My name is Tom Vasiliades. I am the proud owner of South Street Souvlaaki. For more than 40 years, my dedicated staff and I have been serving the finest, award-winning Greek & Mediterranean fare at my restaurant on Philadelphia's historic South Street.

I stand committed to quality. Fresh food prepared daily with that old-country know how offers our loyal patrons world class meals. My staff & I always keep on top of our game. Our work ethic always provides you a predictable memorable experience.

We have eaten here probably 50 times over 30 years. Tom has sold the business to his previous employees who generally do a good job continuing Tom’s classic Greek dishes. I don’t appreciate being served my entree while still working on my appetizer. It feels rushed and the main dish can cool off unnecessarily. We waited almost 10 minutes for our cocktails while the bartender filled orders of soft drinks. I always wondered why those soda orders couldn’t be filled by the wait staff. Overall a good bargain and we return again.

Everything was fabulous. The food is outstanding. The food is always fresh and delicious. Great atmosphere and the value can't be beat.

EXCELLENT, delicious and authentic Greek food! I could taste the love in the preparation. We had a party of 8 and Megan was our amazing server - she took great care of all of us!
