The decor of Herb & Bitter Public House is a fusion of modern and vintage elements, taking large consideration in using salvaged building materials, antiques and contemporary raw building supplies. A year-round retractable glass conservatory covers the 1000 square foot patio. String lighting illuminates the European café style setting.
The comprehensive spirits program is progressive and centered around Italian Amari. The overall menu concept is diverse and eclectic with seasonal plates . We incorporate many cuisines and world flavors into dishes that are house-made with as many local, and sustainable ingredients as possible; taking into consideration dietary needs such as gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan.

Great spot! Booked a table for our large family group. Service was truly excellent. Food was tasty, enjoyed some of the creative menu options.

We were a large party and they were very accommodating. Great food and drinks. We all enjoyed our night so much.

Drinks were great, food was surprisingly complex and delicious! Huge step up from the pub grub I was expecting.

While the menu looks good on paper, it fails on execution. Unfortunately one of the most disappointing meals we've had in Seattle.

We had our wedding dinner at Herb and Bitter with about 16 of our friends and family. The private area was really nice, and even though it wasn't completely closed off, we still felt like it was a private section for our party. The noise level wasn't an issue at all. The food was AMAZING! The cooking staff did a great job making sure our party was wowed. Thanks again to the cooks! There was some miscommunication between the front of the house and the cooking staff as some of the items we chose for our menu weren't available. The cooks did a great job giving us some other options, but this was frustrating. The drinks were so-so and honestly weren't worth the value paid. The bartenders seemed frustrated with our group and group requests and a good portion of our group were charged more than they anticipated, and weren't given much of an explanation. This put a bit of a damper on our wedding day. However, our server was very nice and accommodating and did a great job. I would visit Herb and Bitter again solely for the food. It was great!

Bar staff were the loveliest! Food tit bits hit the spot (especially the risotto) but it was the interaction with the staff that made the experience that much better!

My friend got fish and ”creamy” polenta. The Polenta was a hard mound 5 times the size of the fish. It was bizarre and not good. The other two dishes we got were so-so. The ambiance was nice and the servers were kind. I would consider returning for drinks and appetizers but don’t think I’d go for dinner again.

Cool vibe and building. Drinks were fun. Food was a little sad for the price. Steak was chewy and definitely more rare than the requested medium. The fries, while somehow still relatively crispy on the outside, were weirdly firm on the inside. My girlfriend tried their special, the rockfish and polenta, which was just fine - edible but nothing to be excited about..

Minh our sever was so attentive and lovely and made the experience overall so much more joyous my friend was going through a breakup and Minh so graciously checked on us on the side to make sure they were okay. Ambiance was great food amazing drinks solid :)
