A lovely lunch! Terrific friendly efficient service and truly delicious food. Our server offered great recommendations and was spot on. If the crab small plate is on the menu do not stop, do not pass go, just order it immediately. Delicious.

Meal was overall disappointing, to be kind. 4 in our party arrived at 7pm for dinner following the Mary Cassatt exhibit. There were 3 other tables of guests being taken care of when we arrived for our reservation. Menus look creative and we were excited to be there. However, salad served had wilted lettuce leaves. Cauliflower soup was reported to have little taste. I can say the same for the balsamic dressing for the salad. Portion sizes were tiny (chicken and trout, both). Chicken says it comes with grilled asparagus. That is true. It is 1 spear, cut into 5 pieces. Prices are high. We wouldn’t have minded had both the food and service was better. Truly disappointing experience.

Excellent choice for museum goers wanting quite a bit more than cafeteria fare, with a short but balanced lunch menu. Good by-the-glass wines, as well as bottles. Knowledgeable and earnest servers in a rather Scandinavian-feeling space.

Went to Stir after seeing the Cassat exhibit. It was busy when we arrived. The hostess was nice- service was prompt, and the food was good, not great. I feel that this is a good option when at the Museum, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for a meal there.

Really fun place for lunch for either after the big exhibit or to clear your head before diving back in to the permanent collection. Be sure to get a reservation ahead of time!

I have always enjoyed having an upscale restaurant to go to when spending the day at the museum with friends. The food and service at Stir is excellent but the noise level is excruciating which makes almost impossible to carry on a conversation.
