Mother’s Day is not the best day to dine out. Very, very crowded and noisy. Servers were extremely pleasant but were having trouble executing quality service. But the manager did adjust our bill because of things we didn’t receive.

Busy Saturday night crowd. Seated 10 minutes after reservation time. Ordered Ahi Tuna salad. It was served with tuna being refrigerated. This was not mentioned at time of ordering. Found that a little unusual. Upon request,they promptly reserved with tuna off grill. Wouuld definitely return. Service was very good and other than Tuna blip, food was very good.

Waitress was extremely rude the entire time. From asking us what we wanted to drink to me walking up to her to ask her about a birthday dessert she proceeded to tell me the scoop of ice cream is free and then I asked if there was any other desserts that are available for purchase and she named them off. When I picked the cookie she said I just want to reiterate that the cookie is NOT free. I told her I understood and she proceeded to say I don’t want there to be any issue with your check. I felt as though she thought we couldn’t afford the dessert. I also didn’t appreciate the attitude we were given when we asked for condiments that weren’t brought to our table when the food arrived. She acted as us being at the restaurant was a huge inconvenience. This was my dad’s birthday dinner and first time at this restaurant. He was not impressed by the service and I was extremely embarrassed that I even recommended this restaurant.

Usually rave about Dawson's but can't this time. Seriously need to do an upgrade on whomever supplies the chicken. Piece was so tough their steak knives could get close to cutting it. It was more like tearing. They were very sweet and supplied another piece which I decided to take home. I decided I'd have that for lunch next day. Same. Tough and with a string of gristle too. But the kicker was chewing something that felt s though it could damage a tooth! There were two small shards of bone. Really, find a much better chicken supplier. On the other hand, ribs are absolutely delicious.

We were seated promptly and waited on as well. Food was yummy and portions were big. We had enough leftover for a lunch. Seafood risotto was delicious and prime rib was good too. The restaurant is just a little dark and dated. We will go back.

We had our Easter dinner at JBDawson's and were very happy with our orders. I splurged on the ribs and barbecued pork with garlic potatoes and it was phenomenal, particularly the ribs. They rivaled and exceeded some of the local places that specialize in them. Husband got the salmon and he too thoroughly enjoyed. Drinks were good too. Service is consistently good and attentive, as is the food. All in all, a very good experience. Ample portions and prices are not too too crazy.

Our waitress was lovely very nice, great customer service, very attentive with making sure our food was good and drinks refilled. Very different from our last experience. Food was amazing worth the price. Will definitely go back again for special occasions.

Really enjoyed this restaurant. The service was excellent! The food was really good! I have a food allergy and my server went the extra mile to ensure that there was no issue with the meal I had chosen. I truly appreciate that as sometimes people assume allergies are just “dislikes”. I would definitely return if I’m back in the area.

Food was generally good but not exceptional. However, the strip steak was aweful: much overdone, dry, chewy, and rather flavorless - very disappointing, considering this is a steak place. Also, the bar didn't have a particular, and somewhat common, liquor, which was another disappointment. I will note that a previous experience at JD Dawson's was really good, which is why we returned to the restaurant. follow-up: I subsequently received a call from the General Manager regarding my review (a nice touch) and we had a pleasant discussion about the matter. I explained my concerns about the quality of the steak I was served and noted that my wife and I had driven 3 hours from Southern Maryland in an effort to replicate a really great steak dinner we'd had at JD Dawson's on a previous occasion. He apologized for the poor quality of the meal and sent me a gift certificate towards another meal. On reflection, and after discussing the issue with the GM and looking at other reviews of the restaurant, I am convinced that our experience this time was a real anomaly and that a future dining experience would be delightful!

We always love our experience here. The restaurant is well managed and the food and service are outstanding. A go-to for special occasions because we are assured our experience will be amazing. The one point I would say is: maybe have a manager present at the front door. Sometimes the young staff manning the list at the host stand are immature and not able to handle the high volume of people coming in the door with professionalism and expedience.

Our appetizer’s, crab dip and cheesesteak egg rolls, weren’t very warm but had a great flavor. Our entrees were excellent. Our server was even better. Just wish they had full tables and not half booth. I’m a pretty big guy. I would recommend.

The food and service at J B Dawsons was and always is exceptional. The food was prepared to perfection. We had not been to this restaurant in over 3 years and the comment at the table was simply ...you can always count on great food at this establishment...it never disappoints.

The food and atmosphere were as good as usual but the service was lacking. Our server could not seem to get the orders straight. Three out of four were wrong and had to go back. And he offered dessert and brought the check when one diner was still eating.

The service was excellent. The food was served on time and in good proportion. Daily specials were well designed. I would recommend for families .

Always a lovely evening at Dawson’s and I appreciate the nice selection of gluten free entrees. Great teamwork among the staff. They were all very nice & attentive.

We love JB Dawson's. It is a little on the up-scale side without being overpriced. The servers work together so there is always someone to help. Food is delicioius. We tend to do our celebrations here.

First time customers who went based on the 100% celiacs rating on a gluten free restaurant website. We made reservations and were taken back right away, and the hostess already had a GF menu with her for my husband. The waitress made sure to ask if this was a preference or an allergy and was knowledgeable, very friendly and we did not have to wait long at all despite how busy they were. Food was excellent. We will definitely be back in the future.

Food was great… my dinner came with 2 sides however, the 2 I picked were extra cost that I wasn’t aware of and the waiter said oops I guess I should have told you about that. Oops… that was your tip money.

It was dinner with family for a quick catch up. We had a cozy booth and an attentive server. Combine that with the great food and it equals a fun night with some laughs.

The food was amazing and the service spectacular. It was our first time dining here, and we will definitely be going back. The menu has a good selection of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and dinners.

We have gone to your restaurant many times. Everything is excellent except one part. The teenagers hostesses are so unprofessional. They rarely greet you kindly and act like they are annoyed they have to stop their conversation to assist customers. Otherwise, everything else is very good.
