We were outside for happy hour and didn’t have to sit at the bar like most places. They were out of what I wanted but the waitress suggested something else which wasn’t as good as what I wanted but it was still ok.

I had something different there this time and it was a vegan dish and very good. We sat at the bar and the entire experience was nice.

They were out of a lot of food and even some drinks. Not sure how you run out of so much stuff especially knowing it was mothers day. Waitress was super nice but in a rush handed me a drink as it spilled all over the table and didn't even bring napkins. Drinks were not good (tried two margaritas) out of the other drink I ordered. Food was just ok. Not somewhere I'd return to again :(

This was our first visit and we really enjoyed it. The wings and barria tacos were delicious and we appreciated the gluten free options. Jake our server was awesome and the live music was very enjoyable! I have already purchased 2 gift cards.

We specifically made reservations to dine for cinco de mayo. After waiting 10 minutes for a waitress to come greet us, my husband asked what the specials were. Our waitress abruptly said “there are no specials” I then said to my husband “ok we will get a pitcher” again the waitress was rude and said “no pitchers it’s too busy” If the only food and drink specials are offered outside, then the regular menu should be offered inside. Despite seeing multiple servers in our area, our waitress was nowhere to be found. Our food was brought except my husbands. She stated she would be right back. The food did not disappoint. Our server disappointed us. Dining out is not cheap so there’s an expectation of good service when you eat out. I understand it’s a busy day and service may be slower due to that but the way our server spoke to us set the tone for the meal.

I have been a couple times before in the passed few years and liked it a lot as a casual place I can take my family to. I have found that the quality and experience has gone done. Hopefully they bounce back. Everything was just barely okay. Not terrible, but not better than you can do at home.

We were there on Cinco de Mayo so the noise and general mood were festive. Food was very good. Drinks were cool. Service was excellent.

We were there in a group of 6. It was quiet when we arrived but got busier and louder as we were leaving. The service was excellent along with the food. We had a wonderful experience but as the place gets busier it does get louder and there was music group setting up as we were leaving. Overall, I would recommend El Barrio to anyone that likes good Mexican cuisine, but if you enjoy quiet ambience go early and do not stay for the entertainment.

Saturday was woefully understaffed. We don’t blame the servers, they seemed overwhelmed, did their best. Food is always good. The acoustics are truly awful, any live music there is a headache. Nothing to do with performers. They need to figure out a different set up, or modify something. You cannot hear anyone speak, and the music sounds like a riotous cacophony. Their inside to go craft beer store was unmanned. They previously always alternated craft beers on tap. Now they seem to have introduced a fixed laminated menu. Offerings same a couple months apart . Been going here occasionally for 8 years , these things seem recent . Hopefully temporary . Pricing is excellent, still.
