Great meal and service. Curtis was excellent and attentive. Not a fan of the mandatory surcharge, but life goes on. Will come again.

Service from the waiter was so-so. Food was ok. Those filling water glasses, etc were great. It’s like what everyone thought might happen with the mandatory 20% gratuity is happening: no reason to provide great service. I would have left 20% anyway… but it makes me reconsider where to go for a great steak when it’s costing me $600+ for three people. You expect both great food AND great service at those prices.

Great food and service. Spent over $500 for lunch for 3 people. We ordered 2 appetizers, 3 mains and 1 dessert. 3 glasses of wine and 1 Diet Coke.

The gentleman at the front check in as well as the manager were very nice!! We were there for a special occasion and the manager told our server to make sure we were well taken care of. Sadly, I felt anything but special at this dinner. While the calamari was excellent and I would recommend to anyone that went there, the rest of our food was lacking. Our server barely checked on us. Our steak that we ordered Medium came out medium well to well done. All I could taste was the burnt, outside layer. I thought it was odd that our server didn’t ask us to cut into our steaks to make sure they were cooked okay, especially since he asked his other table to do that. He continually checked on them, but again, not us. I don’t know if it was because they were drinking alcohol, which significantly increases the amount of the check, and we weren’t, or if it was something else but I was so extremely disappointed. I’m a stay at home mom, who homeschools my child, and I have a husband in the military who is always gone. I RARELY get to go out for an evening. This was the first time in 4 years that I made plans for a night out with my sister. We wanted to have a nice dinner before the comedy show we were going to see, and I have never been so disappointed. My husband sous vides steaks from the grocery store that tasted better than the burnt steak we had here. Our bill was $265, which I don’t mind paying for an excellent meal, but our Taco Bell that we had AFTER the show was better. This was my first and last time to Daniel’s Broiler.

We usually go to Jak's but the Laurelhurst restaurant closed and Alki and Issaquah are just too far for us so we thought we would try Daniels. Our server started out great, but it went downhill from there. Forgot several items and I had to flag down another server as our server was chatting with a table for over 5 minutes. Not taking orders, just chatting. Cocktails were good and the salads were pretty good. Once the steaks came they were just OK. We both ordered NY steaks and they had no flavor! I am not a salt each bite person but both steaks needed salt. Fortunately, we ordered steak sauces because without it they had no flavor. The asparagus were beautiful but only lukewarm and the brussels sprouts were way over cooked. You couldn't even tell they were brussels sprouts! The 20% tip is automatically charged to the bill as a service charge, but you can also tip additional. It's evident our server knows there will be a tip no matter what so why work any harder. $400 dinner for 2 and it was a subpar experience. We won't be going back. Hopefully Jak's will open another restaurant in Seattle soon.

Attended for my bday. It was a great dinner! Steak was cooked to perfection! All the sides were well seasoned. The garlic mashed potatoes were some of the best I’ve ever ate. Service is second to none!

The food was great. Steaks done perfectly and the sides were nice. The Brussel sprouts were a nice change from the traditional. The star of the show were the mushrooms. However, with a final bill of $500 for 2 people I would like to see some updates. The tables and chairs have the finish wearing off. The leather seats are well worn- so much so they look dirty. (There were crumbs on our seats as well unfortunately). I don’t regret going, but for $500 I expected a nicer setting.

The quality of the food is outstanding, service is exceptional, great location and view of Lake Union. While this was an enjoyable dinner it is a very expensive. If cost of the final bill is not a consideration you will have a lovely evening.

The thing about Daniel’s is it’s always good, but is it REALLY worth the cost? Four people, 3 cocktails total, one entree each, and one appetizer, no dessert. $700. I’m not sure that little medallions of meat need to be $190 for one plate. The 20 year old that got that was still hungry after. Even for a special occasion, I’m thinking we are done with them.

Crab legs were salty I could barely eat them! My husband ordered a steak and we had to take it back because it was tough when we asked for medium. But the desserts were excellent! I just won’t be back after waiting a year to come visit this establishment again on a Seattle visit and was so disappointing.

Steak ordered medium rare came well done, steak ordered medium by my guest came well done. Guest needed to head for plane and service was a bit slow due to something in the back having to do with Caviar, which held up our oysters. But also made waiting for another steak dicey timewise. I've come here often. But I have to say all the steakhouses in Seattle seem to have cratered. I can't recommend them anymore.

We celebrated our daughter’s birthday at Daniel’s Lake Union. We requested a table with a view and were seated along the windows overlooking the water on a gorgeous night. Our server Curtis was great, the food was great and we had a wonderful evening:). We had a variety of appetizers and entrees and everything came out on time and tasting delicious.

Daniel's is my favorite special occasion restaurant. It never disappoints. Last night, we tried the lobster bisque with our meal, absolutely amazing. The service is always impeccable and the ambience is so comfortable and relaxing.

Food was good, steak was a bit chard. Plus the bus boy kept coming around to often and took our plates Whoo we were still eating. He kept stopping at our table over and over again. We had to stop conversations multiple times to say we were not done yet It was odd

I am not happy with either the giving a credit card in advance to hold the reservation, nor in the automatic 20% service fee. Had I not already invited the guest, I would not have booked here. Otherwise a good place. Wines are pricey, food generally expensive. Can be quite noisy. I have been there many times. Likely my last given the first two issues.

Food and Service were top-notch (as usual at any Daniel's). Ambience and Noise levels were also very good, just right for a weeknight dinner. I rated the value "low" or "lower" than past visits. It's been some time since this particular work colleague and I have been to Daniel's, but we have done so many times pre-Covid. We ordered roughly the same meals this time as in pre-Covid visits but were really surprised at the total cost - significantly higher. To be fair, the bottle of wine was a bit more than past (+$50), but all other food/drink same. Guess we chalk it up to inflation. It's disappointing, but long-term will not keep me away (maybe fewer future visits).

Excellent experience all the way around. Service was tops, my porterhouse was the best steak I have tasted in years, and my Hendricks Martini was superb. Cannot wait to return!

From the time we walked in to the time we were done with dinner, we were treated like royalty. The wait staff was amazing. And of course, the food was top notch.

Waitress was wonderful. So friendly and very attentive. Food was fabulous. Loved the view of Lake Union. One of our favorite restaurants to go to. We’ll be back. They even gave us a free dessert for my birthday.

I treated my clients to dinner last night and had a 20% gratuity added, in my case that added tip was about $150.00. That's a big tip since we only had one server. I did not appreciate the attempt to explain away my $150.00 tip as some kind of service fee that goes to the millionaire owners, as if they did not make enough profit on a $700.00+ meal and drinks? Instead they hit me with an "Additional Gratuity Line" and in front of my clients I felt obligated to add $20.00 more, but WHY? I would have much preferred to just tip extra on my own, based on the service, and I don't mind the 20% mandatory tip. What was egregious and the first I have ever seen in my lifetime is insinuation that my $150.00 tip did NOT go to my server and so I had to tip her even more? C'mon guys! This seems like greed. Your prices were certainly high enough to earn the owners a profit without having to take my gracious tip away from my server. And then guilt me for more money. Shameful.

The service was incredible. We’ve had really great dining experiences in the past but this one was just “ok”. My steak wasn’t cooked enough and they promptly took it back to let it cook a few more minutes. The issue was that when I got it back the outside was charred. The burnt taste ruined the steak for me.
