Le General Warren est un Bed & Breakfast ainsi qu'un restaurant servant une cuisine américaine continentale dans un bâtiment historique construit en 1745 avec une touche de style contemporain. Les membres du personnel de l'établissement préparent les spécialités du menu directement à votre table à l'heure de souper en offrant également un service très attentionné dans une pièce éclairée de bougies et réchauffée grâce à différents foyers. On y retrouve aussi la taverne "The Warren Tavern" qui met en vedette un menu à bas prix ainsi qu'un menu complet, tout cela disponible sans réservation. Les Happy Hour se déroulent entre 16h30 et 18h30 du lundi au vendredi. Vous pourrez commander une bière à moitié prix, un verre de vin à 5 USD ou obtenir 2 USD de rabais sur toutes les autres boissons pour adultes. Les prix sont également réduits sur certains éléments du menu de nourriture Happy Hour. Un bar complet et une liste de vins internationaux vous sont proposés dans cet établissement. Vous avez la possibilité de déguster votre repas en plein air sur la terrasse du restaurant "The Springhouse Terrasse" et ce, durant toute l'année. Very nice restaurant with wonderful ambiance. We sat on the enclosed porch, which is a beautiful small room. The food was excellent and the staff very courteous.

Absolutely wonderful meal and evening! The selection of entrees was spot-on, appealed to all appetites. No other place quite like it, the fine dining experience and gentle environment. Service very attentive and friendly!

Our family favorite! General Warren is our go to for special occasions. For Mother's Day menu, they created a special selection of entrees, starters (appetizers and salads), wines by the bottle/glass, desserts and more. I chose a Riesling (glass) and enjoyed the fruity, slightly sweet flavors with the warm rolls and butter brought to the table. We each were more than satisfied with our entree: chicken with asparagus, crab cake, and mine was the Scottish salmon with roasted carrot and lentils. The dishes were beautifully plated and the flavors and freshness was outstanding. For dessert we each chose: limoncello cake slice, marbled key lime cheesecake, and vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce and strawberries. All were delicious and presented with an extra touch of sliced lemon, lime, etc... The staff was attentive and the ambience in the room was nicely brightened by daylight and attractive chandeliers. Each room has its own unique feel and we have enjoyed the main dining room and well as the porch area (tables for two). We always recommend General Warren to our friends for a special dinner!

Took my mom here for Mother's day and she had a great time! Waitstaff were insanely fast and friendly, my mom liked that they had a special themed cocktail for the occasion and couldn't stop raving about the food, the fireplace was lovely and the noise level wasn't so much that we couldn't hear each other (which I feel like is really hard to find nowadays). Would definitely recommend, especially for the fancier events.

We had an absolutely wonderful dinner at this restaurant /Inn. We were entertaining our neighbors, it was the first time they had been here and they were absolutely blown away with the venue, the extensive menu, the quality of food, the presentation, and how tasty the food was. Most notably was the beet salad which was so unusual and extremely delicious and the lamb shoulder – that was nothing like we had expected. It was so tasty and absolutely awesome. The chocolate crunch & cheesecake were scrumptious desserts and a perfect ending to a very memorable meal. Our server Tom had a wonderful sense of humor and he made our entire evening for us. He was also extremely attentive and described certain dishes on the menu so well that we ended up ordering them and absolutely loved it. So thank you Tom for making it an extremely enjoyable evening !!!

Lovely, chill Sunday evening dinner. The Beef Wellington is excellent as is steak au poivre. Hearty mashed potatoes with skins are extra good as is wine list. We had a very nice bordeaux that was not over-priced! Also recommend the cheesecake. Friendly, efficient service and perfect country inn vibes.

We had a family dinner to celebrate 3 birthdays and a retirement. The service and food were excellent. What especially pleased me is that the chef was very accommodating of my allium allergy, which is not always the case when I dine out. I will definitely return often.

We had extremely high expectations about the General from people telling us about it and reviews. Only place I could find with Beef Wellington on the menu. Knew it would be pricey but I accepted that. The cocktails were mediocre honestly. Liquors were top shelf but the red40 cherries were a surprise. No idea if our waitress was too busy but she was very short and we felt a bit rushed. Nice though. Would have appreciated sitting in the main dining room to experience the fabled “ambiance” instead of the tiny front room as well. I could have done without the ladies at the next table talking politics the whole time. Not sure why they sat us there. Food was amazing for sure aside from the very last bite of halibut that seemed a bit undercooked.

Wonderful experience. Made reservation for my father in law's 85th birthday dinner. Our server, Bryan was excellent, attentive, friendly. The ambience was calm and relaxing. The food was excellent. 5/5. Would definitely recommend.

Food was amazing, especially the Wellington. The cocktails were good, and well valued. Service was average, from the hostess and waitress although they were very busy on this Saturday night, so I am assuming that is why. Ambiance was very nice, would go back overall.

Great food. Wonderful cocktails and the ambiance was fabulous. My steak au poivre was done to perfection. We arrived early so that we could sit at the bar and have a cocktail, just be warned that the bar fills up quickly. One of our favorite restaurants.

I am someone who has multiple food allergies. The waiter and the Chef were really helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure all the food was safe for me to eat. My date and I had a great experience.

The food was a bit salty across 3 of the 4 dishes. The service was great. I must have no read the menu clearly enough but was suprised when the lamb was shredded and served over orzo. Not what I expected and not very satisfying.

We had a wonderful dinner. Great service. We were taken to our table as soon as we walked in. Everyone was professional and courteous. We had the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection. The entire experience was very enjoyable.

First time here and it did not disappoint. Great, historic building, excellent staff and service and the food was delicious. We had the snapper turtle soup, mesclun salad, filet mignon, meatloaf sandwich and striped bass. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection.

Very limited choices on dinner menu. Most entrees were expensive with small portions. Nothing special worth the inflated prices. Hopefully Seasonal changes will improve the selections in the future. Main dining room had an awful odor due to dirty fireplace. Adversely affected the taste of the food and left our clothes smelling like we had been in a smoking section. Service was friendly and prompt.

We enjoyed Easter dinner at the General Warren. The server was attentive and the meal was very good. We especially appreciated how reservations were timed so the kitchen and wait- staff could manage a very busy day.

Great Easter brunch, service was amazing and so helpful. We ate downstairs "outside" next to the fireplace and it was wonderful. We ended up at one point being the only ones down there as they were waiting to be seating a large reservation. A must try
