I had dinner at La Piovra for the first time and it was a wonderful meal. The owners went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend this place and will be back.

I didn't even know this place existed but was thrilled to discover it. The fish I had was delicious. My mother loves lamb chops and said hers were delicious too. The bread strips were tasty. I'm glad we went there. Right off of the train station.

this is my second visit to this restaurant, both times for pizza which was made to our order. We have several vegetarians among us and the restaurant was very willing to change several of the pizzas described as having meat to vegetarian for us. There were only a few appetizers that we found appealing. However, we were able to choose from them and found them very tasty.

It is really disappointing to make a reservation at a restaurant and when we arrive see a sign on the door saying CLOSED -- as in on vacation. Why didn't Open Table advise us that the restaurant was closed and that we should make other arrangements?

First visit and pleasant surprise. Restaurant is welcoming and immaculate. Staff was friendly, attentive and helpful in making menu choices. Lamb chops and Dorado fish were grilled perfectly, delicious. Sides were excellent. Well worth return visits.

We sat outdoors and had a relaxing, delicious dinner with friends. We all loved our meal and the service was excellent! Nice to have a neighborhood gem within walking distance.

Delicious food, good service, pleasant staff. Roasted veges and roasted beets were tasty. The fish dish was enough for 2 people. Oyr nephew's pizza was delicious, with light flavorful crust. We enjoyed our limoncello cake and tiramisu. Thank you.

For the price of lamp chops and salmon, it was not a good value. Both dishes were bland, and the ambiance was not good for what they charged for their meals. We gave them a try, but we will not return.

We came to La Piovra for Mother's Day and service and food were excellent! The calamari and shrimp specials were delicious! We will definitely return!

We’ve had great pizza from LaPiovra several times. Our first pizzas were take out. The last two times, we ate in, and the pizzas were even better. Not only is the pizza great, but the wait staff is terrific. We were served tonight by Rina and Aldo. The service was outstanding and Rina and Aldo were a delight to talk with. We had a nice conversation about Italy and Albania. We will go back many times, I hope.

Excellent food and service. Best grilled vegetables ever with our fish. Amazing chocolate dessert. My only issue is it’s very hard to talk when the room is filled and the piped-in music is loud.

We went here for pizza and everything was very tasty. We ordered 2 pizzas for the 3 of us which was sufficient. We requested some changes from the menu descriptions and all were accommodated without any problems. We started with a shared order of grilled vegetables and a spinach pie-both very tasty. The pita bread that came first was so good that we had to stop ourselves from filling up on it. Despite being shorthanded that evening, our server made us feel welcome and brought everything to us as soon as ready so it arrived hot.

This place is a grand slam. A fabulous BYOB. Great pizza and they are now offering more options. We have always been there for their delicious pizza, we had a burger and chicken skewers last Saturday, and our meals were wonderful. Wait staff is fantastic. This is Elkins Park best kept secret.
