We had a wonderful Mother’s Day dinner! The limited menu had plenty to choose from and the food was delicious. We tend to always get the lump crab dinner (so good we can’t get past it) and since that wasn’t on the special menu, we had Chilean Sea Bass. Excellent! We were a party of seven and Russ was fantastic. We’ll be back soon for our crab dinner…

Excellent meal that all of us enjoyed. The salmon and crab was delicious and the snapper soup was great once again. Great service and we were seated promptly on a very busy day.

The Mothers Day brunch is extremely popular, and it does not disappoint. There is an amazing selection of buffet items, from roast beef and ham carving stations, to made-to-order omelets, waffles, French toast, to trays of scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, Eggs Benedict, to several dinner items (tortellini, baked salmon, chicken), to cocktail shrimp and lox, along with an assortment of breads and desserts....Yikes! We washed our plates of goodies down with mimosas, and an after meal cappuccino, yum. The buffet is set up in what is normally the bar room, and there can be a logjam with diners lining up at the only doorway to enter the room and other diners trying to exit the bar room with their loaded plates. (it is also near an entrance to the kitchen, and you have busboys carrying loads of dishes in and out, adding to the confusion.) I'm not sure how this could be avoided, given the layout of this historical building, but it is something to be aware of. Our server was very attentive, despite the Mothers Day crowd there.

Food was okay. Service was great. He was super friendly and gave decent suggestions on the menu. The appetizer was over cooked and entire was okay. Not worth the money. I will not be returning.

Our server Emma was excellent. We had prime rib and crap cakes for our meal. Outstanding meal!

Stick to menu for crab cakes and prime rib. Steak special was very tough with lots of gristle. Hard to cut with steak knife and a chore to chew,I expected better for $40. Have eaten here many times. Disappointed

Lovely brunch sitting outside. Our waitress was very busy but was awesome as we were in no rush. The food was very good - would definitely go back!

This is a nice restaurant and the food is good. My complaint is not about the restaurant but the patrons and how they dress to go out for dinner. Diners across from us wore logo tshirts, sneakers, cargo shorts. Others had on dirty workboots, hoodies and dirty jeans. It’s hard to find a restaurant that patrons dress nicely. Very disappointing. I just expect at a minimum clean pants, collared shirts, blouse , etc.

Brie with fruit for our apps, both of us had crab for dinner. Mine was sauted in butter and husband had crab imperial. Both were excellent as was the Arnold Palmer martini!

Excellent meal last night. Loved the flounder stuffed with crabmeat. Others in my party had the lamb and the duck…everyone enjoyed. If you like mussels go for the appetizer. 4 of us shared. Delicious! Chris the server was attentive as well. Top notch!

This is one of our Friday “go to” places. Servers are great (Chris is always great) and front-end management is very responsive. My husband and I are a little challenged mobility wise and staff is always very accommodating. We have enjoyed many of the menu items and specials as well.

Christopher was an excellent member of the waitstaff who was friendly, knowledgeable and expertly attentive. From walking in the door til we bid goodbye the experience was wonderful. Drinks were well appointed, the food was delicious and served in a timely fashion. We will certainly return and Springhouse Tavern for another wonderful experience.

Arrived and was seated promptly. Ordered drinks, appetizer and dinner. The French onion soup, prime rib and lambchops were delicious. Our waitress, Annmarie, was exceptional! She was extremely attentive and had a great personality, making our dining experience top notch! Spring House Tavern is definitely a great place for dinner. Also kudos to the manager James as he stopped by to introduce himself and ensure all was good. He appears to enjoy his job and really showed he cares. Thank you for a wonderful anniversary dining experience!

We love Spring House. The food, drinks and service are consistently top notch. Last night was a step backwards. We were greeted at the table by our server with bread and butter and asking if we wanted more than water to drink. In general the drinks took a while and so did the soup. We waited quite a while for someone to take the empty soup bowls and ask if we wanted a water refill or another drink. The soup bowls were taken when the entrees were served. There was someone nearby who was setting the table next to us but she was only interested a table that was still empty when we left. We remain fans of the restaurant and will be back but clearly not a good moment.

We reunited with my eldest aunt after a five year gap, and our waitress Meghan B. made the whole dinner a most pleasant experience. There was no rush and she handled all our requests. We came for the crab and weren't disappointed. That was probably the best Crab Imperial I've had. And I've been around for a while! We'll definitely be back. And hope to see Meghan again.

We attended dinner here for Easter, as a way to bring our family together to enjoy some good food and a nice atmosphere. We loved the ambience of this place, and the staff was exceptional, but the food was absolutely sub-par. I have never eaten here before, but I was expecting more from this meal than we received. We all ordered the filet meal, which came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The portion size was okay, but there was no flavor on any parts of this dish. Also, the steak was very chewy, which I couldn't decide if it was overdone, or just a very fatty piece of meat. The temperature when it came out was luke warm, yet the mashed potatoes were piping hot. The amount of food we received was okay, but again the flavor and quality was sub-par. We would have liked to order dessert, but after a not so great dinner, we decided to pay the check and leave. Again, the service and staff were wonderful, and they helped make the mood of the restaurant feel great, but I probably will not eat here again with the awful quality of food with the high price tag.

We had a wonderful experience at the Spring House Tavern today for their Easter Buffet. Food was delicious & plentiful. Service was excellent. Will be visiting here again soon. Highly recommend!

Usually you need to be at least a little forgiving and understanding on holidays at restaurants, as holidays such as Easter and Mother’s Day are very busy. However, Spring House Tavern ran like a well oiled machine, the food and service were outstanding. Highly recommend!
