Le Bistrot La Minette est l'aboutissement du rêve du chef cuisinier Peter Woolsey, qui a commencé il y a 10 ans au cours de ses premiers pas d'étudiant en France : ouvrir un restaurant qui partage son amour de l'expérience de bistrot authentique avec les habitants de Philadelphie. Peter porte un grand respect aux plats traditionnels qu'il crée et honore les méthodes classiques françaises pour une cuisine de bistrot unique. Ses plats salés et ses pâtisseries sont en constante évolution pour tenir compte des saisons, de la disponibilité des meilleurs ingrédients et de l'inspiration du chef. Ils sont issus des différentes régions françaises et de la multitude de délices que chacune peut offrir. Le service est à la fois efficace et chaleureux, avec une grande attention à l'hospitalité et à l'accueil. L'objectif du Bistrot La Minette est de proposer un lieu accessible à tous pour profiter d'une cuisine et d'un vin de qualité, avec les personnes qui partagent votre repas, en espérant évoquer les meilleurs souvenirs ou rêves d'un bistrot de cuisine française traditionnel.

Have dined at BLM several times over the years. While it has been hit or miss at times, the food has generally been good, and we love the bustling ambience. This was different. The Salade Verte met expectations, but the main courses fell far short pf the mark. The magret de canard, which was ordered medium, as it had been in the past, was inedibly overcooked and tough. The steak au poivre was the same: even for someone who likes her steak rawhide tough and well done. Either the kitchen neglected the meat on the grill or it cooked under a heat lamp for an inordinate amount of time. We waited a long time for our meal. To its credit, the restaurant did not charge for the duck. With so many alternatives that have proven more reliable, we doubt we will be returning any time soon.

We had the special bistro four course menu with the wine pairings. Food was delicious, especially the Salade Lyonnaise with the tarragon vinaigrette! Service by Ryan was impeccable, and his welcoming personality only added to our evening. Charming restaurant with great food and staff.

We absolutely enjoyed the brasserie classics dinner with wine pairing! The entire meal was superb! Soupe à l’oignon gratinée Onion soup, crouton, comté cheese Marquis de Pennautier 2020 Languedoc, Chardonnay Salade lyonnaise Poached egg, bacon, frisee, tarragon vinaigrette Domaine Romy Les Pierres Dorées 2021 Beaujolais, Gamay Entrecôte frites Rib eye steak, béarnaise sauce, French fries Château Platon 2021 Bordeaux, Merlot/Cab Franc Baba au rhum Baba cake soaked in rum, roasted pineapple, whipped cream Château Loupiac-Gaudiet 2019 Bordeaux, Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon We can't wait for our next visit!

What an altogether lovely meal we enjoyed! The restaurant's ambiance is charming: very pretty; very French. The service was delightful: Nicole was attentive & efficient and & welcoming. My husband & I lingered over excellent cocktails (a rare pleasure in restaurants these days--no rush whatsoever). The food was superb and bountiful: delicious, garlicky escargots; a perfectly dressed & sprightly green salad; well- cooked, classic trout meunière ; tender and flavorful steak au poivre; and an eggy rhubarb tarte with strawberry sorbet. We brought half of the entrees home with us. This was our first time dining at the Bistro, but we'll be back this summer for a birthday fête. We've just moved to the neighborhood, but this unpretentious, charming, and perfectly French restaurant is now one of our go-tos.
