The Story of Josephine’s
The story of Josephine’s begins during our executive chef Daniel LeBoon’s childhood. At eight years old, working for his father’s catering company, Daniel discovered a passion for food. This love — and undeniable talent — saw him intern at Philadelphia’s prestigious Le Bec-Fin. He went on to work in Paris at the venerable Hotel Vernet working under the renowned chef’s Alain Solvere and Alain Ducasse. In 2004, Daniel purchased Josephine’s in Marietta and developed an extremely loyal following based on the combination of great food, great atmosphere and great hospitality. Although Josephine’s closed in 2011, the name and the experiences are fondly remembered by countless people.

    Service so nice and accommodating. It was my husbands birthday and everyone acknowledged it doing the meal.

    They have the best crab cakes I have ever had. The service was outstanding, the ambiance was awesome, nice and quiet. It’s expensive but worth it.

    Josephine's is our favourite restaurant in Lancaster County for special occasions. My wife had seafood, and I had duck breast. We ordered a bottle of Garrus Rosé (widely regarded as the best rosé from Provence. I was pleasantly surprised to see there was only a 2X markup on the wine when most restaurants charge 3X. The duck breast was moist and tender and cooked to perfection - the baked leak and bread pudding was novel and made a tasty accompaniment to it.

    I very much enjoyed our time at Josephine's. It would be great if they had a couple more vegetarian options, because my wife was kind of "meh" regarding the one entree they had available. Still overall, it would be a place to enjoy a fine dining celebration of some sort, but not a place I would regularly go to.

    We had a fabulous time and Tate gave excellent service! The food was incredible and our group felt like we had our own private room! Can’t wait to return!

    We visit Josephine’s frequently. Beautiful place, very friendly establishment, excellent food , fantastic staff and great music Friday and Saturday. Yes, I call this Fine Dining!!

    Probably one of the best restauramts in Lancaster for great food, service and atmosphere. If you are looking for a medium priced experience, you should look elsewhere. But if you like a little upscale, this should be on your list to try.
