Does not live up to the hype. Mediocre skillet brunch with under seasoned food, imbalance of ingredients involved. Mimosas where basically orange juice. A lesson in how not to get carried away by the hype.

I watched part of our order sit in the window for 15, yes, 15 minutes. Took 10 minutes to get greeted at our table and just as long to get coffee. Yes, it was Sunday but it was 12:45 and after the rush. Our server never checked on us once food arrived, no checking on more coffee or how our meal was. The food was not worthy of 18 bucks a plate for eggs or a 15 dollar breakfast burrito that dried out under a heat lamp. Really disappointed. 100 bucks for 3 for breakfast- could have done better! Never going back.

We enjoyed our meals very much (love the waffle and the biscuit and the grits were creamy and yummy). Our server was fun and helpful. Great mimosa choice. We will be back. Best to get a reservation because things can get crazy busy.

Loved this place! We popped in for a pre-game brunch. The chicken and waffles was amazing. We sat at the counter and saw all the dishes come out and everything looked so yummy. The food was so good, we decided to come in for dinner after the game to try out some of the other dishes. We had the chicken breakfast burrito and that was bomb. The Mac & cheese was awesome. Mashed potatoes were great. We also had the griddle cakes with a piece of chicken and that was perfect! We even had more chicken and waffles for dinner. The Seahawks won that day BUT Skillet Diner was the highlight of our day!

Awesome food, great service. Breaky all day! We had heir Basic Burger, Good Burger, Garlic Fries, Lemonade, and Black Eyed Mule. All super good! Highly recommend!

Newly reopened, so we were likely there during the teething phase as they ramp up. Fried chicken was absolutely delicious, could be a little less cooked but very tasty. Burger and fries were positively yum! Drinks and desserts were great. Chicken fried steak was bullet proof and way too overcooked and chewy. Oh and the service was exceptional. Definitely returning.

Great food and service. would go back. I thought it was expensive but probably par for the course in capital hill (but 4.50 for a cup of brewed coffee kills)

Great food and generous portions with a wonderful variety of classic and unique offerings. It is a busy place with terrific, frenetic energy and a line out the door. Be prepared to wait, especially if you have no reservation. Our visit, however had two issues. First, the cinnamon role looked deliciously, but was dry and hard. Our waiter graciously removed it from the tab. And second, our waiter was corralled into bar duties and was unavailable for a long time. Probably caused by a staffing issue. All in all, we enjoyed a tasty meal in a fun place.
