with orders.

This is my second visit to this location. We had a reservation and waited quite some time to be seated. Unfortunately, we were sitting near the entrance and it was very cold out and would’ve preferred one of the large tables in the back of the facility. We also waited quite some time for our drinks. Our server was excellent and he took very good care of us. We do like this restaurant and we go again.

Pretty Darn Good Breakfast For a Hotel Lobby Restaurant! I tend to stay away from hotel restaurants, but Square 1682 was a pleasant surprise! We were staying at Hotel Palomar and stopped into Square for drinks after a show at The Met. When it came time to have breakfast the next morning, we decided not to brave the 10-degrees wind chill and try Square for breakfast. We had the Philly Special (roast pork) take on Eggs Benedict, as we're both from the region. It was good! I also had a side of chicken sausage and grits, topped off with a Blood Mary. If you have to use a hotel restaurant for breakfast, you can do a lot worse than Square 1682!

The food was excellent.. our server was polite, courteous and professional. The Tuna was delicious.. and the spicy chicken was excellent.. and of course the Steak Sandwich was the star of the show!.. Look forward to next time at Square!

Khalif was amazing! From the front door to the table! He was able to suggestively sell items in the menu with a smile on his face! His energy was amazing! We noticed that he was thee ONLY sever that night but that did not change his attitude, it made him grind even harder! This man is a jewel for your restaurant and we hope to see him again! I know he will remember us “the brother and sister look alikes” LOL!

We arrived at 1:45 pm for reservations and was seated at 1:50pm. 15 minutes passed before a waiter arrived. Ordered a bottle of wine which took 10 minutes and the waiter placed on the table with the cork in bottle but never poured. Food order, omelette, was taken and arrived cold and overcooked. Never again will I go here.

We ordered a yogurt parfait which was initially charged on our check but never served. Was only taken off when we prompted the server. Service was slow even though it wasn't busy. Food served was cold and bagels were partially burnt. Food taste was ok. Better go to other places fir value of money. Manager did try and offer the yogurt parfait for free, but only after the check was cashed, and we had given written feedback on the bill. We didn't take up on the offer since we'd already left. Will not recommend and won't visit again.

The food & service were amazing. I think they are going for an industrial look but if I hadn’t pre-booked this, I would have assumed it wasn’t good by the look of it and walked out. It doesn’t represent the level of food they serve. With that said, it was totally worth it and I am glad we stayed. Each dish was better than the last. The servers were very fun and it felt like they enjoyed being at work. A manager checked on our table. It was very clean and there was a great wine selection. Highly recommend. Try the duck wings!

It’s a good little spot, after eating our way through Philadelphia, this was low on the list. The service was okay, the food was mid, there’s better options.
