Tuna Bar is a Japanese Raw Bar and Grill concept created by Owner and Chef Kenneth Sze. Located in Old City Philadelphia, Tuna Bar boasts a relaxing, upscale atmosphere serving fresh and locally sourced ingredients. The diverse menu offers traditional and specialty sushi rolls, raw oysters, scallops, hand-selected fish, and shareable entrees. Tuna Bar offers a fully stocked bar of wine, sake, and spirits. There are no outside food and beverages allowed. There is a $40 dessert/cake fee for guests that wish to bring in a dessert/cake for their special occasion.

Perfect all around. The happy hour menu is small, but tasty. The rest of the menu is delicious and creative. Quality of food and beverage is 10/10. Quality of service was 12/10.

Kind of overrated in my opinion. We got 2 house rolls, 1 specialty roll and 1 regular roll and I was still hungry after. Sushi was delicious, but not for over $150. Dessert took a long time to come out and was a little bit loud for my liking.

Always love coming here. The wagyu fried rice special was to die for! It was my third time here and it always gets better and better somehow. My favorites are the yakisoba noodles, the broad street roll (and i don’t usually like salmon but it’s so delicious!!), and the toro. The staff is always pleasant and quick with service.

We had a 7:30 reservation on a Friday night, but had to wait 20 minutes for the couple before us to leave our table. For our wait, the restaurant comped all drinks. Food was great, drinks were delicious and we had a great experience and enjoyed the gesture from the service team.

Tuna bar never disappoints. The sushi is so fresh always! I recommend the wyagu spring rolls, gyoza, tuna pizza, oysters, hurts roll, and the fishtown roll!

Fabulous food. Everything literally was splendid. I am not a sushi as go to diner, but the spicy tuna roll may have changed that. Great wagyu egg roll and rock shrimp apps. Also outstanding atmosphere and great bartending from Jake.

This was the best service we’ve had in a long time. The hostesses, food runner, busser, and our server all had such a pleasant attitude. It really makes a difference in your dining experience. The food was incredible. We tried so much off the menu and it was all so good. We cannot wait to come back to the tuna bar.

10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DINING HERE. I was beyond excited to try out Tuna Bar and had I known I would have the experience I did last night, it would have been taken off my “To Try” list immediately. To be clear, my server is the only reason why I am giving this place two stars instead of the one singular star it deserves. I got raw oysters as a first course and when they got to the table, they were warm.. not room temp, WARM. Which is not what anyone expected at a seafood bar. Talk about setting the vibe for the rest of the night. Do not even bother selecting a special occasion when placing your reservation on open table because they WILL NOT CARE. I am extremely upset that I told them I wanted a dessert for a birthday celebration and I had to tell them more than once. Management is extremely UNPROFESSIONAL in every way possible. I was profiled for the clothing I was wearing, which was suitable for a dinner celebration. I feel UNETHICALLY violated knowing the personal information used to make a reservation was also illegally used to research me. I left a negative review upon leaving yesterday and then deleted the review this morning because I felt my safety was comprised seeing as I was contacted by a friend and instructed to remove the initial review. After thinking about how many other people’s privacy was violated and how many negative reviews were forced to be taken down, I decided to post the review again. This information should be more than enough to deter people from coming here.

Our family had a blast celebrating a birthday! It was lively inside but not too noisey - we luckily didnt have to yell over each other. The food was so great - we had the Tuna Tartare, shishito peppers, edamame and brussel sprouts as appetizers. Then we had the Broad Street rolls, Rockefeller Rolls and the crab fried rice. We also had the sweet potato roll that was fried, but unfortunately tasted really dry. Would skip on the sweet potato roll. We loved the Rockefeller roll so much that we HAD to order a second one. It is rich and savory and so delicious, also huge for a $25 roll. We found the $$ worth it. We also enjoyed our cocktails - the lychee martini and the mocktail version are great! We will definitely be back. A Parking in Old City can be tricky but we were able to snag a spot on the street (free after 6:30pm). Also a great place to grab a seat at the bar for drinks and sushi. Super cool spot for date night, birthdays and girls night out group dinners!

My wife and I visited to celebrate her birthday. It was the perfect choice-- excellent food and atmosphere. Really enjoyed the raw bar-- oysters were fantastic! And the chef's sashimi tasting menu was excellent as well. Left very satisfied and would definitely come again!

All the food was very good. Only thing that was bad was the wonton soup. Tasted like celery water. So flavorless. But we got like 8 other dishes that over shadowed that. The tuna tatare was my fav and the Fishtown roll was spicy and yummy. The Broad St roll was really good and different. The prices were really good too! I will be back.
