Halibut was awesome, the Duck was fantastic, the Scallops were to die for and the risotto Scallop dish was tip top. Our server was prompt and courteous and made some great suggestions! Oh and a dozen Hood Canal raw oysters and truffle fries to start, so good. Go, it doesn’t disappoint! 10 out of 10!

We had a very poor experience. We were on time for our reservation for brunch and seated immediately. We waited 10 minutes before anyone came to our table - only to have the table seated beside us offered coffee while we had nothing. We finally got some water and our order taken only to wait 20 minutes still without the coffee we asked for. We finally were fed up and left with a complaint to the hostess who was not empathetic or responsive. As we left another table got up to leave citing similar complaints. Disappointed we didn’t even get to try the food but we will never visit or recommend this establishment.

Christina was the chef that left over a year ago, I believe. We haven’t been to Shaker+ for about 2 years. Christina was a great chef! Hope she lands somewhere we can dine at. As far as the current menu, we had Hamachi Agua Chile (good - recommend), Charred Octopus (very good - recommend), Alaskan Halibut (dry, bit tasteless, don’t recommend), King Cole Duck Breast (good - recommend), Whole Fried Branzino (OK - if you really like fish, recommend, otherwise pick something else). Overall, under Christina, the menu was to more of our liking, however, as mentioned above, there are menu items worth trying. Happy eating!

Coastal seafood is their specialty, and they do it well. Everything we ordered, from the local greens to the seafood boil to the truffle parmesan pomme frites were spectacular. The service was perfect, and the ambiance welcoming and intimate. We’ll be back on future Seattle trips!

The price of the brunch compared to what was offered did not make sense. Advertisement of the brunch was misleading. Food and plates were not being stocked as you would expect especially given the fact that this was supposed to be an expensive “nicer” brunch spot. Hygiene and overall cleanliness was lacking. We were extremely disappointed and chucked it as a loss of nearly $600 for mediocre French toast and scrambled eggs for a party of four. Wish we would have done anything else other than come here for a special day for Mothers Day.

The restaurant was absolutely beautiful. The parking situation is hard even with the $22 valet parking. The mothersday brunch was very ok. The lamb and Mac and cheese was delicious. Everything else seemed like a standard hotel breakfast. This brunch cost over $200 after a surcharge and gratuity they charged everyone. I was expecting to celebrate my wife for her very first mother's day and the food was very boring and disappointing. We traveled over an hour away and it just was not worth it.

Went for the Mother’s Day brunch and wished we went elsewhere when we tried the food. Our reservation was at 12:15, it was buffet style—food tasted like it was the first batch made for when the restaurant opened. the french toast and waffles were insanely dry, had trouble soaking up the syrup, the bacon could’ve been cooked a touch longer, and everything else was very mid. Ordered a single pour of XO cognac and it was by far the most I’ve spent at any restaurant in Seattle. The waiter said he’d bring the menu to me but never did. When it came time to pay the bill, it was insanely high due to the overpriced single pour, PLUS the waited took it upon himself to add 20% gratuity. The only mention of added gratuity was for parties of 5+. It was literally just my mom and me. When I asked him what the “Surcharge” was, he explained it’s for healthcare, wages, etc. When I asked why gratuity was automatically added and who exactly chose 20%, he stated that it was added to all brunch checks. Again, the OpenTable listing mentioned nothing about this, we weren’t ever given a menu of any kind that would’ve stated this, and none of the identifying food cards said this. He quickly said he’d get the manager and then brought the bill over with gratuity removed and no manager. For the first time in years, I truly felt compelled to leave no tip and did just that. His service was borderline poor, awkward aura, would rudely insert himself to pour water or take a plate… I’ve had way better experiences and mind you, this wasn’t even to try their core food offerings that they’re known for. Horrible all around, would not return.

It was a case of here is your food, now go! The hamachi crudo was tasteless. One cannot believe that it came out of the same kitchen as the octopus, duck and scallops. The latter 3 was tasty and flavourful. The atmosphere was rushed. We were there for under an hour. We felt rushed. Will not recommend.
