We absolutely loved dining outside by the water. The food was amazing and the service was excellent! Highly recommend dining here while in Beaufort.

Our waitress was amazing! She made my Mom’s birthday special and was very delightful. The food was also delicious as always.

The service and ambiance were great. The food, well priced reasonably, was subpar and not prepared correctly. We started with the charcuterie board which was very good and reasonably priced. I went with the pork ragout special and what I got was pappardelle with some pork swimming in a plate of water. I can't remember the last time I sent a dish back, but this is one of those times. I asked the server if it is supposed to be so watery. She asked the chef and I was told "yes, that's because it wasn't served in a bowl." So are you telling me that you didn't serve me the food properly? I don't really believe that's the case. What I think happened was they threw the pasta right out of the water onto a plate and put the pork "ragout" (and I use that term loosely because there was no real sauce to speak of) and didn't really "marry" the sauce and pasta. I swapped out the special for the shrimp and grits and that was tasty, but the shrimp didn't seem local, but rather frozen. My dining partner had the grouper which he said was overcooked and underseasoned.

The food is very good. We both had grouper and it was prepared well. Service in the restaurant was a little slow, but our server had tables inside and outside so she was stretched a bit. We had to wait a bit for seating for our 6:30 reservation, but we asked for outside. I think the hostess was trying to accommodate our request. There was a mixup in which table was ours, but it was figured out eventually. The only issue was the bar. While we were waiting for our table we went to the bar. We were given the drink menu and completely ignored from that point on. One bartender was more interested in serving the folks who walked up after we were seated and never asked if we wanted a drink. We walked away and did not order a drink there. Very rude.

Was excited to eat here and now, kind of wish we had not. Our waiter, Sam, was very nice but was not very present. He tried to be attentive, but I felt like he was spread thin. We were given outdated menus which really, when we got the new ones, the only thing different was the cocktails. There was an entire page dedicated to wines, beers and spirits and one page with a very limited and not that appetizing menu. When we both picked hamburgers, I knew it was sort of a sad night out. The mushroom side was an overwhelming size and sadly, had no taste at all. Just a rather disappointing $80 spent. I understand the old chef/owner is back and I hope he makes some changes for the good. Hope that they get additional seafood items on the menu, would be a shame to be on the water and not have anything really great. Regardless, I don't believe we will be back.

It's been four years since we were last here and we were unfortunately disappointed this time around. We ordered the pork belly appetizer and it was fried to the point that it was hard all the way through. Someone in our group ordered the grouper and it was so dry that it was inedible. I will say that three of us got crabcakes and those were all very good. The food had been so inconsistent that we didn't chance dessert. Our server was friendly, but not very attentive. It took a loooong time to get our check. When we did, my husband who had ordered a gin & tonic with a shot of cointreau, was charged $10 for the gin & tonic and an additional $12 for a shot of cointreau. Unreal.

Location is great. Service is great and food is great. I think it’s just a touch overpriced, but I suppose that’s to be expected for tourist destinations.
