Not just another steakhouse, Steak 48 - Philadelphia is a contemporary steakhouse featuring prime steaks, a raw bar and extensive fresh seafood selection, other unique appetizers and side dishes including a double baked truffle potato, asparagus fries and corn crème brûlée, classic cocktails and an extensive award winning wine list.

In order to support our service staff there is a 20% gratuity on all checks. At Steak 48, we encourage all of our guests to get dressed up for a great experience. In order to maintain an enjoyable environment for all guests, athletic wear, excessively revealing clothing, exposed undergarments will not be permitted. We prefer no printed t-shirts, hats or visors and always appreciate collared shirts or sports coats. Please dress as your elegant selves. You are going to have a great time!

The food here is good and the staff does well, but we cannot seem to shake bad policies here. The first time my girlfriend and I went, we ran up a bill thinking we could use a gift card only to find out they couldn't accept it. So I paid out of pocket. The manager found out and called me to apologize and give me a gift card. Granted, the gift card covered a fraction of what I was forced to pay out of pocket but it was a nice gesture. Last night, we went there to celebrate my girlfriend's acceptance to medical school. We are both in our 30s and haven't been carded anywhere in a few months. But we were last night, and when the waitress asked for IDs, my girlfriend had left hers at home. Fair enough that folks should always carry one just in case. But our apparent age, the fact she had gotten accepted into med school (not undergrad), and even photos of her ID's were insufficient evidence of age. She had to take a 20 minute round trip journey to get her ID. The waitress had been led to believe it was the law to card anyone who looks under 35. I've been unable to find that law. And to be clear, I don't blame her. She seemed concerned she'd go to jail, claiming there was a recent "crackdown." I'm just a bit skeptical that the government is cracking down on carding policies of couples, who are apparently professionals in their 30s, at high end steakhouses. The experience really ruined the celebration and it was so unnecessary. It's a shame because, like I said, food and staff have always been good. It just seems that rigid management make what should be an enjoyably time frustrating and burdensome. There are plenty of other good steakhouses in the city, including high end like this one. And I'd recommend going elsewhere.

Wonderful meal and fantastic service. I am vegan so I ordered sides and not a steak. The sides were delicious!, it was a great dinner.

Our dinner was perfect. The food was amazing, and we had what we thought was one of the best seats in the house. Our server, Semaj, guided us through the menu making some great suggestions, many that we took him up on. The corn creme brulee cannot be missed!

The food and drinks were amazing. Our server's recommendations were perfect. Semaj was awesome and definitely made sure we were taken care of. He said he was new, but he could've fooled us! He sounded like a true veteran.

Very friendly staff, waiter was very nice, attentive and informativeof the menu I like when the gratuities added to the bill, but in this case, I didn't know until the end that the gratuity was added, which a lady that works there when I was leaving, brought me the check and told me that the gratuity was added so I didn't have to add another 20% gratuity. I was very appreciated that she told me.

My family and I celebrated my husband's 50th Birthday Saturday, 4/20 and the experience was amazing. As soon as we entered, we were greeted with smiles from the staff. The ambiance was very chic. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. Everyone worked as a team to make sure our table was taken care of. The food was very good. I would certainly come back. Thank you everyone at Steak 48 for a memorable time.

Amazing food and service!! Shannon was outstanding!! I went there for my birthday with my family. This was my first time going here. We had a wonderful time. I will absolutely be going back. The food was so good. We got the shrimp app and avocado crab stack. Delicious!! The filets and lobster tail were heaven!! Can’t wait to visit again!!

What an amazing experience from beginning to end. The moment I walked in, the service was impeccable. Our server was extremely attentive, and prompt. The ambiance was on the darker side but it was very cozy and intimate. Sound level was low which was great. The food was outstanding. Tasty, sizzling hot, and it did not take too long to come out. 10 out of 10 experience. I will definitely be visiting again!

Our server Steven was great ! Everyone was excellent , amazing food, ambiance and staff were very attentive from the beginning to end of the meal. This was my fiancé and i’s first time dining with Steak 48! Lavender warm hand towels post meal were a plus 😁

Our server Steven was extremely accommodating, knowledgeable and extremely attentive. The food was amazing. The ambiance was phenomenal and the servers provided the best recommendations. Steak 48 saved the day with last minute accommodations for my birthday. We will be back again.

Sides were excellent, my filet Mignon was overcooked. I wanted medium, but server told me to get medium well because medium would be red in the center according to him. When my steak came, it was well done. Why would anyone ever order a well done filet mignon? Pricing is high. Tomahawk costs $255. At Ruth Chris a Tonahawk costs $135. There is no difference in size, quality, tenderness or taste.

Absolutely phenomenal. Everything we ate was more than delicious. The Australian Wagyu is a must try. The Mac and cheese and potatoes au gratin were yummy. The tuna poke and the shrimp deviled eggs we will get again for sure. The crispy banana split is big enough for 4 people in my opinion and is hands down the best dessert I’ve had in a long time. Our server, Miles is incredibly friendly and attentive and super sweet. Thank you for making our 19th anniversary a day to remember. They even gave us a handwritten anniversary card!! 🥰

Fabulous...weer had a party of 7 to celebrate two birthdays. Myles and Katie were excellent.they laughed with us and made us feel right at home. Also the front desk accommodated out late arrival which I called to inform we were stuck in traffic due to accidents. Anyway, the food was fabulous the tomahawk omg it was like butter everyone wanted some, others had different steaks and crab cake dishes. The sweet potatos delicious.. The fried lobster delicious. We felt and ate like kings and queens..

The service was amazing. Semaj really was a phenomenal waiter. My wife and I always come to Steak 48 and this was one of our best visits yet. We’ll be requesting for Semaj again next time we come. Food was outstanding per usual as well.

The only thing I didn't appreciate was that the dress code wasn't being followed. Management needs to make sure this is being done. Don't have a dress code and say your a high level establishment and not monitor all areas.

The restaurant has good quality food, that is cooked well. It's location is great if you attend the theaters a few feet from it.

I’ve had dinner at Steak 48 numerous times. Pricey but the service and food have always made it a none issue. However, I was disappointed with the steak from my dinner last night. I always…always get the same steak cooked the same way. Wagyu steak…medium well plus. Last night was the first time that this steak priced at market value was incorrect. It’s priced at Market Vauls so there’s no price on the menu. When it was served incorrectly, it was promptly taken back to the kitchen and cooked some more. If this has ever happened to you, you know it’s cooked too long. Which it was. I was asked if I wanted another steak after I I mentioned that this was disheartening to have a steak cooked incorrectly by one of the managers. I could have but I didn’t. Part of my experience with Steak 48 was ruined so I couldn’t rate this high as I’ve done in the past. My server was excellent as always. Remembered me from previous visits and salvaged this visit. Maybe I’ll try again, but I’ll pause because this wasn’t a great visit. Thanks
