Hook & Ladder is the unexpected steakhouse you’d never thought you’d find in the historic, original firehouse of the Washington Fire Company. This is a one-of-a-kind Skybar experience allowing guests a close view of our 149 year old firehouse, bell tower and original stained glass windows. A unique cross between a chop house and Crudo bar, Hook & Ladder features Certified A5 Japanese wagyu beef that will melt in your month. Dry aged Steak offerings including 32 days dry aged Porterhouse (28oz), 32 days aged Tomahawk Ribeye (40oz) that will taste decidedly beefy, much like a rare roast beef, while also taking on subtler hints of other delicious flavors. Crudo uses the Japanese technique of curing the fish making it more tender and flavorful. Finishing it with lime, lemon, and soy; featuring Wild King Salmon, Japanese Madai, Hamachi and more. Enjoy the purest and fresh take on some classic cocktails.

We had a beautiful Mother's Day Brunch for my mom. Jason, our server, was kind and attentive! All staff made it a point to connect and engage in a way that other spaces may ignore. We would love to come back for a general experience outside of a holiday specific event.

Overall it was very good! We didn't check the menu ahead of time and didn't realize that there was no sort of pancakes, waffles, or bagels. In my opinion this was more of a brunch/lunch then a breakfast type brunch. If you have lox you have to have cream cheese and a bagel!! :-)

Setting is very nice - if you haven't figured it out it is an old firehouse. The rugs downstairs are made from old firehouses. Stuff like that throughout. Great for a date night. Food was excellent. Service was also very good. I will be there again.

Beautiful and warmly modern decor. Food was delicious. We ordered steaks. I had filet which was good, not as tender as I would have expected, but still tasty. I gave value two stars bc we ordered the chips with caviar for fun for $48. I could literally count the eggs on the chips. I couldn’t taste anything. That was really disappointing. Other than that serve was good except that perhaps they weren’t smooth with delivery…too many people served the food.

We picked this restaurant for my anniversary dinner with husband!! Beautiful ambience and quiet romantic vibes. Food was delicious and our service was outstanding! We enjoyed the unique place in the remodeled firehouse so it overall was a perfect evening !

The food was amazing. We had the oysters and charcuterie starters and both were delicious. My wife had the scallops and I had the Australian wagyu with foie gras. Both dishes were amazing. The gentleman at the table next to me actually commented as soon as he sat down because he smelled the foie gras and said it smelled amazing. Our server Jason was awesome as well, very friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back again.

Been here twice and food is outstanding, service is excellent, and feels like you are going to a really good quality restaurant downtown without the drive. We started with cocktails, two based on bourbon and one gin and everyone really like them. For dinner, we had the Australian Wagyu, the NY Strip and the Spicy Tuna Bites and they were all 5 stars. The French Onion Soup was so so, some kind of odd flavor in it. We didn't order dessert as we were all very full. We'll be coming back for Happy Hour soon!

Overall, a nice experience. Excellent cocktails. Avoid the Caesar salad (chopped up lettuce, likely out of a bag, and boxed croutons). Australian wagyu with foie gras was excellent, but small portions. Service was slow. Waitress commented slow service related to restaurant computer system issues.

Went as party of 3 for my daughter’s pre-birthday celebration. We loved everything! Cauliflower starter, King salmon, Australian steak (forgot full name), & scallop entrees were all cooked to perfection. We even indulged in dessert: pecan pie, blueberry cheesecake, & crème brûlée were also delicious! Our server, Michelle, was attentive, but not overly so. Her recommendations were spot on too. We will definitely return on the near future!

Amazing experience. This was our first time dining here and we chose this place to celebrate our anniversary. Michelle was beyond an exceptional server. Every suggestion was spot on. Met up with a friend of mine for dinner and good old socializing. For an appy the spinach salad, and cheesesteak egg rolls were selected, and we both had the seared asea scallops for our entree with me swapping the creamed spinach for the carrots, and asparagus for the carrots in the other order. Would definitely order again

Me and my husband went to dinner for our Anniversary, the drinks were good & the food was just mediocre & there was mold on our desert so they took it off our bill, we really should have been comp’d more that just our desert due to the mold which is disgusting, we didn’t realize until we had already started eating it. Wouldn’t come come back.

while the food and our server were outstanding, i took offense to some bouncer or door man asking my dining partner to remove his hat. this isnt lugers or a double eagle. those places actually let you wear anything regardless what their website says.

Excellent service! Bartenders were great! Very experienced! Filet was top notch! Only critique is the creamy spinach wasn’t very creamy but otherwise very good will come again soon!

Our server was great! She was very attentive and friendly. Food was good, but not necessarily Wow. The lobster bisque had good flavor but I found it too salty. Same goes for the braised beef rib. Great flavor but salty. Good selection of mocktails - keep them coming! Loved the restaurant's ambiance. Very inviting, comfortable.

Both the French onion soup and tomahawk were some of the best dishes we’ve ever had! The cocktails were also great and very unique. The building was stunning. Definitely a must go spot!

Beautiful restaurant but disappointed in the food. Very limited menu. Soup was very salty. Salmon carpaccio was very fishy and semi cooked. Very small portions for the price. Caesar salad and crab cakes were good.

Went for Valentine’s Day dinner, prefixe. Cost of prefix was $125, not worth it at all. Food was average quality and often flavorless, too salty or too sweet. Specifically : mushroom soup way too salty, scallop dish was ok, beef was too sugary, lobster risotto was flavorless. We don’t eat dessert so cant really comment, looked good. Ambiance is good, they had a lounge singer who was good and the interior design is somewhat hip if a bit dated. We were seated next to toilet which was a big negative but uncontrollable. Service was very good, really liked waiter and wait staff in general. Big positive. Overall would not recommend unless you are in the area around dinner time. It’s in a newer hotel in conshohocken. I felt ripped off, but maybe their normal menu has better deals. There are a ton of better restaurants in the main line and the city with lower price tags and better food.

This is our second time dining at hook and ladder. I love the ambiance and vibe of the restaurant. The apps were great. The service was great . However both times I had ordered a strip steak and both times the steak was tough. This time I had said something and it was replaced with a filet which was very good. We had ordered a side of creamed spinach which came out after everybody was finished their meal . We will try again

French onion was super salty but other than that everything was top notch. Our server was awesome, drinks were great and our shared steak was incredible
