La Viola - West offers an authentic Italian dining experience. An excellent place for date night, it has decor that includes wood furnishings, crisp linens, and soft, romantic lighting. The menu at La Viola - West includes a variety of pasta along with grilled and roasted meats such as veal, chicken, and fresh fish.

An array of desserts, hot coffees, and sodas are available to order with your meal at La Viola - West. However, no alcohol is served, although you are welcome to bring your own bottle with you. Offering catering services and designated event space, the restaurant hosts special parties and celebrations upon request.

The restaurant was so warm and inviting! Wish the website would have said that it was a BYOB. Other than that truly a place not to be missed

Food was delicious. That being said, we were immediately hounded to make decisions on dishes and barely had enough time to review the menu. It felt like we were being rushed out the entire time, and the restaurant was so loud that it was extremely difficult to hear the people in my party seated next to me without yelling and asking them to repeat themselves multiple times.

The food was ok. However we were very rushed to make our food choices, finish our meal and pay. I could barely finish my coffee after dinner before the server came back to the table several times to pick up the check. At one point a friend dining in our party was so frustrated with this server that she had to outright tell him twice that we were not finished yet.

Wonderful authentic Italian restaurant, but be prepared to sit in very close vicinity to other guests as tables are tightly packed. food and service are excellent.

One of the few good restaurants where you can relax and have conversation due to the relatively low ambient noise level, no annoying background music, and to boot good food, good service, and a consistently friendly staff.

The atmosphere was great in spite of the tight quarters. The service was great. The salads were great. The pasta accompaniment was very good. The prices were quite reasonable for a center city restaurant. My wife had a breaded veal dish which she enjoyed. I had the largest duck breast I was ever served. The taste and texture were inconsistent. Some sections were difficult to cut. The identifiable muscle was very good. Some pieces had the texture of chicken livers.

LaViola. Is one of our favorite center city spots. The food is scrumptious and the service is exceptional. It’s located very close to the Kimmel Center and The Academy. We’ve been coming here for years. Highly recommend!!!
