White Dog is always good. Creative menu. My meal was a bit salty (home fried potatoes especially). Otherwise, consistent and a nice place.

We have been to white dog cafe in wayne many times when our son went to villanova. It was delicious. The menus varies between location. We thought this would be as good as Wayne. It is not. They are not handicap assessible. I use a walker and thank goodness I could walk up the stairs with the handrails. Can't use bathroom since it is a long flight down stairs. Even when getting to table, the area is so tight between tables, people had to get top and move chair. I told them when we made reservation I had a walker. A good restaurant would have prepared or called. They were out of bread at 2 pm. What? You are a restaurant. How do you not know what you need? The whipped ricotta was ok. The mushroom omelet was rubbery. Barely any cheese. Not good.The salmon special omelet also rubbery and had too much mayo/wasabi suite on top. If a restaurant cannot make omelets correctly, then you should not offer or cooks need to go to restaurant school. The pork eggs Benedict was served with large chunks of pork on side. Isn't the meat supposed to be on the bread so you can taste everything in one bite? He waiter was terrible. Did not remember coffee or telling us drink specials. Gave us check before asking about dessert and did not tell us ice cream or sorbet flavors. Do not recommend.

Excellent food in a unique and entertaining setting. The service was very good. And again, the food was excellent. Looking forward to returning to try some other menu items. Highly recommend giving the White Dog Cafe a try!

Most of the brunch items were good (eggs Benedict with pork belly, avocado BLT) but the "Thai" Salad was terrible. An ice cold, overly sweet mess that really was not worth the price. Service is friendly and efficient, the various dog themed parlor rooms comfortable.

Creative menu in an lovely environment of old townhomes. Staff able to smoothly accommodate off menu requests as well as tweaks to the delicious and unusual offerings. The walls are covered with folk art of dogs. The paintings are cute but not insufferable, even if you're not a canine lover. Service was attentive without being suffocating.

What has happened to white dog? the food was really not good. Very disappointing at that price point particularly. The quinoa was inedible, our daughter didn’t touch it after a bite. We were put in the back room and the music was inappropriately loud and not relaxing for brunch. For dinner I would understand- but brunch? I did ask to be moved but instead they offered to turn down the music- it was still too loud. Not a pleasant experience. The waitress also had a not great attitude. Really expected better.

The food is consistently good here and we so enjoy the overall atmosphere. The tuna poke style dinner was excellent! Our server was also just delightful. I highly recommend White Dog Cafe.

In a word, disappointing. We have been there 3 or 4 times but more than 4 years ago. Food? We wished to eat light — soup, salad and small bread with cocktails. Soup was just ok. Salads were untrimmed arugula and beets, no dressing in one case, the other the lyonnaise. What should I conclude? We were in the wrong restaurant for our diets? We liked our cocktails. Asked for a quiet room. This was ignored. Walking around, it Seemed we could have been better seated in other rooms. Two of three restrooms were unusable on a Saturday night. Too busy? Again, in the past we would have rated, and probably did, White Dog 5 stars. Not this time. Since the pandemic almost all restaurants have diminished in value. It isn’t just price, it is in service and quality.

Food was flavorful. The lamb shank supper flavorful & the polenta was more like cheese grits. The mushroom soup was excellent. My husband had the deviled eggs he loved them, he also had the catfish that he devoured every bite. The waitstaff was superb. The decor was super fun.

I generally like the White Dog, this location in particular seems to have a problem with salt. Every savory item is overly salty. I thought this may have changed since I last ate at this location, but alas it has not. Hard to appreciate the flavors of the entree and appetizer when salt 8s the predominant flavor. I appreciate the options for non meat eaters. Thoroughly enjoyed the seasonal desserts! The strawberry shortcake torte is exquisitely delicious! When paying with a debit card, unlike other local establishments, this establishment continues to charge the credit card processing fee, despite saying it will not, which is annoying.

Loved the doggie decor. So creative and well done. Having dining in small rooms was comfortable and cut down on noise My husband loved the meatloaf. I was disappointed that the bucatini was very spicy but it was replaced easily by an attentive server.

Always a treat to dine at the White Dog! The "dog" decor is cheery, whimsical and very comfortable. Makes it seem like home. The menu is varied and current, filled with local flair. I can't wait to go back!

Arrived on time. Server arrived at table just after we were seated and took our drink orders. Came back in 10 minutes to take food order and said bar was backed-up. At 25 minutes food arrived, but no drinks. Drinks finally made it to table. Food was tasty. Service overall was attentive. Bar service at peak dinner hour needs improvement.

Disappointing experience where the food was rushed (we had asked to not get entrees before appetizers were finished) and food was not prepared per request. Service and food are usually better but this was not.

Our last meal at any White Dog venue. Friday night, table for four. Well prepared (mostly) but overpriced, underportioned main courses. Friendly server but food runners table dishes in a frenzed, chaotic manner, and room captain (not sure what to call the guy) was plainly rude. The topper was seriously overpriced, wholly ordinary cocktails (over $100 for four cocktails with tip and tax) and the credit card fee surcharge. When you charge people the price of two "handles" for four cocktails, you'd think there was sufficient margin to cover processing fees. There are dozens of Philadelphia restaurants with better cuisine, better service, and less greedy operators.

I really enjoyed the verlasso (sp?) salmon. Hannah was our server, and she was terrific. White Dig has a charming, eclectic decor that is welcoming. I highly recommend!

The food was delicious and presented very well. Service was attentive. During lunch, the room we were in was very loud. But the prices have skyrocketed, seemingly more than most restaurants. It no longer falls within a lunch budget. What a shame.
