Excellent food for all in my party but service was terrible. We waited 25 minutes for a server and then it just got worse. I ordered a glass of wine that I never received. In reviewing the bill it seems she never ordered it. Super sad service for what could have been a perfect experience

Mother's Day Brunch was wonderful. Everything was delicious. They were very busy, but not packed and that made it more enjoyable. Service was excellent.

We enjoyed our food but I did order a salad without the pickled onions and it came with pickled onions so I had to pick them off (I choose not to send it back because we were going to a show and I was worried about how long it would take).

Sampled the English Onion Soup, Crab Deviled Eggs, Wings and the classic Fish and Chips. All items served hot, with great presentation and most importantly - delicious. Prices and portions are about where you'd expect them to be - with two glasses of wine - and tip got out for less than $100. Host, Wait and Kitchen teams working together - all good. Did not get to sample anything at the bar - which was still bustling at 09:30 on Thursday night - might have to add that option for a night cap next time.

We got together with a group of friends ate in the library. It was an excellent evening evening, relaxing really enjoyed ourselves and the food was delicious.

4 of us met at the Crown Tavern for Lunch and had a wonderful experience. Our server got everything right, asked if we needed anything else, and asked how we wanted the check split. The food was very good: deviled eggs, hummus, steak sandwiches, and the Chicken Vesuvius Special. No one had room for dessert.

Good place. The food and service was good. It was a little loud but there was a big party in the room where we were. I would recommend and go back.

Very nice space, service was friendly but inattentive. Fish in fish and chips was good. Chips were frozen wedges nothing special. Tartar sauce and mushy peas served with it were both excellent. Would go back to try other dishes but wasn’t “wowed”.

The menu changes are a bit disappointing. There a few to no GF options - or they need to be more obvious. Also not being a meat eater there were few GF meat free options. Our meal was delayed due to a wifi issue with our server’s ordering screen. She apologized and understandable but one of our meals took 10 minutes longer than everyone else. At this point I think we should have been compensated.

We had dinner here on a Saturday night and the restaurant was packed with patrons. The bar was incredibly loud, as was the main dining room. Several large tables created a din that made casual conversation nearly impossible. The menu was an interesting combination of English pub and steakhouse fare with a few Indian dishes to boot. My beef and lamb stew and my wife’s crab cake entrees were tasty enough but not noteworthy. I think there’s better options nearby with less of a circus atmosphere.

We went on a Sunday for my daughter’s birthday dinner. The food was decent, but pricey. The cocktails were unfortunately not great (maybe the bar tender had a bad night). We sat in the bar which was super noisy. If we go back, we’ll definitely request the dining room.

The onion soup was excellent. After that not good at all. I had the roast beef. There were large pieces of fat in the sandwich. The long roll was cut in half. One half of the sandwich was very little meat. The other half was packed. Not well made. It was not edible. My wife had the Southampton fish burger. The sandwich was soggy. All the breading basically fell off. We have been here several times. Some meals have been good and others not so much. It’s a shame because this area could use a good pub style eatery. Not sure we will be going back.

Very popular restaurant, great pub menu, big portions, very good beer brewed on site. Downside is the noise level is very loud and service is slow - probably dealing with the same staffing issues that all restaurants are dealing with.. We’ll definitely go back, but most likely during off peak times!

Drinks were less than desirable. Server seemed to be overwhelmed with tables. Waited 20 mins between first drinks and apps being dropped to hear from the server again. Entrees were awful and sent one dish back and got the other to go to doctor up at home. Took server a long time to check in after first course was on the table. The dish we sent back, the server agreed it was gross and hesitated to warn us when we ordered it. Feedback from the server would have been nice when we ordered it. Would not recommend the cavatelli with shishito. Also weird to see menu items with “autumn” in the name in April. We are full into Spring at this point. Two seasons behind is a bit much.

First time at The Crown. It’s very nice inside. Service was good. Food was really good. Only thing keeping me from 5 stars is the noise level. We sat in the middle dining room fortunately. The bar area seemed much noisier. But overall a fun experience!

From the music when we walked in, to the service and the meal, it was wonderful! Welcomed by music from Yes, Genesis and other classic rock favs, our waiter was on the ball and we all enjoyed the menu choices! Lovely restaurant, we’ll be back!

Our first time going since it opened. We went with another family. Very kid friendly. The food was great i definitely recommend trying their Indian inspired dishes they were fantastic and I normally wouldn’t have ordered it if it wasn’t for our servers recommendation. Cocktail and beer menu was also great. We had a nice family dinner and will make this our new go to spot. Very happy we stopped in.

Always a great experience! Reservation time was honored, no waiting, food was served hot with no delays, Pinot Grigio was presented in a chilled glass. What’s not to love! Thank you to The Crown for a lovely evening, cheers! Reservations are highly recommended, this hidden gem is becoming more and more popular, not surprised!

Excellent food, service and cocktails. We dined on the outdoor covered patio. Very nice setting. Great place to meet friends from the Granite Run area, Southern Chester County or Delaware.

First time to Crown Tavern. Went with friends. Wanted fish and chips - they were great and totally enjoyed the amazing spinach and feta hummus appetizer too! We will definitely visit again!!

The soho nachos were great, you can tell the tortillas are made in house! Service was okay, the server was nice and polite. Our entrees were too salty. We both got the bangers and mash. The gravy, mashed potatoes, and kale were too salty. The dessert was good but a little. The lemon olive oil cake comes with salted butter on the plate. If you eat the cake with just the strawberries it tastes better.

I brought my Scottish friend to the Crown for her first visit. She loved the menu, then tried the food which she really loved and the service was excellent! She cannot wait to bring her husband to the Crown! Excellent overall!!

English pub food, which offers more choice than you might imagine. Sandwiches, entrees, curry dishes. The English onion soup is very flavorful and cheesy. The fish in the fish & chips was so moist and flaky. They even have a chicken dish that resembles a parmigiana but with a rose sauce instead of straight marinara, which my wife loved. We will be back.
