Service from Tom was outstanding! He was friendly, personable and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious! The scallops were mouthwatering with an amazing sauce. Best in Seattle!!!

Goldfinch saved our Mother’s Day! After one of the worst experiences at a private club in Seattle earlier in the day, we made our way down to goldfinch for one of the better experience of the year!

Second year in a row going to goldfinch for Mother’s Day Brunch, and once again, excellent experience. Service was great. The buffet and entrees were fantastic. And the dessert was amazing! We’ll be back.

Location is great. Service was a little slow. Food was average at best. My Caesar salad was wilted and lettuce was turning sore. Scallops were gritty. Would only come back for a cocktail. Overpriced.

Delicious food. Loved my crab and beet salad. Very good service. Prices are high for the amount of food you get but overall a very enjoyable dining experience.

Two people, eating light…we chose two bowls of clam chowder, two appetizers, plus a glass of wine and a very small Margarita. Bill came to $162. The food was good but not worth the price we paid. I must say the service was excellent. But due to pricing, would not eat here again

It was a very uneven experience with some good and some bad. The halibut was excellent; the pork chop was fine but nothing an average cook couldn't have made at home. The accompaniments ranged from very good (although not fabulous) to nearly inedible. The worst side was the nettle, which was so chewy as to be nearly inedible. The morels with sauce were fine but nothing special; same with the asparagus. The banana dessert was very good but could have been better - there were three small slices, and the overall taste was good but not amazing. Worst of all was the potato sourdough bread. It is a round loaf with a very hard crust. That could've been okay but it was cut in half rather than in slices, so unless you want to tear it up with your hands or teeth it was hard to eat - we spent a lot of effort hacking at it. On the plus side it came with an excellent olive spread - one of the better aspects of the meal. Overall the experience was disappointing because the mediocrity of most of it (not to mention some hard-to-eat items) did not justify the astronomical price. In terms of ambience, it could've been quite nice I also downgraded that somewhat because a couple of issues that were not the restaurant's fault impacted our time there. The worst was that four women came in and sat nearby who were so overly perfumed that it took away from our food enjoyment. In addition, again, not the restaurant's fault but what should've been an outstanding view was impacted sunset at dinnertime - mandating pulling down the shades to prevent direct sunlight. As mentioned earlier, given the astronomical price it was a disappointing experience, with lots of good but lots of misses.

The service was phenomenal, especially since we had two 2 year-olds with us. Lots of delightful touches for the kids - booster seats already in the booth, "Lego" stackable silverware, and the kids' breakfasts is honestly a great value. Toddler dining isn't always the most enjoyable, and I'm sure it's a headache for restaurants, but we felt so well taken care of and will definitely be back as a result.

I think they included tip and did not tell me. My bill was 450 for two people. Seems way too high

I recently stayed at the Four Seasons and enjoyed a couple of meals at Goldfinch Tavern while I was there. The food was delicious but unfortunately both times we ate there service was extremely slow. I would expect better service for a restaurant in the Four Seasons. Everything else was wonderful!

Great restaurant with variety of choices for guests with special dietary needs. At the bar… red wines by the glass are too warm to enjoy (and quite expensive)

At the end of the day, it's not bad for a hotel restaurant. But if you are expecting it to be exceptional because it is an Ethan Stowell, expect to be disappointed

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely relaxed lunch on a gray and rainy day prior to visiting an exhibit at the Seattle Art Museum. I selected the lunch special: a duck confit salad that included some tasty fermented-style cabbage. It seemed Provençal so I paired it with a nice dry rose’ from Provence. My spouse ordered the salmon salad which he reported was perfectly prepared. Our server was friendly, attentive and elegant. We’ll be back.

Food and service was good but we were a part of two coming separately. Even though I told them that the other person will be coming in few minutes under my reservation, they had us both sit at the two end of the restaurant. After around 15+ minutes later, we were able to connect ourselves only to realize that the staff did not pay any attention to the guests. We wasted a lot of time just waiting and not able to complete the discussion and meeting.

Fantastic restaurant from food to service. Chef was able to accommodate our dietary restrictions (GF and dairy free) perfectly making a memorable night.

While overall we enjoyed our dining experience it was not to the level we anticipated. The recommended attire was either "smart casual" or "sharp casual" - don't recall now. Most guests were dressed down from that considerably and it was a bit noisy as we sat by a window that was adjacent to the bar. The service was a bit slow and check backs were limited. We both liked our meals, but they did not approach "outstanding". We were due at our next engagement and I had to request the bill in order to make it on time. We don't get opportunities to dine out in higher class restaurants very often and I think our visit was a bit of a let down from our expectations and a bit over priced relative to that experience.

We visited on Valentines Day, looking forward to ordering from their ambitious menu. We were disappointed to be presented with a very limited, and expensive prix-fixe menu. Fortunately, our waiter suggested ordering from the happy hour menu, and we noticed that the couples around us did the same. My wife and I watch our diets and eat only salads and healthy entrees; three-course prix-fixe menus don’t appeal to us.

Goldfinch never disappoints. I tried the Cioppino, and it was excellent. My wife had the Dungeness Crab cocktail which was also outstanding. We share a bottle of Pahlmeyer Sauvignon Blanc which was a perfect complement with our meal. Our waiter, John, was outstanding as usual!

Excellent service. Less than average food. Gin martini with hardly any gin and weird lemon twist. 5 bites of cold duck served on ice cold plate resulting in lukewarm entree swimming in over sauced mashed potatoes. All this for the bargain price of $56 plus included 20% service charge and another 5% charge for underpaid servers and dishwashers. I know things are tough in Seattle, but Four Seasons can afford to suck it up and not pass through their woes to the customers.

Great meal! My wife and I loved it. That said $500+ is very pricey for an after concert meal. It is unfortunate as it simply reinforces the idea that one should not go out to dinner in Seattle anymore.

The cocktail list was very tequila and whisky heavy, and overpriced. Non-alcoholic drinks have the option to add alcohol and the one my wife had was better than my fancy manhattan. The vegan menu options were delicious and decent value. We shared burrata, bread service and crispy avocado salad (delicious). For mains, my wife had the spaghetti with smoked wild mushrooms, wine and butter which was delicious. I had the vegan pasta with Calabrian chili and tomatoes, which was delicious. Dessert was tiramisu - decent but not amazing. Service was friendly and attentive with good wine recommendations. Not a cheap date spot ($100+ pp) but I could see myself coming here once or twice a year for special occasions.

Beautiful place to enjoy brunch. The food was so so tasty and they have a separate plant based menu for any vegetarians or vegans. I would recommend to anyone visiting Seattle!
