Everything was great. However, the lighting needs to be brighter.. Had to use our Cell flashlights to read the menu.

We always enjoy an evening at McCleary's. We had a wonderful waitress, and everyone loved their dinners.

Wine cup had lipstick on it, soda flat. Had to wait an hour for food to arrive

We arrived a bit early but were seated promptly. The 'outdoor' room was very light and airy but also very noisy. The server was personable and gave excellent service overall. However... both meals arrived in a very short time (less than 20 minutes) and my veal was prepared "okay" - a bit overcooked - except for the asparagus which were delightful. My son's meal (he ordered the Duck Wellington) was a REAL DISAPPOINTMENT. The 'duck' as such was more of a 'ground meat' concoction stuffed into the pastry shell and VERY DRY. I tried a bite and could hardly swallow it because of the dryness. My son was very gracious and ate it anyway--I would have returned it (and this was a joint Mother's Day/son's birthday outing). Overall, though, McCleary's has always been an enjoyable experience. I've been there at least 6 times in the past 4 years with different people and was always pleased.

Large number of draft beers. Varied menu with many traditional Irish dishes but plenty of other options. Typical informal pub atmospheres. Prices reasonable.
