Are outside on a lovely evening. Food was outstanding. Wait staff was inattentive. Our waiter and another waiter were focused on flirting with a table of 3 young women. Both consistently returned to their table while the rest of us received little to no attention.

I would definitely go back! Such yummy food. I went with my friend and we started out ordering drinks. She ordered hers first, and I ordered mine second with our food. Our drinks took a long time to come. Not sure because the bar was busy or restaurant was busy but the service was very slow. When we got them, we were a bit disappointed. We saw the rose sangria on their website. It looked amazing. It had strawberries and looked like such a yummy drink. But when we got it, it was kind of watered down and looked nothing like they had shown on their website. Also, I’m not sure if it was because it was a Friday night at dinner time, but it seemed like they were short staffed or something. Our waiter was barely checking on us. We also had to flag him down for the check. Granted, it was a Friday night at 6:30. But he was one of the only waiters I saw outside. The rest of staff was inside or 4 people were at host. Other than the service, the food was great! We both had the Chicken Gyro which came with lettuce, tomatoes, cabbage salad and Taziki on the side. Amazing!!! Overall, we enjoyed our food and will definitely will try it again. (And they offer brunch). I would just say be mindful of the time you go because it can get quite busy. Taziki

The food was very tasty but some dishes definitely could have been served hotter. Granted we were sitting outside on not-so warm evening but it was not hot when it arrived. We had a toddler with us and appreciated being seated on the edge and near other families. They need more high chairs though. I specifically included the request in my reservation but we had to wait until about halfway to get one.

The grilled octopus with hummus was outstanding! Shared this app, but I’ll get my own next time. My daughter loved the lamb rags and my souvlaki came with delicious sides- gotta love a place that has great fries. Highly recommend !

First time and we all loved it. We had various ages and food tastes and everyone loved their choices. The server was great, I appreciated his dinner recommendation too of the Lamb Shank. My only complaint is the noise level, it was a Monday evening and it was loud and on the edge of difficulty hearing each other.

The food is excellent and interesting but I was a little disappointed in the avocado toast I got at brunch. The toast is very thick slice and is more like bread than toast- no crisp to it … Everything else including drinks were wonderful.

Nice, comfortable, bistro-like restaurant, in a quaint college town. Horiatiki was very fresh and tasty. Gyro was very generous and good. Service was fine. Seats were cloth and were stained. Still, overall, good for lunch.

We just came in for appetizers and a drink and all of the food (the grilled octopus, fried cheese and one that has a long Greek name) were delicious. Of course we had to order dessert (again don't ask me the Greek name) but it was also delish.

Most of the food was good, but it was too loud for conversation with friends, one of whom just gave up participating in the shouting match. He didn't like his chicken and potatoes either, said it was too dry, without sauce to help it go down.

Food and service were outstanding. All 3 dishes the branzino, lemon chicken, and veal shank. We also ordered the muscles and octopus Greek style. The restaurant is clean w nice decor. A bit on the more expensive side but definitely worth the price. We had a great time and our waiter was both friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. Check out their drink menu the lavender lemon drop was creative as well as a great cocktail. Opa is consistently busy so definitely reserve thru Open Table in advance. The place is so loud. We literally have to shout to keep the conversation going. They need to do something with all the hard surfaces. It doesn’t help that they have loud music playing on the speakers. The quality of the food is inconsistent. Some dishes are well made while others could be very bland. The seafood pasta was not very good. The pasta was overcooked. I think the restaurant needs to decide what it wants to be when it grows up.

Only ok Greek food. The Greek salad was ok, but pre-made and had very little cheese. The mains just ok. The chicken on the gyro was dried and tasteless. The owner, the staff all very nice and excellent service. If you have been to Greece this place will be disappointing.

The food is so unbelievably that it being crowded didn’t bother me. It’s a small restaurant and reminds me of being in the city. The cocktails!!! So so delicious. The food blew me away. Truly epic. Will be back!

For the most part Opa Taverna is overall a nice restaurant. My only issue was about when the server presented the daily fish specials he did not tell us the price. When we got the bill, I discovered that it was $50.00. To be fair, I should have asked, but I did not want to appear "cheap" in front of our friends. My point is that a dish that is that expensive (compared to the other grilled fish at $36.00) should be mentioned by the server. This left a bad taste in my mouth. I am not sure if we will return.

Again and again we will keep coming back to Opa Taverna. We have been coming here for a few years and it ranks as one of our favorite restaurants to dine at whether just the two of us or with a group. the food is always great, the service wonderful. It can be a bit loud but the noise is worth it given all the other wonderful reasons to dine at this restaurant. The management is very accommodating, as we found out on this last visit when we had to make changes to our reservations. We will keep coming here, especially when we are looking for that fun, special night out.

Wonderful time at Opa…staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. George, the manager, is amazing and very helpful. Best Greek food around, make sure to drink the “St. George” red wine, you won’t regret it .
