The quality and taste of the food is outstanding here. Best restaurant in Swarthmore for sure, but also beats most restaurants in Media. This food experience is creative with layers of incredible flavor.

While it is nice to have entertainment in a restaurant, it works in a large space with sufficient distance between the performer and those dining. Unfortunately, that is not the case at Village Vine. While the singer had a lovely voice it was impossible to dine and talk with those at your table. Fortunately, we were able to dine outdoors and enjoy the food and conversation. I would suggest if performances will continue that they be so low as to allow guests to talk.

The was our second visit. The waitress recommended the ShortRib Gnocchi. I said I had been craving beef so it sounded great. A Large plate of Gnocchi arrived with exactly one piece beef, approximately 1/2 inch square. It was very disappointing, I mentioned this to the waitress and the host when she stopped by to ask how things were. No response - so $35 for a disappointing meal. My partner had the Red Snapper, which included two large deep fried pieces of snapper, which were dry and a little salty. It's a wine bar....the wine was fine - nothing particularly special. I don't think we'll go back.

Love this place very much. Stephanie took incredible care of us, and manager Nikki gracious as ever. Lovely bistro in a lovely town. Worth the trip from the city or the suburbs or from down the block! Can’t wait to go back.

The food is excellent but the service was lacking. We waited a half hour to be served a drink. The bar was recently relocated and tables are now awkwardly positioned so it was difficult for the server to communicate with us. I think there are some kinks that need to be worked out so that the atmosphere and service are on par with the food. The food was great but dinner for two was $170 with tip and for that price point, I expect more.

Great Mother’s Day brunch. We sat outside in 55° weather but heaters worked so well we took coats off and were pretty comfortable. They also had lots of blankets available if needed. Love the staff and casual ambience, good food and fast service specially for a busy day. Thought prices were super reasonable. We will be back for sure.

We’ve been to village vine a few times but now under new ownership it’s fantastic. The duck was cooked perfectly and the side dish was subtle and savory. Places in top duck entree ever had. The crab cake dinner came out piping hot. The crab cakes were great but even better were the potato hash and sweet corn purée that adorned the dish. Great evening and will definitely be revisiting sometime soon.
