                                                                      Sadly our evening at Single Shot was a disappointment. We were celebrating two birthdays so it was an important evening for us. The food was good. However the communication between our waiter, the kitchen and those who delivered the food and drinks was disastrous. Incorrect items were delivered multiple times during cocktails and appetizers. When mains were delivered, 3 out of 4 arrived. 10 minutes later we learned that the 4th had been delivered to another table. Our 4th person finally got his main after the rest of us were halfway done with our meals. Our waiter was apologetic and attempted to make good by then bringing lots of extra food we didn’t need or want. Then he brought a complimentary round of drinks for 3 out of a party of 4. Who does that? Finally the bill was wrong and had to be corrected. If they get themselves organized and can deliver orders to the correct table, it might be a nice restaurant. Final critique: too noisy! Get some tapestries or something to absorb some of the sound.

                                                                      Everything was superb: service, food, ambience (especially in their outdoor seating area) and made for a great way to celebrate our 30th anniversary. A bit on the $$$$ side but justified by blowing expectations out of the water.

                                                                      They did not have any pancakes nor waffles due to their oven malfunctioning. Our kids and I were extremely disappointed. We made a reservation and drove more than an hour there so I wish we could have known that there were not serving any pancakes or waffles. I would have picked a different date. The smoked salmon lox was super delicious, and we loved their fresher squeezed juice. Their bathroom was cute and clean. There’s some stuff floating around in our water glasses, and my fiancé didn’t want to drink his water. I would order sparkling water.

                                                                      We love Single Shot. It's fantastic every time we go. My husband I have been going for special occasions or just a nice intimate date nights for almost a decade. The service is always wonderful and the food is always perfect. This little restaurant gets it right every single shot! All that being said, the prices here have gone through the roof over the years and now are at the level of a fine dining establishment - which it is definitely not. I'm sure it has everything to do with inflation. But this is probably one of the most expensive meals you'll find on Capitol Hill. So make sure to check the prices before you go to avoid sticker shock ruining the experience for you when the bill comes. So if you're flush with cash or someone else is footing the bill, run don't walk to Single Shot.

                                                                      My husband and I enjoyed this restaurant! The food was over the top, especially the pork chop, the service by Michael was outstanding and the atmosphere charming. I would highly recommend this place!

                                                                      This is a small intimate venue. The food was excellent! We split a salad. Then I had the pork chop which was delicious and immense. The tiramisu was large, but was only adequate. My date had the agnolotti which she liked. Then a chocolate dessert, which she said was good but not spectacular. Overall, the service was excellent primarily because the place is so small it allows the staff to focus on the customers.

                                                                      We’ll be back! Our first time there, and everything was delicious. Especially the pork chop and hamachi crudo. We were celebrating a birthday and staff presented us with a lovely board of tasty treats complete with candle. The place was hopping. Maybe Uber, as cocktails were good and parking hard to come by.
