The Black Cat Café is owned and run by PALS, a nonprofit animal rescue organization. Although every dime we make goes directly to the 600 homeless animals we save every year, we also know that our café succeeds because it is an awesome place to eat. Styled around the cafes of the South of France, our menu is eclectic and ever changing with many vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options in addition to our regular menu. We have won Best of the Main Line 3 times. Chef Judy Clemens puts out a breakfast, lunch and brunch that cannot be beat and all profits go to saving lives. And don’t miss our gift shop, featuring home goods and more featuring pets.

The day was busy being Mother's Day but some of the staff made it uncomfortable asking us to leave after only being there 45 minutes. It was a mistake and they tried to rectify it but once a person is asked to leave on Mother's Day it is hard to stay and continue to enjoy it. Most of the staff was lovely. It was also a bit crowded but again Mother's Day. It was disappointing and also $50 per person seemed high for what was provided.

I've been meaning to visit for several years primarily to see the cats and kittens (and they are adorable! ), but the food was outstanding and the atmosphere perfect. I tried their homemade mushroom soup and quiche. Both delicious. Parking can be a little difficult but they do have a small dedicated lot if you get lucky. Don't let that stop you - it's worth the extra drive around the block. And you will leave seriously considering adopting or fostering.

Once we found the Black Cat Cafe we can’t seem to stay away. Wonderful food and people. The chef is a hoot, feels like your dining room at home (great chairs) and all for a good cause.

Newly open for dinner, they were slow on a Saturday night but we had a great family meal! Everyone was kind, the burgers and grilled cheese were surprisingly excellent. It’s a kitschy setting (it is a cat cafe after all!) and my kids loved visiting the kittens, who were caged in the front entry room/gift shop. I got a key lime pie to go that was excellent. It’s a fun choice for something casual, fun and different - we’ll be back!

I have dined at the cafe before and I will say the same thing each time. I love this place. The people are wonderful. Always trying to please. The food is good and always fresh. The pricing is good. Such a nice atmosphere. They make you feel right at home. I will be back again soon.

Lovely people and cafe. We came for Easter brunch hoping to see some cats but they did not have them. My daughter was so sad she cried. It was a bit pricey… my only hope is that the money goes to help the kittens!

When we arrived and entered, we enjoyed seeing the cute cats that were up for adoption. The volunteers who seated and served us were wonderful. The food was delicious.

I can’t say enough good things! The food was very good, and it’s one of the few places you can get a real, old fashioned milkshake. The service was efficient and friendly and our server took the time to answer our questions. There is a small, related gift section and the most adorable cats and kittens for adoption in an adjoining room. I am most impressed by the fact that every bit of profit goes for the care of these sweet furry creatures. My only complaint is that I wish there were more parking spaces.
