Spinnerstown Hotel is a restaurant serving rustic local cuisine in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. The dining areas of are divided into 3 parts. The first is a casual soapstone bar and wooden booth-lined taproom, with 18 rotating beers on tap and a simple, rustic atmosphere. The second is a handsomely homey dining room (sans TV) complete with a fireplace, stone walls and hand painted ceiling. The third is an outside barn-like deck with vaulted ceilings. The cuisine is simple farmhouse fare, but with its own modern twist. Diners will find house-made burgers, Belgian-style mussels and hearty entrées like the in-house butchered boneless rib eye or hand rolled gnocchi. In addition to these standards, the menu is constantly under development, using fresh, seasonal ingredients to consistently create new dishes. An exceptional beverage selection encompasses a value-driven wine list, hand crafted cocktails, a legendary beer program, and a temptingly stocked bottle shop.

We attended Spinnerstown for Mother's day dinner this year as a party of 7. Overall, it was a great experience. Our server Jarad did a great job. We sat on the deck which was quaint and had other large parties (one table was easily 12+ people) and it was still not super loud. My wife, oldest daughter, and I all had the twin filet. Steak temp was perfect, I liked that instead of having to order a $15 salad you can opt for a salad with your entree for $2/3 (garden/caesar) We will definitely be back; my one "could do better" comment would be that we sat for nearly 30 minutes before the table was greeted. I don't think we were initially supposed to have Jarad, I think he picked up the table for another server after we had waited so long. (Thanks again Jarad!) Normally, that would be a star knocked off, but we're going to acknowledge that it was Mothers day give them the benefit of the doubt as they were literally so busy that they had to wait for silverware to wash to give us place settings - it doesn't get any busier than that!

We have not been to The Spinnerstown Hotel in years, as we are no longer living in the area. The whole atmosphere changed! Never knew they offered outdoor dining. There outdoor seating fit the bill. We happen to hit Beer Week. The offerings were plentiful. I enjoyed the interesting wine list. My husband was wowed by the bourbon list. Our server was personable as well as knowledgeable. We elected to have a casual dinner and we both chose the French Dip sandwich. Their addition of Boursin to the sandwich made it very interesting. Portions are so generous, we could have shared one sandwich and had more than enough to eat. Definitely recommend.

We were looking for a new place to celebrate our anniversary - and found it at the Spinnerstown Hotel. It has been a while since we were here and loved it last time. We had a great booth secluded away and had great service and meal. We will be back.

Outstanding all around!! Food was amazing! The smoked pig sandwich was delicious!! Great bar selections, took our 14 yr old and 11 yr old and it was a great for them as well. Will be back next time we are in town!!

We went there for a birthday dinner and were trying it for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised how good the food was and the atmosphere. The restaurant has many different dining areas from a large patio for warmer weather, a bar area, and a larger airy dining room. The food was very good, but a little pricey and bread was not included with dinner. The petite filet mignons were cooked as ordered and very tender. The halibut special with mushroom ravioli with a truffle sauce was also very good and highly recommended . For the birthday person, they gave us a small candle on the wine glass.

This was the first trip to Spinnerstown Hotel. The food was fantastic. I had pork and waffles and my husband had crab cakes. Large portions. Waitress was very attentive. We will definitely eat there again.

Dinner took 2 hours for 2 people who weren't drinking alcohol. We had to ask the hostess for our server and then waited at each stage. Sat finished for a long while and again for the waitress to get the credit card. i went to the bathroom and came back and the card was still sitting there. She was a lovely woman but i think she was working in a different room. I still tipped over 20% b/c she was so sweet but it really kills a dining experience to keep looking around for the server and waiting and waiting.

We were celebrating my father in law’s 70th birthday. We brought in a small cake and the manager informed us it would be a $5.00 per person cake charge. He told us this when we got our bill. It ruined the entire experience. Needless to say we will never go back. EDIT TO ADD/REPLY: We were unaware of this policy prior to making our reservation as it is not stated on the website. Neither the host or our server mentioned anything the entire time we were there as the cake (purchased from a bakery who does follow health regulations) sat at the end of our table. If it was mentioned to us at the BEGINNING of our dining experience we would have had an opportunity to make the decision to enjoy the cake or take our celebration elsewhere. But the manager waited UNTIL THE END of our experience enforcing this policy. Then our server apologized and stated he “talked the manager down to only $2 per person” and we told him that our daughter did not eat any of the cake, just the 4 adults did and we paid the $8. The whole experience of not being informed of the policy in a timely manner allowing your paying customers the opportunity to make a decision is where we feel the restaurant failed in hospitality and put a damper on what should have been a wonderful celebration.

To Mark Hendrix reservation, While we are disappointed that you will not return to our restaurant, it is our company policy to charge a $2 per person fee for cakes brought into the restaurant. And the cake must be from a department of health certified bakery. We were not aware that you brought your own cake into the restuarant until you started to serve it yourself. The server informed the manager and the manager did tell you that there would be a fee of $5 per person, but he did mis-speak. However, your server, Andrew, did correct that and stated that the fee was $2. You reserservation was for 5 people, we charged you a total fee of $8. We offer an array of delicious desserts for you to choose from, and offer a complimentary dessert for the birthday person. Susan

This was our second visit. We went for dinner. The entrees are a bit overpriced but you get a large portion. The pan-seared salmon was lacking in flavor. It also had an odd puree that did nothing for the dish. The server did not ask how I wanted the salmon cooked. It was overdone for my taste. We will try again for sure. The server Reds will bring you back for sure.

Food was superb and specialty cocktails were unique and delicious. I especially liked "For the love of Bourbon." Servers and restaurant manager (my friend Jared) provided a memorable experience for my wife on her birthday. Thank you so much! We'll be back.

Great service, yummy food, husband got a great bourbon flight. It was pretty loud (we were in the bar area on a Friday night so not unexpected nor really bad). However the only indoor tables available were high tops and man were they uncomfortable. I will take the outdoor seating next time.

We had yet another great evening at Spinnerstown Tavern. Our weight staff person, REDS is the best and we look forward to dining here again soon! The service and food were great and I loved the dining room we were in where the fireplace is! Great job!

The Spinnerstown Hotel is by far one of the best restaurants in the Lehigh Valley. It is out in the middle of nowhere too, so you actually have a very nice drive through some rural parts of Pennsylvania. The decor has a warm, homey feel to it but is modern enough in some parts to please just about any crowd that goes there. The beer selection is stellar as well, catering to any and all tastes from common domestics, to high end imports from all over the world. They even have wooden casks beers at just the perfect temperature as well and I highly recommend you try whatever is on cask. We came for the Valentine’s Day specials this time around. The quality of the food was impeccable, and I was floored by the Scattered Sushi appetizer. It was pretty much a deconstructed sushi with a few extra things to make it unique. I don’t know what the sauce was, but it was amazing. The other standout for me was the lobster/crab over cheese grits and sweet peppers. That was quite unique. Between these specials and their normal menu, I’m convinced that they have nothing bad to try. If you like peaches, you must try the peaches and cream pie. It is made locally and during the summer, fresh peaches are used so it is even better! My one and only complaint was the price, which was fixed at $72 per person. Given that this was Valentine’s Day, it is no surprise. Some people wouldn’t be happy with the price/portion ratio, but the quality alone makes up for it. Do yourself a favor and come here one night, I think you’ll be pleased.

Outstanding meal with friends. The dining room (away from bar area) pleasant to catch up, not noisy! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their chosen food and friendly, efficient service.

Our server many times came to the table, yet did not ask if my husband wanted another cocktail. I ordered a wedge salad with a petit filet. The wedge had the core of the head of lettuce that is inedible and I never received a steak knife so I had to use my butter knife to cut the steak. It was almost a $200 dinner for 2 and not worth the value. Food was good, but I expected more from service with the prices paid.

We enjoyed a delicious meal, everything came out hot, fresh and so good! Our server was very attentive and fun. Overall a 5 star evening! We will be back!

Peak time on a Saturday night is going to be busy and loud. Just come to terms with that. You'll also enjoy excellent food and service. I got the Guiness onion soup and meatloaf. Both were superb. Looking around the table, wedge salad was huge, as were the dinner entrée salads. Salmon looked great. French dip also looked to be a good choice.
