Had a wonderful lunch at Rouge! Was perfect weather so the front of restaurant was all opened. Drinks were fabulous and food was excellent:) Wait staff couldn't have been any better!!! So attentive and helpful!!!!

The ambience is very nice. It appears small at first but while sitting I never felt as if the table next to me was too close I could not hear their conversation so it still felt very private. The ceiling and decor are beautiful. Our waiter was very nice and the food was absolutely delicious. The drinks were also very good. All around a great place

Went to Rouge for Valentine’s Day dinner with my husband. The Brussel Sprouts appetizer is my absolute favorite. It’s charred to perfection and the fish sauce it’s in is so yum. My husband got the Spanish calamari and surf and turf. He was raving about it. Best surf and turf he’s ever had. I got the seared scallops which were perfectly salted. Too often I have had bad ones but these were on point. Finished with a S’mores for Two paired with a Rumtini. The service was excellent and the ambiance was perfect for a cosy date. Also props go to the Sous Chef Matt D. bc the menu and flavors are 🤘. We will be back for sure.

Great place - went there for Brunch with my Temple freshman. I was fussy about how my eggs Benedict came out and the manager made sure it was absolutely perfect. Service amazing and aims to please. Highly recommend.

Loud, burger meat was not good, chicken sandwich could not be eaten as served (chicken didn't fit the bun), and expensive. Lovely place, good service, food was below average and not worth the money.

The clams and bucatini I had was one of the worst plates of pasta I’ve ever eaten. Specifically, the problem was the grated cheese on top of the pasta. It was a perfect example of why the italians in nearly every region of Italy believe that cheese and seafood don’t go together. There was so much cheese in the pasta that I could not perceive any taste of clam whatsoever. Fyi, I’m a veteran diner having consumed many many plates of pasta in many different restaurants in both the U.S. and Italy. The many plates of linguine and clams I’ve eaten have never contained cheese.

While service was pretty good overall they failed to offer any cracked black pepper or cheese for our lunch plates. It was empty at 2:30 pm, hard to get a handle on noise levels. The food was good, especially the brussel sprouts.

Restaurant week occasion. Server was very friendly. I gif the crispy chicken sandwich which was cooked perfectly but the sauce on it was barely edible. Not needed! The app was a pretty crudités with whipped feta and it was good. The dessert was a trio of small pastries: caramel filling cream puff (ok), key lime tart (lovely) and flourless chocolate torte (tasty). The restaurant is lovely and I would probably go back.

Hands down one of the best tasting lunches I have had. We went for Philly Restaurant week. The Brussel Sprouts were amazing! My Cobb salad was fresh and on point with the dressing. Props to the Manager and Sous Chef Matt because the service and food were A++. They took great care of us! Highly recommend this little gem!

I recently went to Rouge for dinner for restaurant week. The interior of the restaurant is quite small. There’s minimal seating and the bar takes up about 50% of the floor space. It was rather cold because the windows facing Rittenhouse Square were open and it had become rather windy outside. As for the food, it was disappointing. We had a salad and the salmon with mushrooms; not particularly tasty. Desert was skimpy. The wait staff was pleasant; no complaints there. Overall, between the food, the super small space and the cold air, I wouldn’t go back.

We had a very ok meal at Rouge. Everything we had was good but we’d had better. We split the French onion soup and had the fried chicken sandwich and the scallops. Drinks were amazing but NYC prices. For what we paid, it should have been incredible. Not sure if I’d return for food but will come back for drinks because the decor and ambiance are lovely!

Went out with my parents for lunch as part of our Christmas tradition. The service was prompt, the food was excellent (I had the farro and kale with poached egg and my parents had the smoked salmon Benedict) and while the waitress had definitely mastered talking loud and clear, I might not have chosen to eat here had I realized how loud it was just because my dad has trouble hearing with that amount of background noise. I think it’s something about the space in the restaurant. Just something to think about if you have someone who is hard of hearing in your party.
