Bardea, pronounced: bar-DAY-ah, is the Italian term for "the goddess of food and drink." The stunning, 120-seat restaurant utilizes ingredients from local Delaware Valley farms and purveyors, and features modern interpretations of traditional Italian and Mediterranean dishes. In 2019, Bardea Food & Drink received a semifinalist nomination in the James Beard Foundation's "Best New Restaurant" category.

    The food was delicious, the service fantastic, the restaurant was comfortable and as the night went on became more exciting. A hub of good food and good times in downtown Wilmington. Loved it!

    Love the new addition of the crab bruschetta it is very flavorful on your house made bread. Pizza calamari gnocchi were fabulous as always as was our service

    This is the second time we've celebrated our wedding anniversary at Bardea Food and Drink. Ashley was an excellent server. The guys who brought the dishes to the table were great presenters. I can't say enough positive things about Bardea. We'll be bringing our friends back with us in the near future, as we've decided Bardea is our "go to" spot.

    Food was very good. Enjoyed every forkful. The noise level, however is way too high. My husband, who has excellent hearing, was struggling with ringing ears.

    The calamari is amazing. Besides that, each dish has its own problem. The pizza is called honey spice but it's too hard to taste if there's any honey or any spice. I don't even recognize there is spice in it. Talking about the octopus, black garlic mole is so uncomfortable with the octopus and the plantain tamale is ssoooooo wierd I don't know what the f that it, the taste of the tamale is soooo bad. So rare to taste something like that. The mafaltini is tooooo salty and it's so weird... No mushroom flavour or chicken flavor in it (as its menu said there should be). The only good one is desert. I ordered morning bun. It's so amazing and delicious, makes me think about it for two days after. Overall, the experience is bad. Starting from the host, she found like 5 minutes and doesn't even give us the correct menu (there are two other strangers name on the top of our menu...said celebrating for them) . Then is the terrible food...
