The Morris is a new restaurant and bar in a truly unique location. It’s connected to a boutique, 17 room colonial hotel and courtyard located right next to Washington Square Park. We have a scratch kitchen that only uses the freshest ingredients available by season. Our bar program consists of delicious hand-crafted cocktails, organic wines, selection of local beers, and spirit-free beverages. Whether it's for a casual night out, business dinner, or date night, we are so excited to serve you in our newly renovate dining room or in the garden courtyard!

We had a truly outstanding experience at this beautiful restaurant. We were seated in the garden, the food was superb, extensive wine list and the service was excellently provided by Jon B. Everything was perfect and we look forward to dining here again.

We really enjoy it here because we can eat outside I am a grazer eating a shrimp cocktail and a salad My husband often is satisfied with the same Brunch now on Saturday s and Sundays is a delight Some of the entrees were switched as well as a discontinued salad We still enjoyed our meal Looking forward to returning soon,actually in 2 days

Had a birthday/mother's day celebration here. The outdoor seating was beautiful. The staff was warm and friendly. The shrimp app was tasty. The Morris House steak was very good, and excellent steak fries. I had a stuffed chicken dish that was unique and delicious. Highly recommend for special occasions.

My party wanted to celebrate a simple Mother’s Day brunch and it was amazing. Our waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. She helped us decide on drinks as well as our entrees (I’m so sorry I can’t think of her name). Our food was delicious. From the shrimp and grits and the perfect cooked steak to the French toast that the children had. I would definitely recommend to others and come back. Thank you

Very simple brunch menu consisting of mainly english muffin dishes (e.g., Florentine and Benedict). Side salad was an uninspired clump of baby spinach. Nobody came to check on us after our food was brought out --- I had to wave down a waiter to ask about the missing order of beignets after about 20 minutes and he took a while to come back despite it not being a full house. It is not a terrible place but also not someplace spectacular despite a what could be a fantastic courtyard set-up.

Hello, we are disheartened to hear about the experience you had. Mother's Day and holidays in general are an incredibly busy time for restaurants, and although we had a number of large parties whose orders came in around the same times as yours, we should have been attentive and make sure your table got everything you needed at the time that your food was brought to the table. We truly value making each guest feel taken care of and provide everybody with a personal experience. Service and food were superb! After our meal as we were headed out, Chris, the GM, took time to walk us next door and show us the historic hotel public spaces. A jewel of a property!

Pretty nice experience. We liked everything but the deviled egg app and, honestly, the house cabernet was brutal. Everything else was solid. Service was good, not great, but good enough. Room was a bit loud, but had good energy. Relaxed vibe. Decor leans hard into the colonial aspects of Olde City. Kind of reminded me of my parents’ kitchen in the late 70s, so I liked it. Four people with cocktails, apps, salads, entrees, and a dessert was about $400, so prices were decent. If you’re ordering steak, I’d opt for the strip. The house steak was good, but the 14 oz NY strip at $57 was very good, as was the stuffed chicken. Overall, Would recommend.

The outdoor tent is magical! And dog friendly! We've eaten here several times, dinner and brunch, and the food has always been excellent. It's also a great spot for an after or before dinner drink, the bar inside is beautiful.

A lovely Friday evening with friends was made all the more special thanks to the Morris. Our server was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the menu, wine and cocktails. I have already recommended it and will be back again!

Overall a really good experience. Service was excellent. Neighborhood a little sketchy after dark. Super hot the day we went. Ice in our water glass would have been nice. $23 for a burger not inexpensive.

We liked the Morris but found it was much louder than expected for a garden seating. The space was very pretty, but noise and heavy bass music was uncomfortable at brunch.

We found The Morris while looking for a quick bite before the Walnut Street Theater, and I look forward to going back again! From the quaint bar when you walk in, to the hidden gem of the outside patio, it’s a sense of calm in the chaos of the city. Our server was wonderful, the food delicious and great portions (enough to split apps and entrees). Loved speaking with Chris - those old book covers as menus and the specials card were a huge hit with we teachers and book nerds! Can’t wait to go back and bring new friends for a terrific experience!

Food is always wonderful. Everything tastes so fresh. Love the history inside and the beautiful patio that’s heated on the outside. Staff is warm and welcoming. We love this place!

Food was amazing! Service was amazing! Totally accommodated us in an odd situation. Such personal service. Loved sitting out in the courtyard (under a sealed tent with heat pushed in) so it was warm even on a chilly evening. Lovely!!! 😍👍

Beautiful surroundings. Dine either inside or in clear, heated garden room. Every course was special. Root vegetable Caesar, beet tartar with wonderful sauces. Pork chop cooked perfectly. I like my salmon medium rare. It was served as requested. Perfect. We had Creme Brulee, but there were other desserts. Full wine, beer and drink list. I loved it there and will return as often as possible.

While spending an overnight at The Morris House, we decided to have dinner at the Morris. So glad we did. Everything was right on. From the very friendly and knowledgeable service to the amazing food to the ambience of the heated patio. For appetizers, we had the special pea soup with crab topper and the smoky mushroom soup. Both were delicious! The chef was very accommodating for my dairy sensitivity and actually altered their recipe for the mushroom pot pie for me which was amazing - a lovely puff pastry atop a wonderful assortment of creamy mushrooms and vegetables. The pork chop was also very good. Everything was fresh and presented beautifully in the lovely garden setting. I can only imagine how much prettier it will be when everything is in full bloom.

Brunch was absolutely amazing. We had the beignets, the bennies, the frittata, and the royale. All absolutely amazing. The mimosas are the icing on the cake. Wonderful service. The outside seating was sunny and gorgeous. 10/10 would go again. Best brunch in the city.

Charming setting at the historic Morris Hotel. Service was pleasant and attentive. The scallop crudo and deviled eggs were wonderful light bites. The herb stuffing for the eggs was velvety. The rabbit pot pie was a highlight. The signature steak filet was cooked well but underseasoned. Definitely a nice spot for a quiet dinner.

What a fabulous evening. From the greeter who seated us to a variety of servers who were clearly supportive of each other to the generous presence of the chef, we were blown away. We sat on the patio- perfectly warmed. The noise level was more sedate than inside. The food was consistently excellent- of note I particularly enjoyed the asparagus salad and my partner loved the rabbit pot pie. Dessert equally held up. The vibe here is just so warm and friendly. Can’t wait to come back!

The Morris is lovely! We ate outside in the lovely heated and covered courtyard. It was beautiful and bright. Easy to see not dark or clubby. The inside was very cute and the bar area looked like a fun small area to have drinks and happy hour. There are only a handful of tables inside and although nice the outside was quieter and more spacious. Side note I do wish all restaurants had hooks like at the bar to hang your bag at the table though. The service was really sweet but you can tell they’re getting their footing still. Drinks were good but took a while to receive. The same with the appetizers, which were all delicious! The deviled eggs were unique and had tarragon. So definitely on the fancy side. The polenta was amazing! My 14 year old would have eaten the entire thing happily. The Caesar salad was also quite good. Two of the guests had burgers, which were good but the fries were ridiculously good! I would go back just for the fries. One of us had the salmon and it looked delicious and I had the scallops. Also very good. It’d also make a fantastic appetizer as it’s very rich and quite a nice portion. We didn’t have dessert but they all sounded delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant! The staff was extremely friendly and it was a lovely place. We will return.

We enjoyed the large wedge salad, and the salmon, shell food and steak entrees. On a Friday evening the place was populated but we could easily hear each other converse. Nice ambience. Server was a little bit too intrusive for our taste. Will certainly return.

I just have to say one amazing dining experience. I had last night at the Morris. The service was impeccable, the food was delectable and overall it was probably one of the best nights I’ve ever had. I Cannot forget the yummy drinks.! if you’re looking for a good value with wonderful service and great food search no more we will definitely be back
