I went here with my wife for an anniversary dinner, expecting a bit more than what they had here. For starters, the place doesn't seem like they put much effort into the appearance. The decorations are spray-painted on the walls, the lightbulbs over the table are greasy and uncleaned, and the bathroom is a little grimy and gross. Next, the food was okay, but not something particularly memorable. It seemed a little under-seasoned -- but maybe that's designed for suburban tastes. I had a goat tajine, and I liked the apricot, fig and plum that came with it, but the seasoning was a little weak. I was also expecting couscous or rice, to help take up the juices, but it was served as-is, in a blisteringly hot iron pan (which was fine), and because it was so hot, everything fairly quickly boiled off. They also served plain Kirkland brand bottled water, which was fine, but it made me think 1) as this was basically tapwater, was there something wrong with their tapwater, and 2) why didn't they offer a higher-end bottled water as an option, as that would make them some money. There was some kind of bread offered with the food, but it was extremely dry and tasteless. Finally, service was minimal. It took more than an hour for the food to come out, on a Sunday evening where the dining room was barely half-full, during which time the waiter didn't stop by once. Overall, it is probably the best Moroccan restaurant in Bryn Mawr, but I don't think I'll be coming back.

We had a reservation through open table. When we arrived, the staff ignored us and did not even take our name. When we said we had a reservation they brushed us off with no indication of how long it would be until we got a table. They treated everyone in line in the same manner. We stood around being ignored for 20 minutes and then went elsewhere.

Absolutely delicious food and friendly staff. Small place with very inviting decor. Save room for the baklava which is heavenly!

Dining room floor was slippery with grease and caked food, which was also smeared all over our main server's clothes. Service was abysmal despite having many hands on deck. Long waits, forgotten orders, cold pita. The food itself was pretty good but we'd never go back based on the service alone.

Take my review with a grain of salt. We didn’t actually eat here. It was Mother’s Day and we made a reservation for 4 people. There were 24 other people waiting outside (including us). The management must have been completely overwhelmed and reluctant to ask people to leave. I get it, it’s Mother’s Day and people are hanging out a little longer. We waited outside for 25 minutes and no one came outside to let anyone know what to expect. I even called the restaurant from outside to see if they could give any indication as to how long we might have to wait. The answer I received was, “we’re just waiting on people to leave, it’s out of my hands, I can’t do anything about it” So, the food looked amazing and we might go back, but who knows?

I visited this restaurant on Mother's Day and unfortunately, it was a VERY disappointing experience. The restaurant seemed unprepared for the busy day, with only two overwhelmed waitstaff trying to manage a full house across two floors. Our reservation for five was initially seated at a table set for four and everyone seemed like on the same boat as us. The atmosphere was chaotic, with people coming and going while tables were being hastily set up. The mismatched chairs at the tables would give you the idea that they are setting tables up as people are coming in. The most significant issue was the kitchen's inability to handle the volume of orders. Our food arrived an hour after we were seated, and we were fortunate not to have ordered appetizers as those who did were left waiting even longer, and some didn't even receive their main courses. The quality of the food suffered as well; my lamb chop was terribly overcooked to the point of being inedible. Speaking with one of the waitstaff, it became apparent that they were under immense pressure due to the language barrier with the owner, who continued to take reservations despite the chaos unfolding. Overall, this experience was disappointing and marred what should have been a special occasion. I wouldn't consider returning, especially during busy periods, until these operational issues are addressed. The restaurant needs to improve its staffing, kitchen efficiency, and overall organization to provide a better dining experience for its customers.
