The Buck Hotel is a converted restaurant that is extremely versatile in the options it offers patrons. Here, there are three distinct dining areas guests can choose from. The first is a spacious deck that is ideal for when the weather is nice. The second is the tavern, which fits the ideal sports bar atmosphere. This is where guests should go if they want to grab a quick bite, drink a cold beer and listen to a live band. The main dining area at The Buck Hotel is known as The Fireside, and is the main dining area that significantly more elegant and is best for a intimate date night.

I got the Cajun seafood boil. It was supposed to have corn on the cob in it with shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams, sausage and crab legs. The mussels did not taste fresh surprisingly as there is a seafood market on site. Instead of corn the cob, they threw frozen corn kernels in the broth. They left the feet on the scallops. Just very underwhelming. My husband had the prime rib special. The cut and temp were good, but it was not seasoned at all. For the price, I expect better.

We have been going to The Buck for about 40 years for dinners and lunches. We even had our office Christmas party there several times. This time we were there on Mother’s Day. We specifically chose The Buck because I like their Snapping Turtle Soup, my wife likes their fried Oyster Platter and my son likes their Onion Soup. However, The Buck had a special Mother’s Day menu which included none of these. We were very disappointed since we had been looking forward to having those items. Otherwise, the food was good . To top it off, they were out of Carrot Cake.

We had a nice seafood dinner here and sat out on the enclosed porch. Very happy with the service and our dinners. Would return again.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was "ok-good". The place is date, dark and in need of a facelift. Attracts the "very mature" (and that's coming from someone who is 65).

My Wife & I went there specifically for the Oysters on the Half shell, they were dirty and not removed from the shell causing us to destroy them to try and eat them, almost worst Oyster experience ever for us. The rest of the meal and drinks were very good. The Babyback ribs was a full rack and took 2 days to finish, lots of meat, tender well done for a restaurant.

When I walked into the Buck Hotel, my family and I were pleasantly greeted. We were seated quickly. As we walked, I asked about an area and the hostess offered to see us there. The servers were friendly, the food portions were generous and so delicious. I will definitely return to the Buck Hotel.

Food was below average. Had the Fish and Chips. Got charged $3 for ice in an "on the rocks" tequila. Was not the fancy large cube that you would expect. Could of took the ice out of the water glass. Questioned the waitress she had no answer so we asked for the manager. While he was struggling with a reasonable explanation a different waitress came over and said the drink was not a shot therefore a heavy pour. ????? We will never return. Problem solved.

Hello, you are being charged for "on the rocks" because it is a larger pour than a "shot." You are not being charged for ice. Ice is free. Next time get a shot of tequila and a side of ice to save the $3 but the you will be poured less tequila.

The patio is the BEST place to sit at the Buck Hotel. My friend and I arrived at 12pm for our reservation and it was only us and one more table. By the time we left, the restaurant was packed. It was beautiful. The food was delicious. The French Onion Soup, delicious. The oysters. The Buck Bloody Mary, the Buck Burger and the crab/egg benedict all delicious. The service was amazing. Would recommend the Buck Hotel to everyone.

We were a little disappointed when our food came. I had crabcakes with the mashed potatoes and the crab cakes were delicious and hot but the mashed potates were cold. My husband thought the tuna was a bit tough. Everything else was wonderful. The service was awesome and the stuff mushrooms were so good. I would still recommend the Buck and come back again.

Overall very good. Didn't like the fact that if you pay with a credit card the bill is higher. Also they charge for the rolls, 6 for $5.00. We will go there again but it might be awhile before we do.

Have not been in this establishment for about 20 years. The Buck hotel was the perfect setting for our date night. Beautiful Inn atmosphere with 2 glowing fireplaces. Our service was warm, and our food was outstanding. We will definitely be returning to check out its bar and entertainment.

Dinner was delicious. The waiter was very good. We sat right next to the fireplace, which was lovely.

I haven't been to dinner here in years but once in awhile for lunch. The food was great and the portions were huge. It was very crowded but the service was very timely. We had a group of six and we were all very happy with everything.

A very comprehensive menu -- something for everyone. Large portions and a nice fireplace.... We had lunch on Saturday and it wasn't super crowded. Next time we will eat on the glassed-in patio which is a little less noisy (my companions have hearing issues)

Service was very good, as usual. Thanks, Jamie! Ambience always nice. Tried a new Chef's special entre, prime rib and shrimp skewers. Pretty, but not as tasty as what I usually order. Portion size could have been a bit larger since advertised as an entre. It seemed more like an appetizer. But, overall, had a nice time. Thx.

Dinner was just ok. Service was good. The price is on the high side for what you get. They charge for bread and then you get a finance charge for using a cc. Skip this place.

The cocktail was not as described in menu. The Caesar salad had too much cheese. The filet mignon was tasteless. Cappuccino was served lukewarm with the froth already melted into it.
