    If I have just one complaint about Firebirds it would be that the service was a bit rushed at sit down. Just got back from Ireland and England...they so it right. They take a drink order, deliver the drinks and leave..mand don't come back until it looks like a second drink might be wanted. Their return question is always would you like another drink. This leaves the door open for the diner to say yes or they would like to order. Here, they ask you if you are ready to order regardless of whether it appears that you haven't even looked at the menu. US restaurants should take a lesson.

    We decided on Firebirds for a birthday celebration. There were 5 of us. Ordered drinks and food, all was well. Food was delivered and all entrees were over cooked. Steaks were over temp requests and salmon was as well.

    We have had good prior visits, but not this time. We received very good service, being led to our seats promptly and attended to by our server shortly after. The bread was good, fresh and warm from the oven (warming or real, we don't know). My glass of pinot noir was cold, as was the glass it was in. Not that it was bad; just that it's not usually supposed to be served cold. It was tasty though! My salad was really nice. Then came the downturn: the main course. The honey garlic chicken was dry, with WAYYY too much spice. Too much garlic, too much pepper; the chicken resembled "blackened" it was so spicy. We both usually like tater tots; thought we'd be safe with that. While these were crispy; they must have had a salt bath. Arid salty. My husband had the sirloin steak which was also way too salty and chewy. Suggestion: How about cook without salt and let diners add their own to taste. Sauces sered on het side as well. If and when there is a next time, I think I may stick with a BLT salad and see what kind of soup they have that night. Hubby just says, for the money, we could do better going elsewhere. Look, I know it's called Fire-birds, not Bland-birds, but it really should be tamed a bit.

    We were able to sit outside, and obviously that helped with the noise level remaining low. The food is consistently very good, and our server was appropriately attentive.
