Un lieu de rencontre dynamique de fête ou un souper intime exclusivement pour deux; le ORU. C'est l'endroit idéal pour savourer la nourriture du Nord-Ouest et les saveurs de la région du Pacifique. Un immense comptoir en marbre et en inox compose une cuisine à aire ouverte où s'exécutent les membres de l'équipe sous les yeux des convives. First time dining at the Botanist, certainly won't be the last! Went for Sunday brunch and it was amazing and such a deal. Set menu with various items to choose from, either 2 or 3 course, which includes two boozie drinks if you so desire. The overall experience was fantastic from the host greeting, to the waitstaff - what one would expect from an establishment of this caliber.

The food was very mediocre . Our server was great and attentive . Their burger costs 37 bucks !!! Their Caesar Salad is anything but Caesar salad ! They try too hard to make things look different and fancy . Their beef tartare was not bad but lacked the usual beef tartare taste ! Instead of focusing on presentation too much maybe they should focus on how their food tastes ! Altogether a 6/10

Had the chef’s tasting menu and was impressed by the development of flavors and complexity from one course to the next. Was delighted for the Uni risotto and the aged duck. Wine pairing was worth it. Service from Larry was excellent, and the Soms were charismatic. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing and fun! Couldve stayed all night sad it was only a quick stop before another dinner reservation. If youre going for a quick drink you have to ask for the bar! Larger menu and bar exclusive cocktails!

We had their tasting menu as it it came highly recommended by friends. In general, the food and presentation was excellent. The wine pairing was done so beautifully. Glad we are staying at the hotel so we are not driving afterwards. The service form the sommelier was excellent and would recommend choosing the more expensive wine pairing option. For those looking for a 5 course meal or to celebrate a special occasion, this is an excellent choice. The food portions are just enough that we do not feel too full or heavy after a 5 course meal. However, we are unlikely to return as our server (Avital) was unfortunately became a distraction to our meal. We dined at the Botanist 3 times during our stay and other servers were professional for breakfast and lunch. Our server at dinner had an unfriendly attitude and did not provide information needed for our tasting menu. Dishes served were not introduced properly and in general service was quite rough. I recommend Botanist to either enhance their staff training in customer service or look into improvements in proper staffing.

Had the best experience, from the moment the hostess greeted us to the end of our meal. We got a beautiful private room and our server jayzee was amazing. He’s been our server a few times and he’s always a vibe! Can’t wait for our next brunch!

Best brunch experience I’ve had in a long time! Menu is fantastic. High quality dishes and cocktails, and a lively ambience - what more could you ask for! I highly recommend.

Amazing food and incredible service! I believe our server was named Brandon and top 3 servers I've ever had.. checked in with us regularly without hovering, timed courses perfectly for our needs, super knowledgeable about recommendations, was so great! Food was so delicious, the tasting menu is a must for an unforgettable meal with incredible modifications for vegetarian needs as well- SO appreciated! Thanks for a fantastic experience!

Our hostess, severs and food delivery staff were excellent, albeit that some do need to talk more succinctly when there is a pianist next to us - we couldn't hear the explanations of the food dishes very well when each dish arrived.

Food was great but it was a little loud as the brunch seems to be popular with groups and we were seated right next to a bridal shower table. Service was excellent though. Our server and the manager really made us feel cared for.

This restaurant was absolutely stunning from beginning to finish. I took my wife for her birthday on a Saturday evening. We chose to partake in the tasting menu with the wine pairing. This consisted of a 6 course meal and we were asked if we wished to be surprised by each dish-which we elected to do as we have no allergies and decided to leave it to the chef. Their team of sommeliers were excellent as they described the wines to us and how they would pair with the surprise of not knowing what our next dishes would be. Not to ruin the elements of the dishes as we were told it’s a seasonal menu, but I will say that the chef was very bold with his flavors and not afraid to take chances with dishes. We’ve done tasting menus before and this topped them all. It was bold, adventurous, and absolutely delicious. Additionally, the pianist that was playing was incredible throughout the night. I actually ran into him later in the night and learned his name was Winston. My wife and I were surprised that for the 3 hours we were there he was nonstop playing wonderful tunes. We noticed he had no sheet music around him so we had to ask how he did that. We confirmed our assumption that he memorizes every song and he told us “he memorizes them because he enjoys looking around the room to judge the vibe and reaction to the songs he plays”. Overall it was a wonderful evening and all should make a reservation if they’re in Vancouver. Just do the tasting menu and spend the extra money for the wine-you won’t regret it.

We found this place by accident the last time we were in Vancouver and when we had the opportunity to return the first thing we did was make a reservation. Just love this place!

Absolutely fantastic! The food is in incredible. The wine is delicious and paired perfectly with recommendations from their on site sommelier's. We had such a great dinner!

Many thinks that this place has 1 Star Michelin, therefore they expect a lot more. Instead it is inside the Michelin Guide, yes, but that doesn't mean having 1 start Michelin. Food was delicious, pricey yes, but you know in advance what you're getting yourself into. Service was outstanding, our server went above and beyond and was very knowledgeable of the menu, not hesitating giving recommendations on Cocktails, Food and Amaro. Devor and restaurant layout might be the only slightly negative comment we have, that could be improved for sure. Really nice the open-kitchen layout, although some tables are very far away. I wish the bar would be also close to the dining area, so that you could enjoy them preparing those delicious cocktails. Toilets are quite a walk, but very well organized, with even body cream.

we loved the piano player, he was amazing and his repetoire was endless! My guest had the steak and it was very good. I had the caesar salad and the cabbage roll. I mostly stick to a plantbased diet. The salad was good and the cabbage roll was just okay - the sauce that went over it was too spicy for me, and I think it would be good to let people know that it is spicy. the cocktails were different and delightful. All in all, a good time! Thank you!

This is our third time eating at this restaurant, really enjoyed our meal and they have good selection of wine for every occasion. It won't be long that we will be booking Botanist again.

The service overall was amazing. As a solo diner, I felt welcomed and taken care of. The food was great and I enjoyed watching the chefs while enjoying my meal. I will recommend to a friend and come back whenever I am in the area.

When you go to a michelin star restaurant you woukd expect them to be a lot better than it was. Being known for the legendary drink menu . Well Upon arriving being told that the night menu drinks is different than the day one but no where could I see that when I made reservations. Then basically being told no we will not make them for you and let us know if you wanna stay still. I have been in the industry along time and for someone to say that was very disappointing. Considering watching the table next to me order wine that I did not see on the lunch menu so 🤔 Food was nothing special either. Would I go back after waiting 4 years to go no and I won't recommend it either

Went here for lunch on the day of our Anniversary. Lunch was fabulous. When compared to previous visits the service this time left a little to be desired.

The vibe was just ok here. Luckily, our server was very cute and friendly so he made up for it. The drinks were underwhelming overall … I wish they’d had a bigger cocktail menu. I might come back here - but just to see the server again.
