The Ballard Cut is a farm-to-table restaurant and whisk(e)y bar. We specialize in local ingredients, Japanese whisk(e)y, bourbon, and single malts; ranging from contemporary and affordable to rare and antique. Scratch cocktails, a 950+ bottle heavily curated whiskey list, esoteric wines and shareable plates are only a glimpse of what we have to offer.

*We have both indoor and outdoor seating available. Our outdoor seating is a fully enclosed and covered pergola structure with heaters adjacent to every table. We will try our best to ensure you get your seating preference, but cannot guarantee it. Please call during business hours to confirm any seating requests.*

    The Ballard Cut was a nice evening but our service was wanting. He was somewhat attentive but he couldn't have cared less! At no time were we told that Ballard Cut was a cool whiskey joint. We had to ask for the wine list and when we got it, we were shocked. We are seasoned wine folks and your wine bottle prices are out of sync and extremely overpriced. We didn't even bother to order one. Price doesn't scare me, overpriced and out of line prices do.

    Excellent Food & Service! Table of 4 with different items - we were all happy & will go back. Stand out on my plate were the mixed green veggies (peas, asparagus, etc.) - how often can you say that? Salmon was very tasty - had a lemon spread on the side / didn't need it! New location is good & nice inside.

    Once again, The Ballard Cut delivered a spectacular experience! I brought my parents to celebrate my mom's birthday. They recently took a trip to Ireland and got into whiskey, and I knew an evening of good food and guided whiskey tastings would make for the perfect evening. Hannah (aka the Whiskey Queen) curated an incredible sampling of whiskeys for us - including a very special blend from the 1970s, along with my dad's request for a Pappy Van Winkle - and we all shared the 40oz tomahawk. Everything was outstanding! If Hannah is accepting applications for interns, please let me know. All hail the Whiskey Queen!

    We love Ballard Cut, it is our favorite spot in Ballard! The food is consistently delicious and the hostess and servers are fun and gracious and always make it a supper enjoyable evening!

    Food was okay. Service was good enough. Menu is limited and they do not do any substitutions so was a little challenging getting something get each member of the family. Meals and drinks are expensive. Glass of white wine $16 or $18. Ridiculous.

    We dined outside on the last night in their Ballard Avenue location (before their move). Aside from several really loud groups nearby (who always fail to recognize how obnoxiously loud they are to fellow diners) the experience was terrific. We could have stopped after two appetizers (generous pork belly and cauliflower) but plowed forward with the NY strip and Tomahawk pork chop (the $265 Tomahawk steak that could feed four seemed a little much for the two of us). All were excellent. Service was great and attentive. The place is spendy for us out-of-towners but likely right in the groove for upscale locals and expense accounts. We'd go back but order differently. And seriously, when did it become a thing to nick the customer $35 for corkage?

    Fantastic food, service, and vibes! Octopus is always outstanding, the new Haibut dish blew my mind.

    We were travelling through and picked this restaurant based on the reviews, they have a good vibe and well stocked bar, the food was okay, nothing too outstanding, hard liquor & cocktail was great, although wine was rather average! Overall, slightly disappointed maybe we just have too much expectations. Staff were super friendly and there was an outdoor seating on the front street to accommodate dog.
