Aimee Olexy and Stephen Starr's The Love is a bi-level sanctuary features 150 seats, split between the main dining room, sidewalk seating, and an upper-level loft. The restaurant is a spirited and carefree neighborhood café celebrating everyday American cuisine.     Lovely spot for a business dinner. We sat upstairs which was a little quieter, so we could enjoy our company. The food is delicious and creative, certainly generous. For our taste, the wine selection was a little boring….but we still enjoyed the entire experience. Our server was great, never learned his name. The backwater/food runner would appear and mumble something as she dropped our dishes, which was odd, probably not necessary to “announce” the food. We chose The Love based on other reviews, the menu and a personal recommendation

    We booked few weeks in advance for my son graduation celebration lunch after seeing restaurant’s good ratings. We arrived 1 o’clock (15 min early) however as it was busy on 1st floor they kept us waited until 1:20. And then we were offered a table on upstairs. 2nd floor was quite and actually many tables were available. I am not sure why we kept waited 20 minutes. Our waiter was very kind and nice; however as he was the only one on 2nd floor it took 20 minutes to get our order. So it was about 1:45pm. When I expressed my disappointment to restaurant manager, he offered our starters free; Which was kind offer. And service became expedite. The restaurant managers and our waiter put a lot of effort for us to leave as happy customers. But I wish we had a table on first floor and better welcoming and service before complaining.

    I really enjoyed my lunch at The Love. The food was tasty as was the drink. My server made great recommendations and was appropriately attentive. The Love is on the pricier end of restaurants but prices are on par for the Rittenhouse area.

    I went as a single person and sat at a table and they made the experience unforgettable. I didn’t feel awkward sitting alone at all. The food was top-notch and the dessert even better.

    Lovely Mother’s Day dinner! It was crowded, entrees took some time to come out but we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.

    Was happy they offered reservation service. We were seated immediately. Noise level is high. Food was nicely presented and delicious. Food servicer could have been more attentive.

    Amazing experience as always! Front-of-house staff was friendly, proactive, and deeply knowledgable about the menu (especially the food runners, which is not typical for all restaurants so was a great surprise here!). I always get something from their seasonal menu here, and their Mac & Cheese with Ramps was great (I will say that their ramps dish from last year was even better).
