Had dinner with a couple of friends on Saturday. The food was delicious, the service was quick, and the ambiance was unassuming but welcoming. This place was obviously a local neighborhood favorite. I will be returning.

Lovely small restaurant conveniently located near Kimmel Center, Academy of music, Ave of the arts theaters. Thai food, attractive presentation. Good meal for the price.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Jasmine Rice. Tom was very attentive and polite. Our food came out in a decent time. And the flavor was outstanding. I definitely will be returning to try the rest of the menu!

With so many great reviews, I expected much more. The issue is the food quality; it's frozen or canned in most cases. Not fresh. The sauces were tasteless and often it was unclear what they actually were.

My friend and I decided to try Jasmine Rice during restaurant week. The service and food were great. The one server was super sweet but she didn’t completely understand what we had ordered, and it was clear when we got iced tea and iced coffee instead of our desserts. My friend and I both ordered the crab nuggets. I wasn’t expecting them to be deep fried, and the dipping sauce didn’t look or taste like plum as described. It was still good. The papaya salad was extremely tasty and the duck was amazing. The custard was served warm, which surprised us, but was still good. My friend really enjoyed her beef brandy. Since I wanted to make sure I had room for everything, I took half of everything, except the dessert home. The chef kept checking in which was nice.

Great little hole in the wall restaurant. Excellent food, nice staff. Very cold inside on a recent frigid night, so dress warmly. Very reasonable prices.

Glad I found this restaurant on Open Table. The food and service were excellent. My husband and I shared the coconut soup, pad thai with with shrimp and the drunken duck. All were very tasty. Nice hidden gem.

Jasmine Rice is a wonderful restaurant. My husband and I liked it so much that we went back for another dinner the next day. The ginger dumplings were delicious , as were both of our entrees. And I can't say enough things about the rice. How special can white rice be, you think? Well at Jasmine Rice, the rice will be the best rice you have ever tasted.

Service and food were mediocre at best. Walked by this place several times and thought it looked cute and unassuming. Sometimes the best food is at the little mom and pop shops. This was not the case. While we didn’t get everything in the menu, I can confidently say that the spring rolls were prepackaged and frozen, and simply fried and tasteless. The Spicy Thai Basil stir fry was not spicy and had zero hint of basil, while the Thai basil fried rice was dry and flavorless. The space was a nice attempt at a family-style and quaint dining room ambience, but the tables and seating were so close together that people couldn’t get by and people kept knocking my chair.

This is what restaurant week is all about. We had not eaten at this restaurant for about twenty years but decided to give it a try for lunch. Everything was very good but the lettuce leaves with chicken were fantastic. I would eat that as an entre if I could. Bottom line is that we will come back soon and perhaps have added another restaurant to our list of rotating favorites.

Our experience at Jasmine Rice was exceptional. The food was delicious and presented very nicely. The owner worked the front of the house and was very accommodating at attentive. We don’t live in the area but if we ever visit Philadelphia again, Jasmine Rice will be a restaurant we would return to for certain.

The food was excellent, servers trying very hard to keep up with Saturday evening crowd. Quiet at 6 pm, very noisy & crowded by 7pm. Meals delivered promptly but we had to wait a while for check. We would definitely eat at Jasmine Rice again.

Several surprising mistakes last time we went including delivering someone else’s dish (bland, had to give me my own spice vs it coming as ordered, other person at another table had to wait for them to remake) and forgetting a drink order. Overall expensive for Thai food, $17-19 for a pad Thai or curry with chicken. There are better Thai places in center city
