The Buck Hotel is a converted restaurant that is extremely versatile in the options it offers patrons. Here, there are three distinct dining areas guests can choose from. The first is a spacious deck that is ideal for when the weather is nice. The second is the tavern, which fits the ideal sports bar atmosphere. This is where guests should go if they want to grab a quick bite, drink a cold beer and listen to a live band. The main dining area at The Buck Hotel is known as The Fireside, and is the main dining area that significantly more elegant and is best for a intimate date night.

We had a party of 6 for Dad's 87th birthday. Rebecca our server was wonderful.. attentive.. on point and personable. The clams casino.. oh my how great they tasted! The pretzel charcuterie board is a must! All meals were incredible.. especially the fish and chips that are breaded to order! Everything was hot.. fresh.. delicious.... The ambiance is comfortable serene and lovely. There is also seating outside for days where the weather is good. I give them an enthusiastic thumbs up... Was perfect for Papa and his 87th!

The service was impeccable. Our waiter was so attentive to our every need, and went out of his way to make our Dining pleasure was so amazing! The food was awesome. would highly recommend this restaurant.

I had the salmon which was good, my wife got the chicken parmigiana, it was not good at all. Crab cake appetizer was also very good.

Went because we've always wanted to try their seafood and it being buck-a-shuck oyster night was a bonus. The entire experience I would term as good. The oysters were good, my wife's wedge salad was different (no tomatoes, but with balsamic vinegar). Entrees were grilled swordfish, which was good but overcooked, and stuffed shrimp which were tasty. Did not get dessert. Some seafood items on the menu are a bit pricey, like the $75 broiled seafood combination. Other broiled seafood options were more reasonable in the $30-35 range. Fried seafood options are less expensive. Service was fine. Seat at the window in the enclosed porch was nice. Again, a good experience (not great), but would go back and try something different.

I got the Cajun seafood boil. It was supposed to have corn on the cob in it with shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams, sausage and crab legs. The mussels did not taste fresh surprisingly as there is a seafood market on site. Instead of corn the cob, they threw frozen corn kernels in the broth. They left the feet on the scallops. Just very underwhelming. My husband had the prime rib special. The cut and temp were good, but it was not seasoned at all. For the price, I expect better.

We have been going to The Buck for about 40 years for dinners and lunches. We even had our office Christmas party there several times. This time we were there on Mother’s Day. We specifically chose The Buck because I like their Snapping Turtle Soup, my wife likes their fried Oyster Platter and my son likes their Onion Soup. However, The Buck had a special Mother’s Day menu which included none of these. We were very disappointed since we had been looking forward to having those items. Otherwise, the food was good . To top it off, they were out of Carrot Cake.
