Midnight & The Wicked offers four unique spaces. Experience live music and one-of-a-kind mixology as you lose yourself at the glamor and excitement of the 1920s at Midnight, The Vault, and The Crimson Theater. Or, Indulge in the forbidden pleasures of a bygone era at The Wicked.

At Midnight & The Wicked, we pride ourselves on providing a sophisticated and upscale atmosphere for our guests. In order to maintain this standard, we have established a dress code policy that all guests are expected to adhere to. We require our guests to dress to impress in attire that is deemed appropriate for a high-end cocktail lounge. This includes, but is not limited to:

Business or formal attire (suits, blazers, polos, and collared shirts; dresses, skirts, and blouses)
No athletic wear, including but not limited to: athletic shoes, sweatpants, hoodies, jerseys, tank tops.
No shorts, work boots, flip flops, or sandals.
No hats, bandanas, or balaclavas of any kind.
No explicit attire.

The cocktails were delicious, however the menu could use a few dry/savory/less sweet cocktail options. There is no food, so the “food” rating was for the drinks. The decor and ambience is fantastic! The noise level could be dialed down a notch; the live music is wonderful, but it would be nice to have softer/quieter background music in between sets so people can converse more easily. Loved that the cocktail waitresses in my section were dressed the part and in keeping with the 1920s theme!

This was a very nice vibe. I renamed it the boom boom room. There wasn’t any food but great drinks.

Wonderful new lounge with a speak easy vibe in downtown. Was perfect to grab some late night cocktails and to end an evening. perfect spot to meet with friends or end a romantic evening

No food but the drinks, ambience and the whole vibe was quite amazing. It’s great that Philly now has a true upscale place to grab a drink and dance. The decor was outstanding.

I selected the “venue” for the occasion because I wanted to create a memorable experience for my guest who was celebrating his birthday — and I thought “what could be better than a restaurant with a blend of good music and food”. I was stunned to learn that the establishment does NOT serve any food. (I only learned of this fact while being seated.) Why would Open Table list and promote this venue as a place to eat — isn’t that what’s Open Table is all about— when it’s just a bar??? I was so disappointed. The atmosphere was extremely noisy. I ordered a cup of hot tea that I “thought” was a fancy “tea” drink. I got a tea bag floating in a cup of hot water for my $10. Really!?!?! We stayed for less than an hour.

Beautiful place and location. But no one accommodated the reservation I made for my sister’s birthday. They said they couldn’t help us and that they weren’t taking any reservations. The disorganization made me look like a poor planner. We also waited at the bar for quite sometime as we watched other people walking up to get served somehow before us. Bar tenders/ bar backs didn’t look like they wanted to be there. I almost didn’t get my card back.

We arrived at the door at our pre-arranged reservation time, checked in and were seated at a small table in Midnight, the lounge area. A server approached us and said that someone else was just sitting in those seats and she was going to have to check whether we were supposed to be there. We told her we had a reservation, and that was where their staff had seated us. She came back after 10 minutes and apologized and gave us water, said yes we were supposed to be sitting there, and took our drink order. 25 minutes later we received our drinks. This is a bar. The sole purpose of this facility is to serve drinks. There's no food, just drinks. A nearly half hour wait time for 2 very simple drinks (a gin and tonic and a cosmo) is out of hand and completely unacceptable the prices are also way too high. The place is beautiful inside, but it has too many flaws impeding a relaxing experience. We saw many other guests sit, wait for service or drinks, and then leave before getting a chance to imbibe because the service was so scattered and inattentive. We only had the one pair of drinks despite spending an hour in the place, because it was just way too slow. Will not go again.

I wish they had small bites. Drinking alcohol and having nothing to eat is not a good idea.

The line to get in was out of control. There was not distinction between those with a reservation and those without one. After 37 minutes of standing in line after informing security/doorman I had a reservation, we were finally allowed entrance. Upon entering, we did not know who to check in with. We asked a bartneder and she finally connected us to a host. He seated us and it took anohter 20+ minutes to get service. With the 11p reservation we did not get seated and served our first drink order until 12:37a.

Ambiance was beautiful, noise level was very loud making it hard to converse. Service was terrible 45 minutes for a drink with reservations.

Overall a beautiful establishment, the atmosphere is great drinks are delicious. Would love a little food nuts popcorn just something minuscule as I do understand the concept.

Amazing experience. Great place for a date night! A speakeasy vibe that can appeal to multiple crowds. Can’t wait to return. Make tire to book a rsvp before going because the lines were long.

Went with a few friends around 7:30. Didn’t have a reservation which wasn’t a problem just no seating for those who don’t make one. If you were looking to go have a few drinks and check out the atmosphere and take insta pics. This is the place. Unless you arrive before 10pm otherwise the place is packed. The drinks were great it does tend to be more in the higher end price wise but definitely worth the experience. Staff were friendly had great recommendations and the customer service was great! I would definitely recommend booking a reservation if you have a bigger party.

Great cocktails, ambience and service! We went at about 9:45 and it was packed. It was super warm inside so keep that in mind with outfits!

We had a party of 6. We all had a different drink. They were amazing. Our server Lindsey was very knowledgeable and patiently explained all the ingredients. She was very friendly and funny as well. The ambience is amazing and so well done. We will be back with more of our friends.

I absolutely loved this place! The vibe was very classy, exactly what I was looking for in Philly. I always have to go to NYC to find live jazz places like this. Most Jazz spots in Philly are very casual, and just meh. This place is big and fancy, with 3 different rooms, each with a different color. Try to dress up to come here by the way, the place is not casual. This place is nice for a silk/satin dress and for blazers or suits. I loved the setting. The servers were friendly and accommodating well as the lady attending the ladies room. The bathrooms were clean and classy too. The whole ambiance was just perfect for a date or to just hang out with friends. They have a night club inside the place that opens at 10 but it’s separated, thank god for that, so the night club doesn’t ruin the jazz vibe. The drinks were good. The only downside about this place is that they serve no food, so I went super hungry with dinner reservations expecting to dine, so I was in for a surprise to discover they didn’t even have appetizers, so come ready. We wanted to stay longer and continue drinking and stuff but were too hungry and had to leave. But besides the food part this was a 9 out of 10! We’ll be coming back very soon.

Service was excellent. Ambiance makes you feel really cool. Beautiful bar and comfortable bar seats (has backs to them). The live music was a wonderful touch. Had three cocktails. One of the cocktails was excellent. Another I think is more of a me problem—I probably shouldn’t get bourbon based drinks. But my last one tasted watered down/imbalanced.

They overbooked so all of my parties tables got taken even though they were reserved. They had us running around chasing the reception dude with an iPad. Cool club, but definitely prepare for the amount of people before opening

This place was clearly not ready to open. Extremely unorganized and disappointed that we didn’t even get to try any specialty cocktails. No host stand either, only a guy running around with an iPad. I came with friends thinking that we would get seated with cocktails before the nightclub. Instead, we were told that they overbooked the restaurant and told us to wait. The guy never came back to us and my group spread out to find him. We had a reservation but that clearly meant nothing. I even texted the number that we were going to be there soon and I got a reply that said “perfect”. I don’t know why I was told that instead of being told that they could not seat us. I also made the reservation 4 days prior. Since we didn’t get seated, we tried ordering a specially cocktail from the bar but no one would give us attention for with while. So we went to the other bar in the nightclub but they were only doing regular drinks, not specialty cocktails. We spent 3 hours on the dance floor and left before 12:30am. The few good things I can say are: that place was aesthetically pleasing, there was free coat check, and no fee to enter. I’m willing to give this place another shot but I will be back in a month or two.
