The Ghost Light Inn’s restaurant, Stella, is inspired by local ingredients from the region’s best farmers and artisans. The restaurant offers 80 seats with indoor and outdoor tables, and private dining spaces for events and gatherings. The outdoor patio displays sweeping views of the Delaware River. The main dining room offers a mix of freestanding tables and booths.During the winter months, reservations for outdoor tables are not available. However, you are more than welcome to make a note in your reservation that you would like to sit outside. The patio is heated.
Parking in New Hope can be hard to come by. The parking lot located in front of Stella is owned and operated by the Bucks County Playhouse. Stella cannot validate parking. When valet is present the cost to park is $30. When valet is not available, spaces are metered and paid for via the ParkMobile app. 100% of all parking proceeds directly benefits the betterment of the Bucks County Playhouse.

We were served quickly. Salmon was excellent but duck breast hard to cut? Was it the duck or knife? Not sure but husband said it tasted good.

The menu was creative, portions substantial and we cleaned our plates, from apps to dessert. The service was, as always, great. My one "complaint" has nothing to do with food or service. I chose Stella's because I wanted somewhere special to take first-time visitors -- specifically because it offers a lovely riverside view. Unfortunately, lots of bright white xmas-like lights framed every riverside window, making it super hard to see anything other than the lights -- especially the coveted view of the river and bridge outside. A small detail but one important to me.

Had a fantastic dining experience at Stella recently. The food was absolutely amazing! Everything tasted fresh and perfectly cooked. The gnocchi appetizer was so good! On top of that, the service was excellent. Our server, Lindsay, was friendly, attentive, and really made us feel welcome. We will definitely ask for her next time we come in. Overall, Stella is a must-try! Highly recommend it for anyone looking for delicious food and great service.

Couldn’t say more wonderful things about Stella!!! It was amazing. We sat outside with my pup. They are incredibly dog friendly, the food is wonderful and the views are amazing. We loved every bit of it and didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend the cinnamon rrolls at brunch! The staff was incredible!

Absolutely top tier service and everyone was super accommodating. Truly my only critique is the food could have a little more flavor, the rock shrimp and crab cake was a little bland, and the texture of the brisket was not ideal. Portions of everything was great though!

Everything was very nice. We were surprising a friend for her birthday. We ended up not ordering dessert , but were very surprised when the waitress brought my friend a dish of delicious ice cream with a birthday candle. It was a very nice touch to a fabulous meal

Server, bartender, and food was amazing - along with the beautiful view outside! Not sure why we were surprised how great the food was for a Tuesday night - but everyone made sure our experience was fantastic and romantic!

This was a birthday brunch celebration with friends. Unfortunately, the kitchen forgot one of our entrees. The waitress never checked on us and we had to flag her down to alert her that we were missing a dish. She claimed she put a rush on it, but it didn't arrive until the other 3 of us had finished. At this point I would have expected some sort of accommodation from the manager: comp the dish, send a drink or dessert... or at the very least walk over to the table and acknowledge the problem. While the food was good, we left feeling disappointed and underappreciated for a problem that was in no way our fault.

The restaurant is so pretty —looking out over the Delaware river. Even though we sat in a booth without a view we still enjoyed the ambiance. Our server Jessica was attentive, professional, and so personable. We really enjoyed talking to her and she had terrific recommendations. The food was delicious - loved my duck and my husband’s scallops ( didn’t love the topping on my oysters), and loved my Vermentino. Bread pudding was decadent. Great choice for dinner.

We went for an anniversary dinner at 5pm. Service was excellent from beginning to end. I really appreciate that they remembered that it was an anniversary dinner and brought out icecream with a candle. We felt welcomed, nice lively crowd made the place feel alive, river views were great! We'll definitely be back.

amazing food, lovely view, attentive service. a litter surprised they have a very basic coffee offering, i think an espresso machine would serve them very well, but the coffee was still good.

What a beautiful restaurant with a quaint & unique menu. We were seated right next to a fabulous huge window overlooking the river. Sandwiches were great. Service impeccable. And my specialty cocktail was delightful.

It was our 40th anniversary and they treated us really well. The staff was just great from reception to the bar to the table. We really enjoyed the food and the drinks. They sat us in a very comfortable booth that felt private. I have to admit though that I didn’t have a great first impression. The valet is $20, a town thing and not the restaurant’s fault apparently. Plus it was unseasonably cool outside with few diners on the deck, so the restaurant was crowded and noisy, but there was lots of positive energy. I enthusiastically recommend Stella, it surpassed our expectations in every way. Hopefully next time we can experience the deck and the river view.

Sat by the windows; beautiful view of the river. Had bread basket, gnocchi and burrata appetizers. Dorade, salmon, chicken w/ brioche & white truffle stuffing, and mushroom pasta. Everything was delicious. Service was great. Will be back.

Food was amazing. Service was exceptional! Only issue was the spacing between the tables next to us. Made it awkward to move in and out of the chair.

This was one of the loveliest dining experiences I’ve had recently. Eating regularly at some of NYC’s restaurants that statement says a lot. From the moment we arrived, the charming hostess went out of her way to make us comfortable while we waited. (We were 45 min early for our res.) A table for 4 opened up on the lovely outdoor deck looking over the Delaware River. My dining partner and I were graciously seated underneath ceiling heaters and a roaring fire in the stone fireplace next to us. We needed to remove our jackets as it was warm despite the cool March breezes. Our waiter and the staff were quick to oblige us with any request. Our toy poodle was given her own chair along with a “Pup menu” of chicken, hamburger, or salmon. All her favorites! We chose a baked bread basket with jalapeño cornbread, focaccia, and peasant wheat chunks. It was served with mashed Fava bean dip, honey butter, and a rich olive oil. Our appetizer salad of tart Apple and aged Gouda was big enough to share. A roasted “jail house” salmon melted in my mouth from the first bite. Surrounded by ginger and horseradish peas and veggies, it was a delight. The best surprise of all might have been the check. Dinner for 2 adults, including entrees, appetizers, a lovely dry Italian wine, and a “pup” entree-(she chose the chicken and farro dish, lol) was $146 including tax. These were not NYC prices! But the service, ambiance, and food rivaled any Manhattan venue for an absolutely memorable evening. It was well worth the overnight trip. We will return.
