Depuis 1998, le Osteria La Spiga est renommé pour sa cuisine du nord de l'Italie authentique. C'est un hommage gastronomique à la région Émilie-Romagne. Food was mixed. Pastas were very good, smaller portions. Veal entree was not good (basically meat on a plate without much sides). Ambience was very good, service was good. Overall I would go back, but would stick with specials or server suggestions on food.

We used an $100 Intentionalist gift card for Black owned businesses. We got the fried cauliflower, the fried bread, the spring salad (so , the ragu pasta (our fav), and the bean casserole, two cocktails (artichoke and the passionfruit) and an espresso all for $100. Great value. Everything was super fresh, delicious, and hot. Only thing we wouldn’t order again is the bean casserole and that is a seasonal dish. They have a whole team of servers who were great. It was the second time I’ve been there, so I know it’s a bit noisy, so I asked for a quiet spot and we got one near the window.

The bread was 3 bland medallions served in a paper bag, and the salad appeared to be a precut medley straight out of a plastic bag from the nearest grocery store. The gnocchi was tasty but unoriginal, and the truffle butter pasta had hints of flavor but ultimately rather bland for the advertised dish. The tiramisu had nice flavor, but seemed a bit soggy and old, as if left out for some time. The chocolate cake which the waitress recommended was about as dry as saltine crackers. The waitress was kind but seemed keen to keep trying to get us to purchase more drinks. The couple at the table next to us seemed to be enjoying themselves with laughter and conversation, but the waitress came by to kick them out, claiming they were past their dining time - despite numerous open tables. Near the end of our evening a large party of 20 came in shouting and hollering as if on a bar crawl, which played against the desired ambience. Unfortunately, the promising setting and ambience is offset by bland, unoriginal, low-quality dishes at steep prices. My wife and I love Italian food and have eaten at countless Italian restaurants. Our overall dinner experience at Osteria La Spiga is near the bottom of our list, and the value is the worst we’ve experienced.

The entrees were amazing - so pleased with them. The ambiance in the back room where we ate was beautiful. The flatbread was bland but flatbread is always stupid.

I have dined here many times. Food was fine. Tasty pasta as always but service was slow to come..I sat for nearly 20.minutes without anyone coming for a drink.order or hello. My guests arrived after 30 mintes and, the same wait time..then the main course was brought wgile apps still on the table and the dessert was brought and the check dropped moments later. It was only 8.45 , music turned up for benefit of staff I aasume, and I felt like they did all but flash lights and announcr, "Attention all shoppers". A pity as this was a favorite spot of mine. I worked in the industry for years..not as it should be

Food was good. Service was ok. I put in the notes, when making the reservation, that we were celebrating 2 birthdays but there was no mention of it during the meal and no attempt to offer a complimentary dessert.

An awesome experience at Osteria La Spiga as usual. When the server heard we were celebrating my husband's birthday and our 30th wedding anniversary, she showed up with two complimentary flutes of Prosecco.

Food was delicious as always. It was a very busy night and we were tucked away behind a privacy screen (they’re getting creative to fit more tables) so it was hard to get our servers attention consistently. Overall, a great date night though.

First time at this restaurant & we loved it. Our service was very sweet and gave great recommendations for wine & food pairings. We were celebrating an Anniversary & they asked at the start but never did anything about it that we found interesting but didn’t mind. (Thinking champagne or a dessert would’ve been a nice touch!) Gorgeous ambiance inside and very photo friendly. We will be back!

I used to love this place, the food last night was terrible though. Mushy lasagna, dry and unsauced pork shank. What a rip off to charge for bread AND olive oil! I’ve never heard of such a thing. Sorry to say that I won’t be returning again. Like I said it used to be one of my favorite places but hadn’t been in for a meal in about 10 years. Was so excited to come back too last night. Very disappointing.

Finally got to try this set of hidden gem for dinner before a show at 12th Ave Arts. I had no idea it was so large! Had a great glass of Italian red wine and we shared the spicy seafood appetizer. Then we shared the 6 Onion soup it was so large that I finished it for my entree and my date had the grilled platter. It was so large he actually had to get a doggy bag! A first. The only downside was Seattle soda. Yuck.

We love this restaurant! However, the pasta was very underwhelming this time. Particularly the gnocchi - it was just a big lump of goo with red sauce. Hoping it was just an off night, but it was very disappointing.

We had a 5:30 reservation and got there about 20 minutes early on a Friday night. The restaurant was empty and as they sat us, they walked us up to an upper level banquet area where no one else was seated. We had our entire meal alone in this area with odd chairs, over-flow napkins and silverware , janitorial items and absolutely no warmth to the environment. We had drinks, apps, salads and dinner, paid our bill and got in the car 45 minutes later. Not quite a date night, in my opinion.

This is one of our favorite restaurants. Every course was excellent: Tenderloin on crostini, roasted vegetables, fried polenta, lasagna for me and ravioli for my wife, tiramisu for me and gelato for me wife. Every dish was perfectly prepared and delicious. Service was attentive and friendly. In the background we could hear a solo piano from some distance. We even were lucky enough to snag parking on the street within a block. I love La Spiga!

The dish I ate: CASSERUOLA oven-baked cannellini and cranberry beans with parsnips, escarole, butternut squash and roasted tomatoes topped with a polenta herb crust Tasted like a mush. All I could taste was the beans. $22 for bland mush is something I would eat after tooth/gum surgery.

It is too casual, so if you go for a celebration and you expect a bit more service, you don't get it.

Disappointing food considering how well regarded is the restaurant. The signature pasta dish, lasagne verdi, was mushy with a dry top crust. The salad had too much dressing and the flatbread was dry and flavorless. All in all a very disappointing meal.
