ZEST is the second venture for the owners of Grille 3501, an upscale casual restaurant which has sustained continued growth and success for over 20 years. Located on the 6th floor of the Gateway Building on the South Side of Bethlehem, ZEST has had the honor of being awarded the Lehigh Valley's favorite rooftop of 2021, favorite atmosphere of 2020, and favorite new restaurant of 2019. Chef Justin Cogan brings New American cuisine to life with signature dishes including braised beef short ribs and crab & mango spring rolls. The views whether you choose to sit indoors or outdoors are unparalleled. The 130 seat balcony lets you take in the sights of the southside like the steel stacks, Fahy and Hill to Hill bridges, and Bethlehem city hall in the distance. ZEST also features a partially open kitchen design, large 20 seat bar, and an indoor space with panoramic accordion sliding windows that let you experience the best of both worlds.

Overall, great Mother's Day late lunch, early dinner. Service was fantastic and the food was outstanding. My wife had the salmon, I had the filet and my kids the chicken, so we tried a little bit of everything, plus dessert and all of it was fantastic. We will definitely go back as just a date for my wife and I. Would be nice to have a little bread or something while waiting for the meal.

I realize I would visit more frequently if the menu was more diverse and the portions were more sizable for the price. Last night had the octopus app and struggled to separate the octopus from the garnish. Instead of being served whole, one tentacle was sliced lengthwise. So less than half the portion of Orchid or Yannis. Always good service and ambiance.

Very nice place, very cool vibes, excellent food. Server was very pleasant, very knowledgeable, very friendly, and very helpful.. but a little slow just because I’m sure he was very busy.

This was our first time at Zest and I am sorry that we waited so long to go! The food, drinks and service were absolutely fantastic. The view across Bethlehem was incredible as well.

After a four hour drive from LI to Bethlehem, we were delighted to eat such a delicious meal. The salad was amazing, the steak was perfect and the short ribs OUTSTANDING! Dessert with chocolate lava cake and banana peanut cake were over the top! Thanks to our hard working, sweet and lovely server, Kayla. She loves her job and dedicated to her company and it shows!

May have scored a little better, but the noise level was intense. Food is good and presented in a unique style for some dishes. Not a place for older citizens. Parking garage is connected so great access.

The restaurant is located on the top floor of the building, with indoor and outdoor dining areas that offer amazing views of Bethlehem. The service was friendly and cheerful. We came for the Sunday brunch and decided on the roasted bone marrow and grilled octopus for appetizers. We had their in-house-made bloody marys, which were refreshing and had just the right amount of spice. We had the dry-aged ribeye with scrambled eggs, pepper, and roasted potatoes for our main entree. Everything was fantastic. We can't wait to return.

Went there to celebrate my birthday. Unfortunately, the smoke alarms went off during our appetizers, and it was extremely loud and everyone had to evacuate. That put a damper on the overall experience. I will say however, that the drinks, the service, and the food were outstanding, it’s just unfortunate that the fire alarms went off, which were no fault of the restaurant.

We just wanted appetizer and desserts which we all shared Delicious peanut butter banana cake served with creamy ice cream Chocolate lava cake with ice cream and vanilla crème brûlée Drinks were delicious too! Service was fantastic and the views are stunning! Great place to share a celebration!

We were here for a late night birthday dinner. We were seated right away and had our drink order taken. The wine and beer on tap were good, but it took a while for our server to return for food orders. We only ordered entrees, but were able to request a few customizations due to dietary restrictions. The filet mignon and butcher's cut steaks were cooked to temperature perfectly though perhaps slightly over-seasoned, as the crusts were pretty salty. The duck duo was good and the flavors of the dish tasted balanced. Portion sizes for the meals were adequate and everyone was satisfied, with no leftovers to take home. For dessert we had a the citrus cheesecake and salted caramel trifle, both which were good, though the portion of cheesecake was on the small side. The birthday boy received a complimentary scoop of vanilla ice cream with whipped cream and a candle, which was a nice way to help us celebrate the occasion. Also, if you park in the New St garage, bring your ticket and the maître de will scan it for 2 hours of free parking, though any time over that you will still need to pay.

The only thing I would suggest is paying attention to what a person is there for. I had originally wrote down it was for an anniversary but, no acknowledgment or nice gesture on the dessert we ordered.

The couple we brought along to dinner with us takes a little bit of time to make a choice on the menu. Our waitress was understanding cordial and very, very knowledgeable with the menu. We all had a very enjoyable evening catching up, enjoying drinks and great food can ask for anything more than that.

My husband and I are vegan and we got the bowl w seitan. It was delish! Plus the chickpea appetizer was very good. We had a great table and the server was well trained.

Another great evening overlooking the Bethlehem skyline coupled with excellent service by John, and a unique menu with items not typically found at restaurants. The white turnip soup was delicious as was the pork chop. Portion size is sharable on appetizers. drinks were properly mixed. Looking forward to deck dining when weather breaks.

After mistakenly showing up FORTY minutes late to our reservation, we were still sat within 5 minutes of walking in the door!! Food was outstanding. Our server Hannah was fantastic as well! Attentive and knowledgeable. Great date night location!!!

Second visit here & we loved it, again! We ordered cocktails and small plates, and everything was great. The lamb empanadas are a standout, as well as the duck confit fried rice on the sides menu. The service was excellent. We had booked prior to a show at Zoellner Arts Center. The service was timely and delivered in a very relaxing fashion. We will definitely return! Thanks!

Excellent food (shishito peppers and chick pea apps, salmon and Cod entrees)! Wonderful service- I dropped a tiny gold earring backing and the staff searched till someone found it! Lovely view. Will be back!

The food was really good. Getting reservations is now easier and adjusting my reservations are easier. The entrance is a little hard to find still.

My girlfriend and I went here for our anniversary and the ambiance was great. But the service was okay at best. Our server just didn’t seem to check in on us enough, spent over 3 hours there in total. For the most part our food was fantastic. Only complaint I have is that the scallops I got on the side were overcooked and way over salted and my medium rare filet was more a medium well filet. The tastes of dessert and drinks were amazing

Would be nice if they could add more vegetarian/vegan options. The black quinoa was not good at all .
