The service was great - we had a most enjoyable time learning from and about the students, the instructor, and the school. The food was good and the environment was very nice. Even the dessert that I ordered but was told that 'the chef did not want to serve' because it wasn't perfect - and they let me taste anyway- was really good (maybe even the tastiest thing I had!). Overall, a good experience even if it wasn't the best food ever - I'm sure it varies from visit to visit.

We always enjoy our visits to Bistro Perrier. The food selections are always creative and tasty. The servers do a fine job. It’s always a nice evening out.

The entire experience was top notch. I had the French onion soup and the skate. The skate was a recommendations by the server and it tasted exactly as he described it; a sweet fish, a mix between crab and scallop. It was cooked perfectly. Because it was my birthday, I finished off my meal with bananas foster crème brûlée. My compliments to the chef!

It feels like you can't go wrong here.. whatever the chefs-in-training make, it will be supervised and treated with extra care. It was a fabulous meal!

We were greeted by a staff member who invited us to the bar area until our table was ready. Selected a nice French wine fir us. The waiter was attentive and understood the items on the menu, selected a beet salad and onion soup for appetizers and a fish special and a pasta dish. Both were wonderful. The room was beautiful snd tables were placed nicely apart for a private conversation . Good luck to the staff snd thank you fir a lovely experience and meal,

It is fun to see people learning the trade and business side of things. They are good but they are also earnest. It makes for a unique experience.

Pasta was excellent the salad was was wonderful the soup was divine the entree was mediocre and the dessert table was delicious, all in all it was a pleasant way to celebrate the holiday with a friend. The ambience was excellent it remind you of a little Italian Cafe excellent atmosphere.

We attended the Holiday Buffet. The service by the students was terrible. We had to search for someone to place a drink order and to get our check. The quality of the food was just okay, but the portions offered for the main courses were minuscule. Given that the price was $75 without drinks, it was an awful value.

The food was so disappointing. Salad was soggy and not well prepared. The chicken Cordon Bleu was over cooked, and the duck was mushy.. very disappointing dinner. Our server was very inapt. The restaurant itself is beautiful . Unfortunately, we will not return.

Food wasn’t as good as usual - and we eat there a few times a year. Maybe it was because we ate during the last 90 minutes of service. The coq au vin was dry, the mushrooms under the salmon were undercooked and tough, onion soup was over-salted. Service was prompt and polite, but a bit unprofessional. I guess every college is having trouble with the new class of first-years. We’ll give them another chance, so I hope it was an off night.

We knew what we were getting into with students learning. Don’t go there for service however, the students do even seem prepared to start serving. I suggest they practice before working with real clients, lots of mistakes made in the service. The maitre de tries to help them but needs to prep them in advance on how to serve it. Drinks sat empty before asked for refill, serving napkins were dropped on my lap, fork and cutting knives were put in the wrong side. Server had no personality and didn’t talk to us. Food was mediocre, I do recommend the onion soup. Price was fine. I will still come back, great experience

Entering Bistro Perrier is like opening a door on Walnut Street and walking into Europe. The food is thoughtfully designed, covers gluten sensitivities, vegetarian choices, and new combinations of fresh foods to delight traditional offerings.

Three of us had a lovely dinner at Bistro Perrier. The escargot needed a bit more salt, but was very good. The spinach side dish was the best sautéed spinach I’ve ever eaten — so fresh, lifted but not overpowered by garlic and lemon—Delicious!! Our entrées were fabulous— duck; lamb and coq au vin. Bottle of French Merlot, finished with espressos and crème brûlée and chocolate decadence. The servers were delightful and attentive. The value and experience cannot be beat in Philadelphia!

Our waiter, Dean, provided excellent service and advice on entree selections. If there is an area for improvement it would be to show more confidence in his interaction. Can't wait for our next visit.

Having zero experience with French dining, we felt Bistro Perrier was a “safe” choice to begin. We mistakenly walked past the entrance as maître d’ and guest host had to amusingly chase us down outside. The dining area is so much fun! A lot of effort was put in to this. check in professionally handled. Our server was gracious, but a bit awkward with the different steps and processes. Knowing that this is a culinary school, I guess we must allow for this. our server was very friendly, as was all the staff. That’s for the food, no disappointments from us. Although, at the conclusion, we both agreed everything was heavily salted. The puff pastry appetizer with chicken was amazing! My dates pan fried veal had the most amazing soft texture! Wish I knew how to do that at home. Steak Frites for me perfectly accompanied by sautéed mushrooms. in conclusion, with the exception of some lags between services, and some awkward, waiting times due to staff, I would highly recommend. Just be aware that this. is a school, and we are rooting for the students success. Remembering it was a learning experience for us as well

We had a great experience at Bistro Perrier. There were only a few menu options, but everything was delicious and service was great. We enjoyed the water fountain and the limited number of tables for privacy, more space, and normal noise to enjoy a conversation while listening to music. I had only visited the pastry shop before, but after this experience I can't wait to go again.

From the moment you are greeted as you enter, to the moment you are saying good bye this is an awesome experience. I had been in the main dining room about 6 years ago and recalled the same ambience...the room takes your breath away, like being on a movie set. Our waiter and a server were professional and caring but not intrusive. Remember...these are students of the school! I had ordered a chocolate martini as did my friend when she arrived....perfect!! Bread and butter served immediately after we ordered...delicious. We shared a salad and then I dug into my main course, duck. Well...the leg was too salty and burnt to a crisp BUT the pasta my friend had was delicious. Desserts were shared, YUM!! We were also interviewed before we parted and we will definitely return.

What a great concept. The students are the servers, chefs, etc at this restaurant. Our server was quiet and reserved but I think he was a little nervous. The interior of the restaurant really looked like Paris and the prices for PHL were really great. Thank you!

The food in this establishment is excellent, and the wine list extensive and offering a wide range of prices. The ambience is fabulous- a European courtyard setting. The service is keen, and as a school for aspiring restaurant waiters it is to be expected that the waiting staff were not yet expect at all matters, but they were well supervised by the Maitre D. Overall, a lovely dining experience!

What a delightful evening! It was our anniversary and we wanted to be in a cool place with good food. We are so glad we tried Bistro Perrier-it was a fabulous evening! The place is beautiful and the service was 5 stars. Our server Aiden tended to our every need with excellent pacing. We were not rushed yet he appeared whenever it was time. I truly appreciated that he waited until we were both finished our courses before he would take away both plates. The food was delicious and there were little extras that made it very special-even a champagne toast and petite chocolates after our dessert plated with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate. Laurent F (supervisor of our evening) provident excellent care and supervision and we could not be more pleased-he is exceptional in his caring for everything to be top notch. Can't wait to go back and try one of the special evening events. Thank you for a delightful evening!

We love coming here! It's the best service; the servers and staff genuinely care about what they are doing and about their guests. The menu was good, the cocktails were fantastic! The food was delicious and we had a wonderful experience as usual. We will be back!

I took my mom here for her birthday. We enjoyed our food. You could not tell that it was students preparing the food. It is students that prepare your food as well as be your server. As for pricing I say it was moderate. If I had to make one suggestion maybe have the hostess be more warm and welcoming. You should have a great evening if you dine here. By the way I am alumni of The Restaurant School/ Walnut Hill College. My mom would be upset if I didn't mention it. Because she told every single person that when we were at dinner. Lol
