The story of Josephine’s begins during our executive chef Daniel LeBoon’s childhood. At eight years old, working for his father’s catering company, Daniel discovered a passion for food. This love — and undeniable talent — saw him intern at Philadelphia’s prestigious Le Bec-Fin. He went on to work in Paris at the venerable Hotel Vernet working under the renowned chef’s Alain Solvere and Alain Ducasse. In 2004, Daniel purchased Josephine’s in Marietta and developed an extremely loyal following based on the combination of great food, great atmosphere and great hospitality. Although Josephine’s closed in 2011, the name and the experiences are fondly remembered by countless people.

    Hunter took great care of us - even suggested which appetizers four people could share. My pork chop was very well made and bigger than my head - took some home. Scallops were perfect! Creme Brulee done wonderfully, and the chocolate thing disappeared before I learned its name. Darn!

    outstanding restaurant with wonderful culinary creativity. Really enjoyed our meal for business dinner. Highly recommend. Only wish is for a selection of cabernet wines b/n 75-125$. That was very limited. I intend to go back for sure.

    We gave dined several times at Josephine’s and have never been disappointed. The service was prompt and professional and the good prep and plating was as well. One question though…have to wonder why the entre special (wago) was not offered to all tables??? It obviously was not sold out as we heard it offered to tables after we had already ordered. Questioning the server we determined it was not an oversight, but rather a decision by mgmt to only offer it to certain groups….seems odd.

    I gave the noise level the score I did because we were sitting by the piano. Our waiter, Zach, was amazing and really interacted well with our guests. That was the sixth time we visited Josephine’s. Everything was amazing as usual. Thanks!

    Everything was amazing. Service the decor the drinks and the food! Would highly recommend and would definitely be back! Wife and I felt like we were in home in NYC and it was awesome

    Josephine’s was a spectacular dining experience. To begin with, the place is beautifully and uniquely decorated with vintage Hollywood prints. We were warmly greeted by the host and taken to a lovely romantic room. Hunter, our server came to our table after we settled in. He was gracious and charming. Our drinks were delivered promptly and he described the specials and answered our questions in a way that made us want everything on the menu. Wonderful house made bread appeared and was followed shortly by our appetizers. When the entrees came we were stunned by the artful and whimsical presentation. They were absolutely divine. Perfectly cooked halibut and scallops with sauces and sides that complemented them perfectly. Hunter was spectacular and made the entire experience feel special. This is a must if you’re in Lancaster. We were in town for an event, but agreed that it would be worth driving to Lancaster from Annapolis just to dine at Josephine’s again. Thank you. .

    We all had the special appetizer of lobster and escargot, it was amazing….one order was sufficient for two people. The swordfish was delicious and I would order it again, the scallops were the best ever. I would personally skip dessert, it was OK, but not a must. The waiter was absolutely fantastic. Always a great night out for dinner.
