Sugar Factory American Brasserie brings its high-energy atmosphere to Dover, DE. The family-friendly, celebration destination known for its over-the-top sweets & treats, the world-famous restaurant promises a memorable experience. Loved previous visits, however, service was really bad this time. We requested a birthday shout out and even after reminding the host, it never happen. Our server went missing in action for 80% of our meal.

The food just didn’t taste good. I’ve been to the one in Atlantic City and it was great. Maybe my expectations where to high.

Our waitress was awesome and the food was great!! Accommodated 11 of us after a graduation.

I ordered the pancakes and they were so dry that you could not eat them. I had requested the birthday celebration and it never happened. They told me at the hostess stand it would be 25.00 and they would let our server know. No birthday celebration ever happened!

The staff accommodated the extra people that were added. Server was great, food was tasty. We got the Kong ice cream and they came out to dance. They had music issues at first, and the dance was off compared but other than that great experience for child birthday

We went after the NASCAR race in Dover, having been there a few times before. While the host staff was very good, our waitress paid little attention to us as our meal progressed. Took us about an hour after eating our dinner to get our dessert (to which they were out of what we wanted so we had to get something else) and our check. Next time we will probably just tailgate after the race and wait for traffic.

We went for my daughters 23rd birthday. It started out a bit rocky but quickly turned and became a great time. The size of the place surprised me. It's quite small,but we were in no way cramped at our table. She got one of the famous goblets ..it was delicious. Our food was good Most of us got the burgers. I have to say though the slider appetizer was better tasting. The highlight came with her birthday sundae. It was so fun to have staff come out and dance to an upbeat song. one of the managers took it all in stride and really had fun with it making goofy faces and over exaggerating her dance moves. We had an amazing time with all our family. Food pricing was a little high but not insane. We would come back on an non celebration day for sure.

You can go for the first time you can go 100 times, the experience will be the exact same. It’s pretty pricey for the limited options they have, and the portions they give. If you want to spend a lot of money for small portions this is the place to go!

I took my son for brunch for his birthday. He tried to order two different things off the menu and they did not have the ingredients on hand they needed to make those menu items. The item my son landed on had a very impressive presentation (rainbow pancakes), but they were completely tasteless. I ordered eggs, bacon and toast and my bacon was burnt. Service was very slow and inattentive. Our server did not check in at all once we had our food, which took a really long time to come. Overall, it was an expensive disappointment. We won’t return.
