An ambience of relaxation brought to life in a 6 seat sushi counter. Savor Edomae Style Sushi through an Omakase course delicately crafted by Seiji Fujiwara.

Two seatings of Omakase, Thursday-Sunday, starting at 5:30 and 7:30 respectively.
Wednesdays offer a limited number of walk-in customers from 5:00-6:00 and a single Omakase seating at 7:00.

Please note that there is no sign outside to indicate our restaurant. Enter through the doors of New Zen Japanese Restaurant and proceed straight to the sushi counter ahead. The 6 seat sushi bar you will see is Fujiwara.

Additionally, there is a parking lot next to the building that is available for all customers. We are looking forward to your visit.

Amazing omakase experience. The cost was comparable to most omakase experiences. Definitely a once in awhile or special occasion meal. Fuji and his wife were very attentive and took the time to explain each course. Very fresh ingredients. The sake and beer were a bit pricey but paired so well with the food. The restaurant itself can be a little hard to find since they share space with another restaurant and the name "Fujiwara" isn't displayed on the outside of the building. Overall a great experience with great quality food!

Chef Fujiwara and his wife were personable and informative. The omakase was beautiful and delicious. It’s unfortunate that this was my first omakase experience because my expectations will now be so high for any other omakase experiences. Chef Fujiwara has set a high bar.

A hidden gem with superb sushi. Chawanmushi was top 5, great fish quality from Japan and intimate dining with the best husband and wife duo.

It was wonderful experiences with chef fujiwara. Food was fantastic with fujiwara’s description of fish and his wife’s side dishes were very tasty. I thought sharing with table with strangers were a bit comfortable however they were very friendly and had an enjoyable time with them too. Overall his hospitality and humor added to a whole experience.

My husband and I had a wonderful time dining here on Wednesday. Fuji, the chef, and his wife and his son Ryo, who was helping them out while on his Spring Break, provided a warm and cozy atmosphere and amazing service to our Omakase meal. Fuji did a great job explaining all the different cuts of fish and seafood he was preparing, and every dish tasted so fresh and delicious. I’m still dreaming about the Toro, mackerel and uni that we ate. You could tell that he had a lot of pride in serving you with this fresh fish flown in from Japan, using the housewares and plates from his hometown. My husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed the experience and loved that it was a small setting, which were only six guests in total so that we could have a more personal experience with Fuji and his family. And we both agreed that compared to other Omakase places that we’ve tried all around the US, this ranks up there in our top three and the best in Seattle even compared to Shiro’s and others here. Overall, we can’t wait to come back and dine here again. 😊

Chef was so nice and knowledgeable. He share so much useful information but was very personable as well. The food was so fresh and flavorful. Such a fun and amazing experience.

Fujiwara is an exceptional omakase experience. We had the later seating, which meant that the restaurant that Fujiwara is located in (New Zen) was closed, and only the 6 seats for omakase attendees were taken. It made for an intimate and personalized dinner. The chef and owner is quite personable and interactive, not only in describing each course (whether one of the 12 nigiri courses or additional small bites), but also in asking questions of the guests and getting folks to share with each other. His wife contributes in the food preparation and conversation as well. The fish was exquisite, and the attention to quality and detail is top of the line. The dishes are hand made pottery from Japan. The sake options were delicious and reasonably priced. We can't wait to go back!
